i love Daniel , he's such an unpredictable guitarists but at the same such an a melodic one , thats what i love and that talent that just obviously you cant hear 😍🥰
You guys are coming to my hometown Greensboro NC with As I Lay Dying and Currents on March 26th, 2019. I've never heard of you guys before but I'm already a fan after hearing this and every song of yours I found on RUclips. This album BETTER be in the merch section because I NEED it
Also ya know, I gotta say, I've seen these guys live, Dan walked by me with this shitty not now dude look,... all I did was smile as he walked by, he must have thought I wanted a handshake or something, lol. I've never reached out to any dude in a band except Nick Hippa and he gave me a fist bump and smiled, (one cool cat right there) anyway Dan must have been pissed at something, I knew he was not in the best of moods for some reason, and I absolutely love his playing and know he's a good dude. I honestly don't think they get the honor they deserve, they always sound better that the openers. So... when I saw this I was blown away thinking about how good some dude is to be covering this, (I know ima lame) then today I'm like, what the heck, this is Dan! And once again no wonder I don't see anyone else covering this, look at that stretch and yet so clean.
I went to small venue in Tucson, AZ one time, for an ABR concert, and Fit for a King was one of the openers, who Dan plays in (guessing you already know though). Either way, I was there early looking for how to get into the venue and walked into the side room, merch area. Dan was sitting on a couch in there and I went up and asked him if he knew where the VIP entrance was. He just responded along the lines of "nah man, I don't know, I'm just playing tonight" so I said thanks and walked out. I had no idea who he was at the time lol, but it later clicked when I saw him on stage. So yeah, long story short, I think you must've ran into him at a bad time, since he was super chill with me just talking to him.
@@gagestorto5305 cool story! Yeah, he was not in a good mood when I saw him. He seemed very agitated. I know he's a great guy though and one of my al time favorite guitarist.
For some reson i enjoy the background guitar more during the solo. Im not sure what its called. The one soloing is lead, is the other just backup guitar?
The whole song is in drop C. On the last breakdown he is doing a reverse powerchord shape which sounds a lot like drop G but it’s still in the tuning of drop C.
I know. I played it. haha The breakdowns were recorded on a guitar in Drop G though as well as the bass. You are correct about that chord though and that is the way I’ve been playing it live. Bryce has to use a Droptune pedal for the low G.
Well at least the solos sound good but imo the breakdowns are their worst right now. That honestly hurts for me to say. Perhaps that's the direction they wanted in their sound but to me it just sounds flat and boring. The breakdown doesn't fit Sean's amazing vocal performance.
Clearly the breakdown at the end was written with a live crowd in mind, the buildup is just perfect for a crowd to get wild and rough until the break hits! Flat and boring might be a production lack, though. Usually bands add some samples, choires, orchesters, etc... beneath the breakdowns to give them some depths, but they didn't. Everything points to a live setting IMO.
I agree with the breakdown being flat and a little out of place. Other then that though, I really dig the riffs and vocals. Just glad to see this band active again.
Underrated guitarist. This dude is incredible
Joseph Bastidas no he is not. He is rated by us bro. With the highest rate possible. So magical melody, Adam D will be proud to write one like this
Phinehas is so underrated. To me they are simply the best in the scene. And oh the old albums are straight up fire too. Acoustic shit as well.
Dzimka Bujiashvili agreed. We need to do something to promote them.
@@elijahmthompson2313 Cant get enough!! Very august burns red and as I lay dying plus
This band deserves way more attention. I have listened almost every day for like 4 years 😅
i love Daniel , he's such an unpredictable guitarists but at the same such an a melodic one , thats what i love and that talent that just obviously you cant hear 😍🥰
That solo. Mind blown.
And that's an automatic add to the sacred favorites playlist.
Really good. Extremely good production value. Kind of just nailed it.
One of my favorite guitarist
Holy cow the guitar work on this song is insane!
I admire dan since becoming the archetype and he is even better now. another song for me to hear and not even try to play along
lol, I didn't even know he was in BTA. I love BTA, especially the old stuff! On which albums did he play?
Wow, no wonder they are so good. I begged BTA to come to Oregon, they came and I saw. They sounded just like the CD so perfect.
Robin Koster he was on their last two albums
Chris's Coffee Break Thanks, I must say that I like his work in Phinehas a lot more, he has definitely improved his playing!
@@robinrocks who is BTA? Im a little late to the party as always lol
I can watch you cover phinehas all good. Great cover God Bless!
Well he's the actual guitarist... It's not a cover, it's a playthrough
Am I the only one who really liked that ending breakdown?
i loved it , i think everyone is listening out of tin cans because it sounds fine to me
Love it too
This is by far the best I've ever seen someone play a guitar. i mean it.
Should be no surprise that this is my favorite song by the guys :)
Modern metalcore + guitar solos = perfect
Pre-ordered just now on itunes after listening to the shred solos 😀 Got even two singles already, JACKPOT!
I literally adore this so much.
My go to song =] Wish I could learn this one :P
Goodness gracious that was amazing

