Thanks for the wonderful video. You have taken me through a beautiful nostalgia.
I have visited Dewan Devdi palace museum twice, in 1959 and 1961as a young teen. It was as grand as you say. However, the artefacts were on display according to Salar Jung's personal taste and they were not displayed in scientific and organised manner. The palace grounds was magnificent.
The present building and the display is superb and definitely more pleasant and absorbing for the casual visitor or a serious museum buff. The rooms and the environs is elegant, with positive vibes. Dewan Devdi definitely would not be able to handle the amount of visitors that we witness today. Also, the enclosures and preservation of the artefacts with their historical backgrounds are well designed. I have visited the new building 8 times. Salar Jung museum always fascinates me.
Dewan Devdi should have been preserved.
King Kothi should be restored. Hill Fort Palace on Naubat Pahad should be restored. Errum Manzil Palace should be restored.
Telangana Govt sould preserve the heritage structures to earn UNESCO World Heritage Site. Modern and old Hyderabad stands to gain hugely for preserving its cosmopolitan culture in the eyes of the whole world.

Extremely well made Historical documentary. A colossal tragedy to have brought down the palaces of Hyderabad State. History is the poorer because of it. SAD
