nice video, keep up the work. afther a lot of hesitation i went for the samsung G9 oled last year, love to game on it. great update from a 35 inch widescreen
Welcome to the rabbit hole... you shall never escape! 🤣 I'd say you could squeeze triple screens into that space, just run a super tight angle which will enclose you into the space. Make one of the monitors into a 'door' so you can get in and out easily (that's what we've done!) Alternatively, the Samsung G9 NEO would be the next best thing IMO
you gotta set the steering angles equal to eachother in both ac and moza pithouse software, when you selected the gt preset, im guessing you forgot to change the ac one too, the steering ratio would be different, you’d be turning less physically but the car would be turning more in the game by looking at the steering wheel
Another nice video! I love all your gear. Personally for racing on a cockpit, I find a 50" TV with 16:9 Ratio to be much more immersive then a super ultra wide monitor of 49". I find you gain very little on each side with a super ultra wide but loose so much in term of vertical screen estate. I think hood or bumper view is the way to go for super ultra wide screen. Not good for cockpit view at all. I find it weird looking at 8:45 in the video (cockpit view with wheel visible on top of your real wheel), it seems very disconnected and not immersive at all. Of course, triple monitor/screen is the best of both world.
Nice video. I went from XBOX + G920 + 32" curved to PC + FANATEC + 57" Samsung super ultra-wide. The original setup was great fun however the 'upgrade' took it from enjoyable to seriously addictive. But the rabbit hole is a real b****** - am now thinking of either adding two small monitors either side of the ultra wide OR sellling it and getting 3 x 32 inch monitors...
Love the Video! One Question: What T slot covers are you using to cover the Led Lights on the right? - are lose Frosted T-slot covers or Red T Slot cover?
No covers needed, search up "govee neon wall light", they happen to fit perfectly between the slots - if you wanna see how I installed them I made a video, go to 8:22 ruclips.net/video/pzrf3Jqq3Ic/видео.htmlsi=lgxtqzALSyO53EGx
You should consider raising the wheel base higher and a bit flatter. It seems to be too low and a severe angle. Your current setup may start to hurt your wrist/elbows. Great vid as always!
We use Panasonic s5iix, we have 4 for when we do multicam stuff, in this video I only used 2 though for the driving segment. Phones are good enough to start out imo, although a cheap camera like a Panasonic G7 is always a good option! $200 ish used
@@TechTesseract that’s a nice camera! I have a Sony 6500 with a 35m and a 50m lens. So when you film your videos of you talking to the camera, how do you loop it over the b roll while showcasing products? Is that two camera or an editing technique.
MOZA seems great but I made the mistake of ordering from them directly and I’ve been getting the run around for a month now. Really sucks cause I know so many people have them and love them.
Yep, I usually get around 140-150 fps on assetto maxed out so doesn't make any difference really. Looks a tad sharper though being smaller and I prefer the extra horizontal pixels for sim racing
Worst thing about sim setups is the.. setting up. Surprises me how something even as common as a G29/G920 wheel and pedals can feel totally unrealistic from game to game. It's an insane battle to get it some what right. Not unlike HOTAS setups in Flight Simulator, to DCS etc. Wits end I tell ya
so why not go for VR? That's the only way to go imho... more immersive then ANY monitor(or multiple monitors)! I can almost guarantee you once you have it dialed down, you will never simrace in pancake mode ever again! (there are the exceptions that do go back , but I'm pretty sure they didn't get past the initial tinkering, and/or period of getting their VR legs)
I must be one of those exceptions lol xD Been a VR user since the Oculus DK2 days.... I have an HP reverb G2 hanging on the left hand side of the rig, got it all hooked up and dialed in nicely with OVR toolkit and assetto corsa - the immersion is super nice but I just don't find myself using it as often as the monitor. Something nice about seeing the cockpit and all the buttons and not having something strapped to your face. Also resolution has always been a bit of a pain point for me, the reverb G2 looks fantastic compared to a lot of other headsets on the market and is relatively comfortable but still not 100% there yet IMO
"hobby" the term we use as an excuse to build expensive stuff and not sound like we have a spending probably lol my hobby is homelab so i build servers haha total reasonable hobby to drop 3k on server parts haha
Appreciate it! Been a busy year this last one with moving multiple times, nice to finally settle down and start being able to create more content again

Epic upgrades and another smashing video, great stuff!

Yeah could be an option, I got about 60 inches, so not sure whether 32's or 42's would be viable - Yeah or the G9!

That ROG monitor is so awesome!
Awesome setup always wanted something like that but it’s too expensive
Wow they have come a long way on sim peripherals. Love to see the brand is strong and very present at micro center locations in the US
Super dope video man the setups are looking spiiiiiiice!
Ay thx dude!!

haha glad you enjoyed!
Nice, what wallpaper is that?
قوة خويا الروجي ❤❤
weird detail question.... 4:44. where did you get that background?! its so clean AND fits so well!!
It's from wallpaper engine!

@@TechTesseract Awesome! Thanks for the advice!
Do you prefer the ASUS or the MSI 49” monitor better??
What monitor stand are you using?
When the setup tour coming
Looks great!
What keyboard is that?
That is a KZZI K75!
OMG❤ This is the video which I wanted to see. It is amazing
Keep up the good work. I am based in the uk a big fan

Thanks for the tip! Will try it out
02:03 ASUS sure have some wild monitor names nowadays 😂😂

@@TechTesseracthow do you go about filming your videos? Do you just use one camera? I’d like to start making content but no idea where to start.

Yeah that part is just basic editing really, speaking in the background, overlay B roll etc
What LED strips have you mounted on your sim rig? @TechTessract
MOZA seems great but I made the mistake of ordering from them directly and I’ve been getting the run around for a month now. Really sucks cause I know so many people have them and love them.
Now you have to try VR and forget monitors for racing :))
So your new monitor is the same resolution and lower hz?
Yep, I usually get around 140-150 fps on assetto maxed out so doesn't make any difference really. Looks a tad sharper though being smaller and I prefer the extra horizontal pixels for sim racing
gave a like great video
i noticed your steering angle is a bit off during your GT racing, tweak it a bit and you'll find it to be more immersive / engaging
What should it be set to? Think the preset set it at 540 degrees
@@TechTesseract I honestly don't know lol. I just set it until my wheel aligns with the in-game wheel when i turn

Still cheaper than a real car though 👍🤣
What ever happened to the third avatar fpu and CPU? Did I miss this?
The rig looks amazing.... just way beyond what I could ever financially consider.
Third giveaway is being posted tomorrow on nays Instagram!
Vr is better its easier to slow down in turns. its worth it.

very nice
Those curved monitors are made much too narrow
I mean the 45 inch was much taller but I'd say I noticed/preferred the additional width/fov more for racing
@sseract Yes, maybe, but that is your choice, not mine, and I think 3 x 32 @ 1440 p 240 Mhz is just enough
Yeah triples is always the way xD
Im in Malaysia,so I can't win
