Attention everyone, you NEED to watch this video! I made a pronunciation mistakes and it was hilariously awkward. I was trying to tell someone in French that my friend is a psychotherapist, but I mispronounced the vowel in the last syllable. Instead of 'psychothérapeute,' I ended up saying 'psychothérapute' - essentially calling her a 'psychothera-whore'! 😂 Trust me, pronunciation matters.
I have been practicing my French comprehension and I am able to understand much better than before, however now I want to focus myself on speaking it! I still need help a bit help with pronunciation and not sounding like a robot, but I know I’ll get there one day! Thanks for the video!

I always wondered if the French were just pretending not to understand me 😂. Now I know it’s probably my pronunciation. Can't wait to practice more and finally get those French compliments.
We've all been in this situation, trying to make ourselves understood in another language. Saying the same thing ten times, until the native speaker repeats it, exactly as we said it, and says "that's what you meant! Sorry, I didn't get it earlier"! Deep down, we say to ourselves "that's exactly how I said it". But was it?!? 😅😂
@@LearnFrenchwithLexie It's funny and frustrating at the same time.😂👌🏻 It's amazing how much of a difference just a slight change in pronunciation can make. One time, instead of «merci beaucoup» (thanks a lot) I accidently said «Merci. Beau cul» (Thanks. Nice ass!). I'll never make that mistake again😂😭 But it's all part of the learning journey, right? Thanks for the encouragement - I'll keep practicing and hopefully, one day I'll get it right on the first try!
@@tina-marino Believe me, I know! When you first learn a language, it's like being deaf and dumb. You don't understand the native speakers and you can't speak it. You spend time studying, you train your ears and eventually you understand the native speakers, but they don't understand you. It's frustrating, because we all learn languages to communicate with other people. But learning a language takes time and practice. With time you'll get there! Where there's a will, there's a way!
@@LearnFrenchwithLexie Lexie, you described it perfectly. I don't know why but my brain can speak better French than my mouth can. 😂🤦🏻♀ but you are right. learning a language takes time and practice.💪🏻 language is something that everybody's gotta learn, nobody's born knowin

im pretty sure she pronounces the third sound in first example wrong 😂😂😂 i categories these as nasal versions of my native polish sounds u, o and a, and her last one sounds more like nasal y/e XD and you know French has shit load of sounds between e and y to begin with so talking this way would complicate life of person listening immensely... 😢 funny that later on she pronounces it right 😅
@@LearnFrenchwithLexie I mean I make these mistakes because I am not really used to these rules(since it’s very different from English and especially German which is very phonetic)
