Thank you!! I’ve been trying to figure out how to dehydrate noodles for a while. I’m a flight attendant and only have hot water available on the plane, I’m always looking for something a little healthier and hot to eat.
You might consider trying dehydrating some soups. Also anything with meat you probably want to store in a freezer if you have it longer than a few weeks, but soups, dehydrate beautifully with hot water… It might need to sit for a few minutes, depending upon any vegetables, you might have them. Black beans and kidney beans dehydrate and rehydrate really well also… Just to give you a few more ideas
Just found this video. I never even thought of trying this and didn't tealize Walmart had a ramen noodle. Thank you so much! I'm going to try dehydrating these. Normally I'm not great at dehydrating, but there's always anther try. ❤
I enjoy learning new recipes, and now that I've chosen to try my hand at creating/storing/vacuum sealing different items so we have them handy at a moments notice. Im thankful you have chosen to share the ramen recipe with your viewers. But do you have any good recipes for things like fruit leather or fruit roll ups that you would be willing to share (for the dehydrator)?
I've done them a couple times with good success. I just clean and blend the fruit in a blender, then put them on my trays WITH parchment paper. I dehydrate these at 125 degrees Fahrenheit. I do not add sugar as that does not always dehydrate well. If I did something like blueberries, I would mix with applesauce to get the sweeter taste if needed. When they feel "leathery", I flip then over and remove the parchment paper to be sure the center on the bottom is dry, and dehydrate longer if needed. When finally done, put them on parchment or plastic wrap, roll them up and cut them to desired size.
I enjoy watching your videos. You can store your dehydrated meat for longer with oxygen absorbers. I would say 1 year if there is fat but up to 10 yrs+ no fat 😊
Thank you for watching my videos… I hope you are a subscriber! You are correct I think on how many can be stored… As long as it’s not a high fat meat. I tend to be a bit more conservative sometimes when I’m doing videos :-) USDA says home made jerky can be stored on the shelf one to two months so I used that guideline this time :-)
I love this idea for taking my lunch to work. Thanks for sharing.
