About 1995 I was the director for a summer day camp. One of our field trips was to Knotts. It was a hot day and I had my group of about 10 kids. We were going on the Dinosaur ride. It was a great ride for a hot day. Not exciting at all but dark and cool and you can sit. As we were boarding the ride operator asked if I was with the kids. When I said yes, he put all the kids on the ride and then ran an empty car and then boarded me all by myself. It was just the break I needed. I really appreciated him going above and beyond.
Hello PPP, I recently had surgery, so it wiped out my vacation savings, but I gladly watch your videos and travel vicariously through you guys! I love this channel, youve helped me through my recovery! Thank you.
I agree all the way and second your comment! :) It makes my day too and especially during these tough times it really feels like a bright light of joy. Thank you Chris and Amanda! :) + Kate for your comment too. :)
Couldn't find a better BEST BUD to enjoy the park for the 1st time with. Love Jimmy's expression after riding Ghost Rider + tasting Boysenberry drink! I was a little kid riding Calico. I'd gotten eyeglasses earlier that year. The were all fogged UP when we exited the mine. My cousin thought it was funny. Knott's has a lot of hidden gems + tons of history + great merch and food. The bottle house is truly fascinating. Great video GUYS!
Hi Chris and Jimmy, great vlog as always Chris. Loved Jimmy's reaction and comments about the Ghost Rider, it is a monster, and it is for me, my favorite rollercoaster. I've been going to Knotts since I was a kid in the sixties, love Knotts, it's my second favorite theme park behind Disneyland.
Love Knotts Berry Farm! Just before you walked down the Lane to Sad Eye Joe the counter to write down the names will be on your right, still surprising friends and family! I do miss all the amazing museums they had there back in the day.
It's been years since I have been to Knott's Berry Farm. Great to see it's still an awesome place to go and have fun with the family. 👍 Thanks for the video. You two are a great team!
For sad eyed joe: there’s still a place to give information to the guy behind the microphone. It’s the small window to the right of the staircase that had the “knot” message.
Great job Chris and Jimmy! I haven't been to Knott's Berry Farm in quite a while and it looks like it hasn't changed that much. Sad Eyed Joe was really cool to see, my favorite part of visiting Knott's Berry Farm. The history behind this park is something else. Keep up the amazing work!!
Watching and riding with a friend their first time, and getting to experience their excitement and thrill their first time is as good as the ride. Glad Jimmy had a good time.
Thank you Chris and Jimmy for coming to knotts berry farm hope you had a lot of fun on this day see you around Chris I really enjoy your channel and all its content please do more knotts content when you can would like to meet you someday
Knott's is so underrated. Being about 15 miles from Disneyland, out of state vacationers pass on a visit. Knott's Berry Farm offers all day fun for all ages. Comfort rides, and a western theme great for the over 50 ish people. Fast rides for the young at heart. A year pass is less than a one day entry to D-land, and food prices much more family friendly. Camp Snoopy, an under 12 age ride area is great with plenty of seating for us old folks watching the kids, or grand kids as they ride. Sure, its not as spectacular as D-land, we all get that, but if you have the time, or have a budget concern, give a thought to Knott's.
By chance is this guy on the simple green commercials? I subscribed to simple green when I couldn’t figure out how to dilute it and I could swear this is the guy in those commercials
Thank you for showing Knotts Berry Farm. Last time I was there was in 1989. I want to go back. My husband- James LeFebvre- worked there back in the '90s.
Thank you so much for the tips and everything you offer I just started watching you and also thank you for the encouragement you give everyone, I am enjoying your videos keep up the good work you are doing you are special God bless you always
Growing up in So Cal, our family would go to Knotts the most and Disney once a year because my Aunt worked for Disney and could get us in. I LOVE Knotts and the ghost town is real ghost town buildings bought and brought onto the farm for attractions. We always ate at Mrs Knott’s Chicken Dinner. It’s such a lovely day!
I took my family to Knott's for the first time in 2021 and they had so much fun! We went again in 2022 and had even more fun! The park is quite amazing and unique.
4:19 Isn't This Window that you are walking toward here the spot where you give the Sad Eye Joe "barker" your personal info? As a parent, you sent the kids in line to see him, and then went to the corner window and gave him your kids' names, pet names, city you came from, etc. It was so wild the first time as a kid you heard him talking about your personal information.
The last time I went to Knots Berry was in 1981…what! Nice to see it again.. We’ve been to California many many time( I’m originally from there).. When we go back we do other things Universal,Disney,San Fran…etc…Soon the grandchildren will be going with us and there parents….. Great video…..brought back so many happy memories…👍🇬🇧
I haven't been since I was a kid SMH.... So excited to go on spring break 🤗 Also ty for your videos!!! My kids and I watch them all the time :) They literally know your whole family by name!!! 🥰
Great video! Mr. Provost, you are a good man. Keep going. I like Knots berry farm a lot. Many good memories from there. For me, starting back in the early 60s. Not sure how it is now, but I remember an increasing presence of gang activity from the seventies to 80s and 90s, I think it was due to lack of security, Disneylands security was much better, through the years I have heard of many problems there, plus a neighborhood kid that I knew was stabbed and died there, he was a good kid, in the wrong place at the wrong time. Hopefully they have cleaned up their act. Sorry, don't mean to be a downer, but that's how it was. Other than that, Knots was a lot of fun to go to.
Just went to Knott’s with my hubby last weekend! Ghost Rider, Log Ride and Montezuma’s Revenge were all closed 😭 But we left with season passes, so we have plenty of chances to come back when they’re open!
This was my first log ride and I totally forgot until watching this. I went on this before ever going on splash mountain and it started my love for log rides.
I love your channel ❤️ and you guys , definitely my favorite you tuber, I hope that someday I get to meet you guys im at WDW for my very first trip in April doing the 10k run disney 😊, and next year October Disneyland hopefully I'll see you one of those trips 🤞❤️
We haven't been there in over 40 years. :-) But my husband used to go there when he was a boy, and we went many times when we lived in SoCal. :-) Maybe we'll extend our Disneyland trip a day and go over to Knott's. :-)
My family and I were in California last July for a convention my wife was attending. My daughter and I went to Knott's during our time there. First time for us. We had fun, but I wouldn't be in a hurry to go back. If I'm in that area, I'd much rather go to Disney. After watching more videos though, I know that we missed a lot of the park.
I do miss when boot hill didn't have a roller coaster so close to it. But I'm also glad they figured out a way to build a rollercoaster there AND keep everything around it the same. EDIT: Dang 11:56 got me. You're a good egg. Thank you.
Always enjoy when you go to Knottsberry Farm such an awesome park definitelya bucket list park I'd like to visit 1 day. Have you ever considered checking out any of the other Cedar Fair Parks like on the east coast?
Love all your videos🥰♥️. I never see you guys go on Hangtime or Xcelerator. Have you been on those? I’m 61 and went on those! So much FUN. Xcelerator was scary though. Ready to go back 😂. Take care.Keep having fun! Looking forward to next video❤
Howzit PPP! Kinda weird question, but how long ago was this video shot? According to Knott's website Ghost Rider is closed at this time. Can anyone confirm or deny this. I'm going in May, but if Ghost Rider is closed we may just skip Knott's altogether.
My family were family friends with the knott family Walter and Cordelia so in October 22 we took my mom there for her 95th birthday. She even rode the mine ride. Walter Knott was close to Walt Disney so Disney asked to steal a few ride ideas so yeah Disney big thunder was first. When I was 7 I got a huge gold nugget and I guy bought it from my dad for 200.00 back in 1970 and that was a lot of money
Knott’s Berry Tale has really bad reliability. It almost always shuts down on a busy day and some unbusy days. Anyways, they only serve the fun bun on Boysenberry Festival. That’s disappointing since you can’t get it on other days. It’s a fried cinnamon bun with boysenberry jam.

