As a kid I found a German Shepard puppy in the gutter. He received absolutely no training but always knew exactly how to behave in ALL circumstances. We thought he was a hopeless guard dog as he tolerated anything. One day walking alone with him I was suddenly surrounded by a gang of bikies encircling me. I have never seen such a ferocious animal, he routed them in seconds. Next day the young kids were dragging him around backwards by the tail as usual and he was loving it.

My gsd is one I grew up with, and I already know the hole that will be left in my heart when its time for him to go will be irreversible. Much love to you ❤
As an owner of a German Shepard, if you're ever thinking of getting one please be aware that they take a lot of time and energy. They are clever and lovely, really protective of the family especially the children and the home, but they need lots of exercise just to keep them tame and keep you sane!...ours is a barker...anyone coming anywhere near our home he's at the window letting them know he sees them...xx
Had my just now 9 week for about 9 days, was ready to give him back a few days ago I was so tired, but, you have to realize they are very, very, very mouthy and bitey when young, you simply have to keep toys and chews in the way of their mouths, and try, try hard not to discipline them for it because that’s how they explore the world. Of course try to keep the skin breaks to a minimum. Watch the British older guy for training help, or Tom Davis at Canine Upstate academy, or rather Upstate etc.. @@dayeeoliver
I also have a 100% certified GSD named Lando. He's 110lbs and looks scary as hell. I had always hoped I'd have the guard dog with the protective tendencies, a dog I can swim the ocean with, and high energy. Lando hates the water and can't swim. I had always thought swimming was a natural thing they just know. Nope. His stuffed unicorn was in my walking path and I kicked it out of the way and it flopped into the pool. He jumped in to save it and sunk like a stone; just a mess of flailing paws and bubbles. I ruined a suit diving in to get him. If it rains he won't go out because his feet get wet unless he's wearing his socks. He'll play fetch for 1 to 3 throws and wants to go back inside to watch Paw Patrol. My nephews watched it and cuddled him as a puppy and all he has to hear is, "aye aye Rider sir!" and he runs from the other side of the house and is glued to the TV. He's the biggest baby and is scared to death of small dogs like Chihuahuas or cats. He tries to act big and chased a chipmunk who bravely fought back causing Lando to run screaming knocking my laughing ass over in my garden chair. Remember the old Thomas and Jerry episodes where the lady would be screaming on the chair, "Thomas! Thomas!!". Yeah, thats him. He loves all strangers and would probably show a robber where I keep my money after giving him tons of kisses. So I think it's just the luck of the draw. 99.99% of GSDs are like yours but, damn it if I didn't get the .001%. LOL Oh yeah, he doesn't bark... like ever. He doesn't like bunnies though. He's real adamant that those stay the hell away. Uhhhg... He's got a few videos on his channel if you're curious "Lando the German Shepherd".
@@llspragulus thanks for sharing your story! Although I knew dogs (and other animals in their way) have personalities, I never thought a GSD could be this much passive. Miss our beautiful GSD boy so much! Loyal and loving, protective of his family and all around an amazing companion. Had him for 7 years until illness sadly took him 💔. Seeing this video compilation brought back so many wonderful memories of his years with us.
Some german sheperds think they are actually people, I've had a few of them and I speak from experience, however the love bond is absolutely fantastic......after some years they become old, start suffering and then they are gone, that is the sad part of the story.
When my wife and I move to Colorado to live out our retirement years, we're thinking about getting a dog to help protect us when we go for walks. I'm thinking about getting a German Shepherd.
I had a 14-year-old Catahoula that I had to put down September last year from old age. The thought of going through that kind of pain again has kept me from getting another. He was a rescue and my best friend. Boy Blue.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope some day you might have GBR pleasure again of loving another great dog and having them love you back. It is hard to lose them, but the pain eases with time. Smartest most loyal animal one will ever have the pleasure to be part of their family. Growing up our dog never let me or my little sister out of his sight. If he somehow followed us to school by accident, I'd tell him to lay down across the street under a tree and 6 and a half hour's later he'd still be laying there wait for me to cross the street to walk home with me. Incredible friend. Still miss him greatly after 40yrs and 4 different breeds. The of dogs

German Shepherds make a great family dog. They do need a lot of attention and plenty of exercise so it's a commitment but a worthwhile one. If properly cared for they are a gentle giant that loves being around the family and other dogs, parents bred them for years and they loved playing with the kids. Everybody always commented when out for walks how gentle and patient they are even with young kids. Very intelligent too, can be trained to do almost anything with time and they love having a purpose and a job to do.