People only vote this down because they can't play it
agree
This band is sounds ok to play but it is actually pretty hard! i like it !
Well,this is art!
Fast, precise, and efficient playing! Daniel is an excellent ShredLord!
Daaaanng bro. That's some serious skill right there.
i first pressed the like button and then i play.
tight like the first night
Dem growls...

@@elijahmthompson2313 pfftt... thems fingers like spider legs. That's a gift, or not natural. Lol.
Amazing solo
SICK video. SICK song. Keep it up!!
Beautiful
Those solos were some straight out of anime shit
Perfection
love that, i feel soul
So metal!
Dark Flag, please.
If all Metalcore head, guitar solos!
God bless heal and forgive you

That so Great!!!
We need tabs... or extra time to rip it
👀👀🔥🔥🔥
Daniel is one the few
tell me how i get ads for guitar center on this video? shits crazy how google uses your search history to tailor advertisements to you. creepy.
👏👏👏👏
You guys gonna release tab books?
My fav. song....well written guitar parts. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
tuning ???is it C ??? or at least a tab ??? 😂
Yup drop C!
Most of it is Drop C. The chorus breakdowns and last breakdown is in Drop G. 🤘🏻

Daniel Gailey my gosh I’m so sorry dude! My mistake.
Coup de grace
🌋🌋🌋🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
DR. PEPPER!
Hello!!! Drop?????
You'll never see anyone covering this song because it's just too easy.
what is the guitar model?
I need new tabs by U guys :'(, please.
Helo
Great song, great guitarist, but that ending breakdown, what was that? Talk about going out on a low note.
Yeah for real. That sounds like one of those places with terrible mixing but would sound awesome live.
amazingmato Yeah I'm sure it gets away with it live, but man is it weak compared to everything else in terms of the mixing/recording.
Yeah, pretty surprising/disappointing
Too much for my brain 🧠!
Is this in drop C?
Yes dude, but the final breakdown turns on Drop B or G I guess
Блин, парни, я вас просто обожаю!!!
I wish I could play as good as him.... I ask this through Christ our lord!!
Think he likes Dr. Pepper?
playthroughs should be focused on the instrument. It would have been nice if it was the actual guitar recording, at least without the vocals
Well at least the solos sound good but imo the breakdowns are their worst right now. That honestly hurts for me to say. Perhaps that's the direction they wanted in their sound but to me it just sounds flat and boring. The breakdown doesn't fit Sean's amazing vocal performance.

GTXWarrior I'm glad they're active, too. One of my all time favorites
Mind. Art. Creativity. Maybe, there is footage of this song live and it overall sounds good
Yea, the breakdown at the end was absolutely terrible.
That breakdown was pathetic..... that solo though was pretty sick though. I'm sure there will be some good breakdowns on the rest of the album though
I thought the breakdown was pretty gnarly. Alot of people dont seem to like it but it has a good sound
Where's Ferb?
It's easy to sound this good when you have a $2,000 Axe-FX and a Legator guitar sponsorship.
I bet you he is either using Mesa or ENGL for a Cabinet.
followfornothing it’s literally podfarm. haha
What effects/amp model are you using? Sounds deadly.
Werd
Great guitar work, vocals are a little anti-climatic, and the lyrics are too predictable. Still a solid song though
