I always rode dual sport bikes. I'm 60 and my rough off road days are behind me, so I bought a G310GS. I'll never do what was shown in this video but it's great to see someone else do this with a baby GS... with stock alloy rims and no crash bars!
I was about to say the same, what an excellent rider this is. Just shows any bike is great with a great rider. Rode that baby gs like it was a dirt bike. and NO crash bars lol.
@@TheGridMedia what skills is needed to ride like this? Throttle pressing skills? Ballance holding skills? Genuine question in order to understand why is this some kind of skills, rather just some balls (you can fall etc)
@@basedpatriotLT riding a 350lb+ bike on single track is near impossible for most riders. It’s not a dirt bike. Like you said, throttle, clutch, and balance need to be more practiced than what most people are willing to do. Not to mention all the skills to launch it off kickers or hill climbs. That’s a good rider in the video.
I just bought the baby GS as my first bike and started learning off road riding (with a rental dirt bike). Great to see that it can be pushed this far in the hands of an experienced rider ✌️
Steering with the rear rather than with the bars, knowing how to ride the bike with a loose back end, how to break it loose intentionally to steer, how to weight the pegs to move weight forward or back, when to weight the front tyre and when to weight the back, leaning the bike, for the most part, instead of leaning off the bike like a road rider would, how to keep momentum in deep sand, knowing when not to put your feet down and when to, how to pick a good line, when to hold throttle and when to back off. @@basedpatriotLT
Finally Someone with skills to match the bike ! That is some serious hardcore single track ! I bet you needed a massage and a chiropractor when you finished that ride with a nice cold beer !!

i´m surprised how all those plastic parts survived, when you felt down with the bmw gs 310 every part broke with the minimum felt. even the handle twist very easy.

thats so cool to see a korean ahjuma dirt bike riding. Im korean american, so you never see korean people do much of this or even ride motorcycles much.
these are the stock tyres or you changed? Im looking for a 300-400cc bike to do on road and off road, but crossover bikes are not really good off roading so much, and some bikes are not reliable to big trips. I thought about this bike but I wanted to see it off road. Thank you for the video. It helps.

What is the skill there? Throttle pushing skill, ballance holding skill etc? Why would average skilled rider could ot do that (provided he is not afraid to fall etc)?
@@basedpatriotLT Have you ever tried this without being exhausted after 3 minutes? This is some serious physical action, including coordination, pushing skills, balance and holding, as you mentioned. The difference to your statement is, that it takes years to develop the coordination of the skills.
тут скорее речь о реальности, а не комфорте. На тяжёлых гусях попросту нереально, да и в этом классе мало на чём будет комфортнее. Даже КТМ250-390 адвенчуры сами же индусы писюнами обложили, сказав, что те сильно уступают в оффроадных качествах 310му гусю, как ни забавно.
Ты сам то пробовал на нём эндурить или диванную аналитику ведёшь? Пока что гусёк меня завёс во все дебри, в которые я хотел попасть. И обратно тоже вывез.
Я на нем 19 тыс за полтора сезона откатал, Алтайские горы, Башкирия, Урал. Купал в реках доставал из грязи. Я уверен что это хороший мот, но тяжеловато для чистого эндуро.
