    • @TheTruthIsGonnaHurt
      @TheTruthIsGonnaHurt 10 месяцев назад +1

      I am not sure it was only the Cosmic Force, but the Living Force as well. The Force, is comprised of the Unifying, Living, and Cosmic. Ie. Mind, Body, Soul.
      The Living Force deals with the connection between organics and the midicholorians. Healing of organics tissue is what Darth Plaguesis focused his attentions towards. Manipulation of the Living Force to stop others from dying.
      But yes, Kanan wanted to see Hera and that was felt through the Unifying Force, which in turn was granted by the Cosmic Force and made possible by the Living Force to heal his eyesight in that moment.

  • @db4552
    @db4552 11 месяцев назад +8

    Kanan struggled his whole life with feelings of inadequacy, of never being good enough, of trying and often failing to find his own path, of being chased continuously by demons, of struggling to raise and protect his (son), of never being able to share his feelings with the love of his life, then at the last moment when they finally get to hear those three little words out loud and understand that all his fears and uncertainties are gone and they can just be there in that moment together, he chooses to sacrifice his life in a single split-second decision to save all that he loves and is rewarded by being able to see her one last time. Somehow, in that moment, in that one final shared look, he finds peace. Because love is all we have. It's all we need. And that's what this scene is. I love Star Wars.

      That's because it was done by a director that actually cared about the characters that he created had George Lucas written Luke Skywalker's death it would have been vastly more personal and he would have made it far more special Dave filoni created that character grew that character developed and then gave him a significant death. Unfortunately the Star Wars trilogy that came at the end was a money grab made by a bunch of people who had no idea about the characters That's why even Mark Hamill said this is not Luke Skywalker but I'll do what you tell me to do. So Kathleen Kennedy cheated us out of quality story and the proper end of the Skywalker line because she didn't know the character or really care about the character only thing that you cared about was how much money she could bring in.

    Kanan is my favorite star wars character ever. His character arc is unlike any other. A jedi who had pretty much lost faith in the force, who decided to train a random kid, and through training this kid, regained his faith in the force, became a jedi knight, became a jedi once again to then lose his eye sight, and then as he starts to lose his faith again, he gains help from the bendu and becomes more of a jedi then ever before. Even without his sight, he is singlehandedly one of the most impressive jedis we have ever seen. And to top it all off, he had his life with hera in front of him, but sacrificed himself to save his family, the Phoenix Squadron, and live on through the force in the loath wolves. Truly an amazing character, and I hope for more to watch rebels and see what I see.

    This scene actually did break my heart. I couldn’t imagine losing the love of my life. She is my world, I would give bit of what I have.

    He had zero hesitation. Not an ounce of his body rejected the sacrifice. loyal and brave as a hound.

    This is the most noble and emotional death in all of Star Wars for me. Watching Kanan give his life for his family… I’m still crying. THIS is true Star Wars! Kanan has grown so much as a character, to the point it’s hard for us to let him go too. 💔

    Still makes me sad when I watch this. I know why he did it, but it doesn’t change the fact that he was one of my favourite characters. His sacrifice was needed to move the plot along and to make the finale happen, but it still hurts.

    I felt this more than any other death in Star Wars. They did a great job in selling the family component in Rebels. You really felt the build up to this and the emptiness after.

    Kanan accomplished more than most Jedi could ever dream of. Not only was he able to find true love with Hera and have a family with the crew, but his connection with the force was stronger and truer than any Jedi before him, since grey jedi understood that true balance is accepting both the light and the dark, the good and the bad. And that allowed him to be able to make the ultimate sacrifice.

    I'm 46 years old and man this scene hits me every time with tears and hope in the ASHOKA series they bring him back in a flash back or something, we need something because this was an epic ending but truly sad at the same time.

    Gah dam even Luke couldn’t have a death like this. 1 of the best moments in Star Wars. The music perfect too. Just imagine if it was Luke on the big screen and 2 generations who grew up watching the prequel and originals would’ve been crying and remember that moment forever. But no we got a meaningless ABRACADABRA death where Luke just vanishes with no momentum to it at all.
