Thank you for posting this!! Its just as important to point out companies doing the right thing also and Academy has not raised their prices at all!! That is probably why they have been out of stock the past few weeks but I just found some 9mm ammo on their site thanks to you! And thank you to Academy for keeping your prices the same while it seems most others have raised prices at least 50%!!
Hey ZombieBunker. I like Academy for that very reason. Everyone else went to price-gouging almost immediately and Academy stayed pretty consistent with their old prices. The limit of 5 keeps the hoarders in check too, I reckon. Of course, I don't know anyone who has tried to buy 5 of something, then turn around and make a back to back purchase to see if it would be allowed. I'm like you on that one. No need to be greedy, just be reasonable and save some for the next guy. Take care, brother.
Forgot to mention, I read your description, so I checked. Academy has that 500 count like you bought listed at $94.99 (19 cents per round). They have a flat rate of $5. shipping on all ammo plus the your local sales tax. For me, that would have come to $106.74 if I had bought it direct from Academy. Have a nice evening.
Update - As of sometime last week, the flat rate shipping has changed to $8. As of today, 4/30/2020, the .223 and 5.56x45 has gone up 2.5 to 5 cents per round. I guess Academy is catching on. Still not what I would call price-gouging, but the deals are not quite as good as they were. I've been checking daily to every 2 days on the 9mm 500 rounds in this video and it has been out of stock since the day after my post above this one.