Knotsberry tales is what I remember most from my childhood there at Knotts. Awesome ride!!
Thanks so much for bringing me, Chris! It was a fun day!
Love when you two are together. So happy to see you guys loving Knotts
I'm glad you loved it..Jimmy. I was there last weekend...I;ve been there many times!
Prospector voice - nailed it!
@@Sam-02024 Thank you!
@@SteveCarras Appreciate it, Steve! Thanks for watching!
Hello PPP, I recently had surgery, so it wiped out my vacation savings, but I gladly watch your videos and travel vicariously through you guys! I love this channel, youve helped me through my recovery! Thank you.

Thank you for the positive and kind things you say to people in your videos. They matter and I really appreciate what you do. 😊
I agree all the way and second your comment! :) It makes my day too and especially during these tough times it really feels like a bright light of joy. Thank you Chris and Amanda! :) + Kate for your comment too. :)
I like your pep talks. It is always appreciated
I haven't been since about 98'😅 But I'm planning a trip this year. I love your encouraging words!
Which both does and doesn't feel like along time ago.

Thank you, Chris!!! This brought back tons of memories from the late 50's and 60's. Oh, the stories!
12:20 I love this. Thank you!
Once as a kid, my cousins, sister and I went on the log ride 13 times in one day. We talked about it for years. Love that ride.
What a fantastic memory. 💙💚
My cousin's and I have a similar memory except it was on the rapids it was like 4-5 times but it was such a a fun memory
Thank you for sharing Knott’s Berry Farm ! We really enjoyed your video 😊🙏🏻

Always wondered what this park was like! Thanks for posting! Looks fun!!😍🎢 The Calico Mine Train looks AMAZING!!
Calico was very neat!
Thanks for watching and for the kind words!
As a child I thought it amazing that he knew my name!
Omg man!😂😂😂 Jimmy's face at 7:28 while Chris is talking!
Chris, I love watching your videos of the parks and all the fun. Most importantly, your friendly affirmations fill my heart with joy.
Watching and riding with a friend their first time, and getting to experience their excitement and thrill their first time is as good as the ride. Glad Jimmy had a good time.
Taking my daughter for her first visit at the end of the month! So stoked and kind of shocked more don’t mention Knotts!
That was nice , you saying those nice things to everyone.
xoxo