German Shepherds are the best. But what most people don’t realise (and I think this video does a good job t showing it) around their owners and people they trust they can be sooooo GOOFY 🤣
I had a German shepherd 89-00 her name was Daisy and she was with me 24/7 she could go trough hell for me,she wasn’t afraid for anything but the claw clippers, Only time I cried was when she was put to sleep for eternity
Me too, my girl saved my life & helped me do Everything. I have a hard time without her. She was soooo intelligent & knew lots & lots of words. We could just look at each other & know what one another was thinking.
Daisy saved my life one time, i was in a bad neighborhood late… and when i was walking home i took a shortcut in a dark area, suddenly 15-20 skinheads walking round a corner and i was thinking this is the end🤯 my dog senses my fear and start growling very low, and the skinheads lined up in a row and just passed quietly….
I’m sorry for your loss. I’ve been there a few times myself for my Shepherds and it’s always rough. You’ll always remember Daisy but the pain will eventually fade away.

the german sheperd exprience is really something else. Life did not give me the chance to get one as an adult yet but I will be eternally grateful to have experienced it in my childhood
Anyone who has ever had Shepherd’s will love this video. They are fun dogs and Super intelligent.Very loyal to their family.Enjoyed watching this reminded me of our boys over the years. Some of ours worked for the police dept.with my husband. They were as silly as can be when off duty but knew when it was time to be serious.Loved watching
Clip 2 is how a GSD drinks water. I have a working line black gsd. I have to take some time out of my job every single day just to make sure he has water. The rest of the time he'll be bitting and nippin me if i'm not training him or taking a walk
I worked in the pest control business once upon a time. Thinking for sure this GS was wanting to attack me or nip at me, I was finally encouraged to put the insect duster down plus whatever sharp tool I had in my hand. The dog immediately stands down but then runs off with both just for the fun of it apparently.
All the doggos in the world are innocent and good and will always have your back and they will always be there for you unconditionally.Who else can do that.!!! The best animals we humans have ever encountered.
On my third GS and probably last due to age, fantastic dogs. Great natural comics and they know they’re doing it as well. They like to make us laugh and have fun.
I thought Labs were silly but I guess every breed will perform if they think they're entertaining you. The funny part is when they do something goofy they'll look back at you for a sign of approval.

lOVE ME A GERMAN SHEPHERD
German Shepherds are the best. But what most people don’t realise (and I think this video does a good job t showing it) around their owners and people they trust they can be sooooo GOOFY 🤣
I had a German shepherd 89-00 her name was Daisy and she was with me 24/7 she could go trough hell for me,she wasn’t afraid for anything but the claw clippers,
Only time I cried was when she was put to sleep for eternity
All dog German Shepherd dog they are the best ones
I'm surprised the one sitting on the couch didn't ask anyone if they wanted some grey poupon.
I Upper Crust British Accent: "Pardon Me, do you have any Grey Poupon?" 🤣🤣🤣 He only needs A Rolls Royce to pull off the whole look. 😂
I have had GS all my life my last one died last year at 17!!!!! She was awesome - I think I will have another in the next year as they are undoubtedly the best dogs ❤️❤️❤️❤️
the german sheperd exprience is really something else. Life did not give me the chance to get one as an adult yet but I will be eternally grateful to have experienced it in my childhood
My boy tango is literally the most fearless dog ever…except when he sees a bee. 😂
Spicy Sky Raisin! It's a good thing he's afraid of them. Some dogs aren't.
3:45 I have a german shepherd and this is what he does when I am forcing him to cuddle me when he just wants to play xD
The head tilt things gets me its so funny
1:05 "Wasn't me! I'm behind the gate! How could I possibly have done this?"
@1:07 ; “You said we were going to the park at 10am ! I’m done waiting for your lazy ass ! “
my Shepherd is starting to scratch my monitor, while I am watching , are they really a bit insane LMAO 😂😂😂
What a beautiful compilation I really enjoyed it
Thanks so much for sharing 🥇👋!
My German Shepherd was the best, and I cry to this day. Maggie Mae did everything that I saw in the videos. Thanks for sharing.😢😢😢😅😅😊😊😊
Dogs like these need lots of love 💗
I thought Labs were silly but I guess every breed will perform if they think they're entertaining you. The funny part is when they do something goofy they'll look back at you for a sign of approval.
