FOX FITTINGS Hot Tapping - Saddle 400/225, Nawiercanie pod ciśnieniem- Siodło 400/225

FOX FIITTINGS offers its customers electrofusion branch saddles with big size outlets, together with drilling equipment produced also by FOX. Video shows the connection of the existing pipeline 400 mm to a new pipeline 225 mm - the works were done on working pipeline under pressure in Tychy (Poland).
FOX FITTINGS oferuje swoim klientom siodła elektrooporowe z odejściami w dużych średnicach, oraz urządzenie do nawiercania pod ciśnieniem również produkowane przez firmę FOX FITTINGS. Film pokazuje podłączenie nowego rurociągu o średnicy 225 mm, do istniejącego rurociągu o średnicy 400mm. Prace zostały wykonane w Tychach, na zlecenie RPWiK Tychy S.A.

Hot Tap Procedures:
1. A hot tap saddle or weld nozzle installed, valve installed, assembly is pressure tested and hot tap machine attached.
2. Valve opened, hot tap completed, coupon or cut portion retained by latches on pilot drill. Pressure is contained within the hot tapping machine.
3. Cutter and coupon retracted and valve closed. Fluid is drained and hot tapping machine is removed. The tapped valve is now ready for the contractor’s tie-in or IFT’s linestop/stopple equipment to be inserted.

what kind of weld material is used. I am assuming that liquid they wipe the pieces with, correct? I just can't believe that with that pressure a liquid well is more than enough.

Main line 400mm dia is polyurethane so easy to work. If its Cast iron/Steel then ? How you will do then same job?

Nearly the same but not so fast. Shut off Main, Let it Empty out, Cut Main, Insert T+adapters, fill Main

Pretty much same. In finland we have these drilling bands to put on the pipe and the just drill the hole same way as they did
