It's been pretty windy in Vernon BC too! On Thursday, it hailed too. I got pelted on the way home by hail stones. The wind was so strong, I had to drive my mobility scooter with one hand while holding down my canopy with the other. I was sure glad to get home! This bee craft looks so cute! Thank you for the idea!
Very cute idea!!! Maybe run the black and white ribbon around the top of the pot and skip the black spackle layer altogether? Like Erick said, you definitely need something to go between the yellow of the pot and the yellow spackle. Very cute idea though! Like you said, you never know until you try! I always love when I hear you say it will be fine. It reminds me of the mantra my teacher coworkers and I adopted last school year with all the COVID protocols we had to go through. We just kept telling ourselves that it was fine, that everything would be fine! 😊

Love this craft so cute. The black frosting might have been better if you put it on and left it to dry for a while before putting the weight of the yellow and white on top. We have had lots of wind and it snowed again this morning enough to cover the lawn but it melted and was gone in a couple of hours. Got all of my craft supplies but I have been unpacking and sorting the boxes stored in the shop from when we moved almost two years ago. If I quit the shop sorting to craft I know I won't want to go back to finish it. We moved into a house that is 1/3 smaller footage so lots of stuff needs to go. It seems that spring is reluctant to arrive this year. We get a few warm days and then it's back to below zero temps. TFS Hugs Ann

Very cute JoAnn, I ve had trouble with my cupcakes when I used overly wet spackel but I put it in the freezer for about an hour then in the fridge to give it a chance to set up to prevent it from running. Well, I won't make that mistake again, LOL!! I went ahead and made another one that turned out great. I did not mix lots of paint in the spackle and used no water and let it sit over night and the black color got dark. It worked perfect, I will show it in today's video. You can add baby powder or flour to the spackle if it is to thin from adding a lot of paint. It will thicken it back up. Super cute craft

I did not overload it with black paint and did not use any water at all and let the spackle sit overnight and it turned a dark black and went on smooth. Very cute JoAnn, I ve had trouble with my cupcakes when I used overly wet spackel but I put it in the freezer for about an hour then in the fridge to give it a chance to set up to prevent it from running.
