I paid whole ticket to see just them that they were special guests in a venue in greece and regret not a single penny. They are clearly one of my favourite bands!!!
I've never understood why there is so much controversy regarding all the different sub-genres of metal. People who like one type of metal often dismiss any other type and get especially angry if a band they like transitions into a different sub-genre (such as Tribulation going from death metal to goth metal). As a musician myself, I can say that playing the same style of music all the time gets boring, which is a large part of why many bands make stylistic changes over time. Metal artists don't exist just to please their fans, that's what crappy pop musicians do. Some fans may demand that a band just release the same type of album over and over, but no decent musician is going to do that. Rather, they are going to explore new sounds, and fans can either have an open mind and go along with that or whine about how much better a band used to be, which accomplishes nothing.
Agree! I never understood why there has to be all these subgenres. Its music. If you like it, if it gives you goosebumps, who gives a shit about genres. When I grew up nobody raised an eyebrow because you had Black Sabbath next to Duran Duran in your record collection. Great music is great music if you think it is great music. People are treating it like religion, and they miss so much greatness because of it. Don't limit yourself to one genre. That is fanatic. Widen your horizon.

All the death metal fans should calm down. Children of the nighty clearly signified a shift to the goth sound and this feels just like a natural next step forward. You can always get back to formulas of death. Personally, I love it.
Man, I wish that more people were like you! I reviewed the record last Friday and its a 5/5 for sure, if not better than at least as good as Children of The Night and what I loved the most about both albums is that they're entirely different from everything else thats being put out! Its nice to see that people are a little more open minded sometimes :)
The Horror was meh. Decent album, but provides nothing new. Just plain Death Metal with none of the atmosphere of Formulas. I happen to like Tribulation's new sound, although Formulas is still, imo, their best album.
Tribulation Best band from Sweden my Favorite song in The World the symphony of all the sounds complete this song in a Beautiful way and make me dancing Love you Tribulation! 🎉👍❤️😘
Me too! Honestly man, I think that this band are one of the most forward thinking in the Metal genre, especially in Black Metal a genre that can be too regimented I find. Down Below could well be my album of the year though bud, I gave it a 5 /5 in my review on my channel as well if you wanted to find out a little more about it. The songs that they haven't released are EVEN better!
My first experience with this band was their Children of the Night album. This is probably why I feel the way they sound right now a natural progression. I don't say that I like it better , I am just saying that it feels natural and there are not a lot to dislike.
Jonsephar Couldn't agree more dude! I have to say though, they've saved the best for last. The tracks that haven't been released are easily the best on the album so its going to be a real treat when its released. Honestly fell in love with them on Children and this is just as good if not entirely better!
Liked their debut but sadly too much Tribulation influence there.. and there is also Vampire (swe) which is on the path of Tribulation n' so much better than Cloak.. but again; there is no other like Tribulation! \m/
Cloak are local boiz here in Atlanta!!! Thanks for name dropping em man. I haven't actually finished their album tho thanks for reminding me I need to.
I feel as though Tribulation has let go of the heavy sound they used to have and have traded that in for this heightened, vampiric sense of atmosphere. It's just like on Children of the Night but the use of instruments seem to have a more goth rock approach. Overall it does sound like the 80s - 90s goth rock with harsh vocals.
That influence was already apparent with the first album The horror if you dont only listen to the music but imagery/lyrics and atmosphere. Then with The formulas of Death and The children of night it was very obvious that they where evolving that way. So...duh.
I was a little afraid to listen to the track because it could’ve been just another one sounding like the two others already realeased, but this one surprised me, which is great.
Amorphis did it almost 20 years ago in Tuonela and Am Universum. Not original, but I'm glad I can hear something similar nowdays, I like both albuns until now.
For the style Tribulation is trying to go for, done better, check out Cloak's album from last year from Season of Mist "To Venomous Depths". When I first heard it, I thought it sounded like Children of the Night Tribulation, but with more Black Metal and energy.
Tribulation is letting them? Sure. That makes perfect sense. Nah, that Cloak album is bad. It attempts to capitalize on the succes of Children of the Night (Arguably the best Tribulation album, maybe The Formulas of Death is slightly better) without adding anything original to it. The songs, the art, the songtitles, the whole package. It's almost artistic plagiarism. It's not like the Cloak album is bad or anything, but I can't enjoy it in the slightest because it's void of artistic integrity. The whole thing leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
I never said the Cloak album was original. I just happen to like it quite a bit more than this latest Tribulation effort. Honestly, I'm definitely more of a fan of Formulas of Death and The Horror than Children of the Night, but I enjoy the sound they incorporate. All I'm saying is that the new Tribulation album has none of the balls of any of their other releases, and I'd rather listen to Cloak than this one album.
I can see that. When I first listened to Children of the Night I was disappointed, but I grew to love it over the course of a couple of months. Yes it's not as wild and adventurous as Formulas but it has this mesmerizing quality that starts pulling you in after a couple of spins. It's not an album to thrash around to and I really only listen to it under certain circumstances when I can just lay down and listen to the whole thing. But who knows, maybe I'd love the Cloak album if I didn't know of Tribulation beforehand. As it stands though, Cloak already screwed it up from the get-go for me by actively copying Tribulation.
first of i support Tribulation from early days til now... but what i read below is kinda lack of wisdom of Tribulation fans, all people here write how new and unique this music is, and in real it s goth rock music (very good one) with harsh vocals, they are many many bands playing that style of music but they use deep male vocals usually, many bands of late 80s and 90s, get some history people ! and hail Tribulation for great stuff again . last but not least it s not metal, it s goth rock
Easy and mediocre song . Hope is the only one on the album. The Lament and Lady Death are way better. Unfortunately they start to remind me of another band which took the easier path and died in mediocrity: Cemetary.
I paid whole ticket to see just them that they were special guests in a venue in greece and regret not a single penny. They are clearly one of my favourite bands!!!

