My mom passed and between her things and my things I had so much stuff! I threw out a lot of stuff and still at it! I bought a really older house with no upper kitchen cabinets at all. Just a long open shelf to put my everyday dishes on which I hate. I have a little counter just like yours that needs an upper cabinet like that. Can't wait to get one. I'm trying to become a minimalist in this storage challenged house. I don't like clutter either, especially with things I know I will never use. I swear my mom had 5 duplicates of everything, lolol. I'm trying to break the habit because my family is the same with keeping multiples of everything and not wanting to let things go. But for our mental sake we have to let it go! I actually just recorded another declutter and organizing video! I hope youre able to get organized soon!
I feel you on the emotional attachment to the bowls, I still have the first mixing bowl I ever bought when I moved into my own home, it came in a set of 3 from Walmart, literally the cheapest set they have, and it’s my go to still to this day. Surprisingly it is still in great condition considering I’ve moved 10+ times, 2 of which were out of state moves, and made hundreds off different things in it.
I think the small bowl is to put your vanilla, baking powder, baking soda, or things like that, maybe if you want to have it already measured out for a video to show your ingredients and then pour it right in your mix. IDK but that’s what I would use it for. 😊
Beautiful, humble space. I love it! And I, too, am one of those sentimental persons just like you. I really do get attached with my previous stuff. For other people, they're old and cheap and scratched. But for me, they're the silent witnesses to my endeavours. They're my buddies through my ups and downs, my success and failures in the kitchen. Hehe.. And.. I love cute things! Mini whisk, mini spatula, mini bowl. Lol.. 😁 What do I use mini bowls for? 🤔 For 'mis en place' if I need to. Thanks for the tips! I'm laughing because I met my husband in the Army. We were cooks and that is an issue in my house. There is no growing because we got ISSUES🤣 I love how you organize. I will say that I have a room dedicated to my storage and creativity. My daughter left home and that was it...YES my own area. Thanks for your videos

They aren't exactly the same but the similarities and where our cabinets are located in our kitchens are the same. It's like a confirmation that I'm doing something right because great minds think alike😉

I need to let my hubby hear you say systems break and you have to rebuild new ones. He wasn't too happy about putting 2 new ikea storage units together but my system broke 😂😂😂

I use those little bowls for small projects that require water to glue fondant pieces together. Or if I need a single color for painting into a cake.
