If I remember my Gundam series/OVA release timeline correctly, I believe that the next one you would review was the first Gundam Build Fighter ova that came out before the first Build Fighters anime.
As a huge Gundam enthusiasts myself. Yes I got my start with Gundam Wing on Toonami and then the Mobile Suit Gundam series. I couldn't stand to watch Seed. To this day have not seen it. I didn't like the art approach to it back then and now that I've seen the whole of UC series, Seed is a cheap copy. That's me though. That isn't to say fans of Seed are wrong or that I'm better, it didn't appeal to me.
I liked Gundam Seed. It's the Mc. Donalds of Gundams. And I like Mc. Donalds too. It's junk, but it's enjoyable junk. That's pretty much as far as I'll go praising it though. I doubt I'll ever actually want to re-watch it. Unlike any of the other Gundam serries I've seen.
Usually anime/movie/book series with the biggest melodramatic emotional payoffs but have no actual good writing that logically constitutes those big emotional payoffs have the most sensitive and reactive fan bases because all they can see is the emotional payoff, all that horrible writing that precedes said payoff is somehow completely invisible to them they simply cannot detect it. Example: Kira survives for absolutely no logical reason but nobody cares cause everyone is just happy Kira survived somehow and that’s exciting.
I don't really watch a lot of anime, but I do like model kit building and big robots. Despite my love for building gunpla kits, I couldn't really get into the Gundam anime, or the mecha anime genre as a whole. The only mecha anime that I managed to sit through and finish was Code Geass, but I think that one would have still been great even without the mechs. I'd honestly rather watch an Armored Core anime with the usual grim, depressing, and nihilistic themes.