I personally prefer bands that don't stick to one style during all their albums. That's why bands like Tribulation and Ghost are among my faves.

Tribulation kicks ass... Best band ive heard in a long time...

Exactly!
Formulas of Death? You mean The Horror.
Man, I wish that more people were like you! true...
Amazing track! Amazing album! Amazing band!
In LOVE with this song!!!! This is perfection.
Tribulation Best band from Sweden my Favorite song in The World the symphony of all the sounds complete this song in a Beautiful way and make me dancing Love you Tribulation! 🎉👍❤️😘
I like the low gain guitars in some of this. These Guitars players are the real deal
this song is truly magical
Favorite track so far.
I can say I already found my album of the year! Congrats Tribulation!!!

This is perfect music
It calms your inner demons buddy fr
Best of the three singles so far!

TheMetalTris Couldn't agree more. I really like all of the new songs, but the singles are the least memorable. The rest are fantastic
There is no other like this in the metal scene; Tribulation simply rules! \m/
It seems you don't know Cloak.
I haven't actually finished their album tho thanks for reminding me I need to.
don't forget to give a chance to Vampire too.. "With Primeval Force" is easily one of the best albums of 2017 \m/
Volkan KINACI You really should study about what tribulation really means in the bible !!
How can you dislike this, do you have ears? My god people really don't listen to music no more
love the direction they went in, can't wait to hear the full thing
2:20-2:35 part just melted my heart, damn good.
Excellent!!!
Fantastic!!! One of the best bands to date... up there with At the Gates & Dark Tranqullity.....

Yeah, it's more like death rock than actual death metal.
"...80s - 90s goth rock with harsh vocals." Pretty much.
Yup and Tribulation are doing this transition with class, now Machine Head?! that is how not to.
"vocals" ... more like vowel movements.
Very good !!!
Keeping the album short is just the punk aethetic in them. Still a great release guys. You have my mad props.
Tribulationnn 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
I was a little afraid to listen to the track because it could’ve been just another one sounding like the two others already realeased, but this one surprised me, which is great.
Un CAPOLAVORO! Grandissimi TRIBULATION 🖤
Love it!
Fantastic
Beautiful song🎶🎵😀
looking forward to this album
BEAUTIFUL video!
Very nice
Can't wait to see them in my home country!
This song really reminds me of The Devil's Blood. It would sound amazing with Farida's vocals.
Excellent song
it reminds me dark tranquillity from the projector era....
Love this song
Great So Far ♥
Great band in live too!! Love in bataclan !!
Hell yeah awesome vibe
Melhor música do álbum.
Excelente
Too short!
entropede I totally agree! When the song finished I felt like it was half way through.
I agree!
The album is too short! I wouldn't be surprised if they release "Down Below, Even Deeper" later this year.
come tour America please
This Song is so Dope and cool 😎 Rock and Roll 🎸 Baby
this album is going to be incredible
Please guys, play your latest tracks live!
nice

Real My love song
I love this so so so so fucking much
Amorphis did it almost 20 years ago in Tuonela and Am Universum. Not original, but I'm glad I can hear something similar nowdays, I like both albuns until now.
Fernando Reich yep. They Shure did but this sounds good and ,dare I say, better that amorphous newer shit
If the Cure went metal
Please some one put the letter
🤟🏼🇧🇷

That album is a shameless ripoff and Cloak should feel bad.
I'd rather have a shameless ripoff than this shit. Tribulation should feel bad for letting someone else do their sound better than they can anymore.
Tribulation is letting them? Sure. That makes perfect sense. Nah, that Cloak album is bad. Amorphis already did this.
When ? Where ?
Зашибись
really miss the sound of Formulas, so far it sounds more like Depeche mode with growls
no more trip, now only songs to listen
i want to like it but i dont wanna ruin the 666
Soon the prince of peace will Crush satan under his feet !!
Great tribulation for those left behind !!
...musically captivating, vocally forgettable.
For me it's the combination that actually makes it quite captivating.
I wouldn't listen to them anymore if they had cheesy clean vocals
Is this really Tribulation??? They're ruined :/
Very bland and boring. Compared to the Tracks on the last Album this one is trash.
Easy and mediocre song . Hope is the only one on the album. The Lament and Lady Death are way better. Unfortunately they start to remind me of another band which took the easier path and died in mediocrity: Cemetary.
