Thank you for your time and due diligence proff, between your videos and reading Ed Rosenthal grow book, I've been learning a lot on how to grow some amazing buds in the future!
I remove the huge fan leaves, the width of my hand or so from top to bottom because I want the light to get through to the bottom and up and down the colas. I have 5 huge colas held up by stakes and but I eventually stretched a mesh across to hold the all up. I had a wet spot on the floor of my tent which caused me to slip and fall into a plant. I damaged a branch low off of the main stem and thought it was finished, but I did what I could with plant ribbon to mend it and it has recovered nicely. Which kinda showed me these plants are easily manipulated for training/
@@DeBaccoUniversity I'll be eagerly awaiting. Plant training and pruning are some of the most interesting topics to me. I hope you talk in-depth about each technique, indoors (tent and grow room) and outside (field and greenhouse).
i'm practicing with a bag of rando seeds. one i've totally dressed down to new colas and growth only, one i'm bushing out. that was a lot of stress so i'm thinking to wait 2 weeks to let her grow out again.
Can never go wrong with the no touch technique, tie rope close to top and tie to side corner of tent 90 degrees. All tops. Uneven as all hell but it works. No work at all really just tucking n very little plucking
Week 3 is typically when pruning should start, but often growers use node count more than a day (or week) count. Example for plant topping typically you want to wait until at least the 5th node with the 6th or 7th being more typical depending on ceiling height and strain being grown.
This is the best channel on youtube.
Thanks for this, I think this channel has the best viewers;-)
Fimming and removing the bottom 1/3 (Lolly popping) work best got me. In Flower, remove large fan leaves day 21 and again on day 42. Good info!
This is a common method used... because of the results in the end.
As always, great advice. It’s awesome being able to use this free knowledge to help myself and now others. Truly an inspiration.
Thanks for this comment!

Glad to be part of your learning process.
Love the vids man. Short and sweet!
Glad you like them!
Sir GOD bless you
Thank you!
I’d like to see a study on how a codominant meristem effects growth, and how the node at which they protrude wants to split open
Typically will reduce overall height potential.
I have almost no spacing between nodes and have 4 branches stacked 2 on 2 on each node. Any ideas? Mutant?

Many different training options, but the end goal is the same... efficient use of available light.
Thank you ❤
You are welcome 😊
Great video!
Glad you liked it, more detailed videos on each specific pruning technique to come soon;-)

Thank for this great information and it's really well presented. I wonder what method you would recommend for an outdoor grow in soil/ground?
Search on this channel the word "outdoor" and enjoy! ;-)
Yo if I watch every DeBacco U video do get a diploma or something? Send me my BA in fat nuggets!
That is over 1,000 videos;-) Go forth and apply the knowledge (and tell others;-)
@@DeBaccoUniversity so is that a yes ;)

Aloha & Leaf stripping the bottom leaves will prohibit symptoms of nutrient mining the mobile elements issues from showing.
Another good point and benefit of this method.

Good to take a pause for the plant.
Hey Doc, on the Super Cropping part, when would be the best time to do that?
Depends how tall you can let your plants get, but not before the 5th node would be encouraged.
@DeBaccoUniversity 5th I can work with that. Now let's say I was growing them about 4-5 ft. What would your recommendation be?
How does one consider day 21 for instance when cloning each crop? I’n this case I wouldn’t see a true day zero? Am I mistaken ?
Thanks professor
You can use 21 days from the day of clipping the cutting as a reference point.
More great info. I'm curious which medium and method of growing you prefer.
Depends on the situation, soilless mix for indoor and soil for outdoor.
@@DeBaccoUniversity you dont say...
please do a video on defoliation.
Thanks for the suggestion.
Thank u so much ...

General pruning and lollipop-ping aren’t the same???
No one is a specific technique/style.

Tucking and plucking method sound like a catchy name;-)
When should you start pruning? I’m on week 3

Can fan leaves be removed whenever?
In short... yes;-)
@@DeBaccoUniversity thx so much
Can you do one on organic soil amendments?
