Dear Friends, This is part two (of three) of my time spent in Israel this summer! Welcome to my journal, read from a resort on the Dead Sea :). I learned how to count to ten in Hebrew! I definitely wish that I could've/would've learned more Hebrew before going to Israel because I felt utterly helpless at the beginning, recognizing hardly any words but "Shalom." Thankfully, I learned a few vocab words while there, and I think that it's great fun to learn little things in other languages. I went to a beach near Ashdod, and I enjoyed swimming and watching the sunset. We also continued at Leket (the foodbank), but we were in the fields this time. Israel has amazing playgrounds, outdoor gyms, etc. I slept on the roof a couple times :). We went to the Dead Sea! It was SO much prettier than I was expecting (much better than Utah's Great Salt Lake, lol). We stayed at a nice resort near the Dead Sea which had an amazing pool. We dedicated another bomb shelter (watch pt. 1 to see the first two) with Friends of Israel x Operation Life Shield. We also visited the Ayalon Institute which felt like Hogan's Heroes in real life.
    Love, Hattie
