Thank you very much for your Info and your acknowledgment of this Legendary Musician. However, Dersnt Emile is Alive and Well. He has a brand a new album out called “Caribbean Sunshine.” The Legend just had a concert last night at The Grand Prospect Hall High School in Brooklyn.

Maestro Fabrice Rouzier, it's always an honour for me to receive a comment from you on any of my videos. Unfortunately, I could only find this single track "Nan Fon Bwa". I literally looked everywhere for a possible album, but couldn't find any. I was able to find this single thanks to someone who posted it here on RUclips. However, he released a jazz album last year, called "Caribbean Sunshine". :-) Mèsi ankò pou vizit la. Mwen swete w yon bòn semèn.

Hello my friend, I like your presentation of the music of Dernst Emile and the acknowledgement of his son’s accomplishments. However, it seems like you are speaking of him as if he were dead or not with us anymore. On the contrary, he is well alive and still playing, teaching, arranging and composing music in our community. I am one of his finest students from a very long time. I actually was with him last night for a show in Brooklyn New York. I hope that clarifies things for you.
Lenockorea, thank you so much for confirming that. I am extremely in joy to know that he is still well and sharing his amazing skills. Like I mention in the presentation, Dernst Emile is a discreet man, therefore the few sources I have used led me to think that he was either no longer active or has passed. However, you will notice that I refrained from saying that he was no longer alive. I do appreciate your comment, thank you again and all the best. Lucky you! My regards to the master!
I am also one of his students as well, and I can confirm that his show from last week(03/22/24) was a great one. He is alive and doing well, as the others have mentioned. If you would like to hear more of his mastery at work, I would encourage to check his new album, "Caribbean Sunshine" available on iTunes and Amazon music.

I was by his house on Saturday. I’m not merely a student (over 20 years now) this man is my dad, counselor, shoulder to cry on and one of the finest man, musician ever to walk the earth. He is very much alive!

Avant tout, merci pour la visite. Tu as raison pour l'utilisation de l'imparfait dans l'introduction, car je le pensais effectivement déjà mort, car il n'y a "quasiment" rien sur lui en ligne, comparativement aux décennies de belles œuvres qu'il a créées. J'ai ajouté une note à la description pour confirmer qu'il est bien vivant et actif dans le milieu jazz. Tu as sans doute survolé cette note, mais il est bien là. Par ailleurs, tu as beau connaître Dernst Emile, mais tu dois néanmoins reconnaître que son nom passerait comme une lettre à la poste auprès des haïtiens et notamment des jeunes. Tu peux faire un sondage, si cela t'enchante. De mon côté, ma vidéo n'a autre but que de faire connaître le travail et l'héritage Mr Dersnt Émile. Si elle peut permettre ne serait-ce à une seule personne de découvrir ce monsieur, j'aurai accompli ma mission.