Sad eye Joe always called me Red since I was a tiny boy because I have red hair. Always so kind to me, I love talking with him
I try to not let life get me down but it's tough ty for your cool videos
One of my favorite parks! I'm a little biased cause I used to work there and have tons of memories!
I took my family to Knott's for the first time in 2021 and they had so much fun! We went again in 2022 and had even more fun! The park is quite amazing and unique.
Chris!! More Knotts Berry Farm love please. All is welcome, no rezzies required, lots of history! Secrets of please! ❤️♥️❤️
Yay!!! Love Knott’s! Jimmy! First time?? So glad Chris took you!
I'm grateful he did! Thanks for watching!
Love Knott's! Hope you come back for Boysenberry Festival on March 10th
It’d be fun to be Jimmy and have Chris show me around Knotts Berry Farm for the very first time.
Love these videos where you show someone that is enthusiastic around a park that is new to them. How about a Shanghai Disney cross over next?
4:19 Isn't This Window that you are walking toward here the spot where you give the Sad Eye Joe "barker" your personal info? First Time?!?!? Knotts is overlooked and slept on by everyone but my entire family LOVES this park (especially the chicken restaurant!)
Glad to have experienced it!
Kntts Berry Farm Snoopy Love my favorite one fan Big 🍇💖💖💖🎶
When I asked my kids what they would change about our recent trip, they said they'd reverse it and spend 3 days at Knotts and 1 at Disneyland
Fun video! I’m just gonna say it: Jimmy is cute, cute, CUTE! 😎
The last time I went to Knots Berry was in 1981…what!

I've never been there either. Almost like Tweetsie Railroad up here
It was great to watch the video
Just went to Knott’s with my hubby last weekend! Ghost Rider, Log Ride and Montezuma’s Revenge were all closed 😭 But we left with season passes, so we have plenty of chances to come back when they’re open!
Thank you for the upload
This was my first log ride and I totally forgot until watching this. I went on this before ever going on splash mountain and it started my love for log rides.
Jimmy should come back for Knott's Scary Farm.
Ooooh! That would be fun!
My husband worked there in the '90s, he loved it during Halloween!!
Awesome, love it, our two favorite RUclipsrs together again. So exciting. You guys our great together. Thank you. We cannot wait to go back to Knotts.
Thanks! Love you guys!

I haven't been there in quite a long time. Enjoyed this video. Did you guys also ride Montezooma's Revenge?
Love this! 💚
Jimmy got on roller coasters??? 😱 lol Chris now you have to take him to Magic Mountain because he’s never been there neither.
I do coasters from time to time. Hahaha good to see you here, Crystal!
That area was originally part of market place in 80s and some of the 90s.
I do miss when boot hill didn't have a roller coaster so close to it. But I'm also glad they figured out a way to build a rollercoaster there AND keep everything around it the same.
EDIT: Dang 11:56 got me. You're a good egg. Thank you.
Love the message at the end ❤
No way! I just missed you! I'm going tomorrow!
Sooo good love the video! 😊
There now in one of the old smack
Shops. Between the big train 🚆 and the horse and carriage
Knotts is a blast but the lines were soooo long when we went. That was my main issue but I loved the thrill rides more than anything.
Cold and rainy you must be in disneyland paris.
Are there express passes that you can buy like at Disney?
Do they still have the grist mill in the Calico town area?
Always enjoy when you go to Knottsberry Farm such an awesome park definitelya bucket list park I'd like to visit 1 day. Have you ever considered checking out any of the other Cedar Fair Parks like on the east coast?
Love all your videos🥰♥️. I never see you guys go on Hangtime or Xcelerator. Have you been on those? I’m 61 and went on those! So much FUN. Xcelerator was scary though. Ready to go back 😂. Take care.Keep having fun! Looking forward to next video❤
The river raft ride is great too
The kid came out of Chris lolol what a fun day you had ...
I still remember Sad Eyed Joe telling us he shared a jail cell with my dad.
Howzit PPP! Kinda weird question, but how long ago was this video shot?
According to Knott's website Ghost Rider is closed at this time. Can anyone confirm or deny this.
I'm going in May, but if Ghost Rider is closed we may just skip Knott's altogether.
Big Thunder Mountain opened first❤
I'm a big wiener when it comes to high rides - I was able to do the Incredicoaster - which rides would you suggest I could "handle" at Knotts?
The voice on the Calico ride is different . It’s been over 20 years since I’ve been at knotts
You’re an awesome 😎 RUclips channel.
FUN,FUN,FUN!
Still one of my favorite parks… though it is not as fun as it used to be… I miss the soapbox racers.
I had no idea so much of the O.G. stuff was still there! I need to take my Family!!!
My first time there I was so scared of that train ride with those creepy “animatronics“ 🤣
I almost flew out of ghost rider as a kid but a guy behind me grabbed me and held me down for the rest of the ride!
Fun video!
I've never been there and did not realize they opened before Disney! It does seem like Disney really ripped off Thunder mountain from them lol.
Big Thunder opened September 2, 1979 and GhostRider opened December 8, 1998
Cuties 💕
We need an onride POV of Chris riding X2 at magic mountain
