    I got 46.6mph with everything stock . I was thinking of doing that exact same thing with the 60amp esc , but after watching your video i think i will keep it stock . Thanks for the video.

    Haha, enjoying your work. Has ordered the ESC and the upgrade metal geared servo and alloy servo saver found on serious rc uk for my 14209.

    Nice! Those included ESCs are no fun :) When I changed in another Bang Good Special I used a clamping tool and squeezed the bullets in place. Might not be able to remove it later but yeah, it works :)

      There is no issue with the esc. The issue is the receiver and remote control. I paired my HyperGo 14301 with a Flysky receiver and my Flysky Noble, and it is night and day.

    What timing (in °) are you using with your stock motor?
    Also, what are the motor bullet connection size 3.5mm? 4mm?

    • @cheggers1973
      @cheggers1973  8 месяцев назад

      This 60A ESC doesn't have a timing option..if it did, I wouldn't use it.. the connectors on the ESC are 4mm so the motor bullets needed changing from 3.5mm.

  • @luchu270

    How did you hold the esc to the plastic? Double tape? Would it be "bad" to cut the plastic and tape the esc to the metal chassis? I guess it protect the esc from some dust when it higher.

    • @cheggers1973
      @cheggers1973  8 месяцев назад +1

      It's stuck to the plastic with some super sticky double sided foam tape, you can remove it and stick it directly to the chassis if you want, it will stick better to that.
      Thanks for watching!

    Was there a weight increase with the new ESC?
    It makes since that you wouldn't see an increase with just ESC because speed is the results of RPM and gear ration, and voltage determines the motor output. (KV x V = RPM) so any speed change would be the results of changes in weight or environmental conditions.
    Nice looking build, I am working on a H14BM that I just picked up. But here on the other side of the pond parts availability is bad. Some of the parts I order after they shipped still are 50+ days out.

    • @cheggers1973
      @cheggers1973  9 месяцев назад +2

      Yeah the ESC is a little heavier than the stock one but I didn't weigh it.. Yeah I kinda knew what the results would be, the main point of fitting it was for better throttle response and punch settings ect.. I just thought it was a good enough theme for a vid.... Big wheels next..
      Thanks For Watching!

      I used the mamba micro x2 and mine runs great. Same size as the original esc. Ran it on 4s and it is awesome. m.ruclips.net/video/OQrOcqf7Pc0/видео.html

      I tried the pinion form the 14-302 because it is bigger but it does not fit. Hopefully they revise the model so we have the option to swap motors and pinion.

      I have the jetwood branded h14bm/ 14210 and 120a esc stock pinion 14t, 85mm wheels, stock motor, 4s 56mph, I've done multiple motor swaps (kv), and up too 18t pinion, .6mod pinions, modded stock motor mount easy mod to do, waiting on 2860 4050kv 4s to come so don't have to mod for 3650 motor

    I just did the aluminum front end upgrade. First test run I noticed steering was off badly. Any suggestions?

    • @cheggers1973
      @cheggers1973  9 месяцев назад

      Reset your steering trim to center then reset the steering arms so it runs straight under power... To simulate that you just push gently at the front of the side wall on both wheels,pushing towards the center of the car... Set straight under power and it should run straighter depending how loose everything is..

      I did the rear end too and it seemed to help. Maybe a weight imbalance. Also adjusted some screws I think I had everything cranked down to tight

    • @dexterdcdexter
      @dexterdcdexter 6 месяцев назад

      Shim the front and rear lower arms. There is a lot of slop. Once that slop is taken care of the car will handle and brake way better. I notices the same when I installed the metal arms. The shims prevented the arms from moving freely.
