Got nothing but love for Chris and Yanni....both very good to me and didn't have to be. This was fun and WITH total respect, I think some of you might like the show I do with my Father called "American Loser Podcast"...we tell the stories of history's biggest losers and to borrow a quote from the hyenas...."ITS WILD"
loved hearing your stories on the ep! i'll check out the poddy cuz
@@rebecca24081 THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!!!!
That's awesome bro!. I gave you a sub. I hope nothing but good luck. I find this cool as I too have started a show with my old man. It's a comedy pod that's quite history heavy. It's been years in the making since I left radio for comedy in 2019, but finally there. We're kiwis, so a lot of our stories will be rare New Zealand stories, and we're currently recording my grandad's book into an audio form, his story is hilarious and a legendary war story, so if we don't put it out, no one will.
Anyway, massive respect and keep going hard.
You guys are a couple of Australians. My grandad fought the japanese .He took out a whole group once. That wasnt in the war he ran a tour bus off the road in Queensland in 1982. Its just a character piece. Love u guys
qld kant, its what it iz
no episode number? you guys are WILD
It's old
i love the idea of a shark taking a bite and thinking 'groOosss"
I really really like this kinda podcast, educational and funny
Damiel Tanon so awesome $
Captain Flint told us a story about the Indy once. "Japanese submarine slammed two torpedoes into our side, chief. It was comin' back, from the island of Tinian to Laytee, just delivered the bomb. The Hiroshima bomb. Eleven hundred men went into the water. Vessel went down in twelve minutes. Didn't see the first shark for about a half an hour. Tiger. Thirteen footer. You know how you know that when you're in the water, chief? You tell by lookin' from the dorsal to the tail. What we didn't know... was our bomb mission had been so secret, no distress signal had been sent. Huh huh. They didn't even list us overdue for a week. Very first light, chief. The sharks come cruisin'. So we formed ourselves into tight groups. You know it's... kinda like ol' squares in battle like a, you see on a calendar, like the battle of Waterloo. And the idea was, the shark comes to the nearest man and that man, he'd start poundin' and hollerin' and screamin' and sometimes the shark would go away. Sometimes he wouldn't go away. Sometimes that shark, he looks right into you. Right into your eyes. You know the thing about a shark, he's got...lifeless eyes, black eyes, like a doll's eye. When he comes at ya, doesn't seem to be livin'. Until he bites ya and those black eyes roll over white. And then, ah then you hear that terrible high pitch screamin' and the ocean turns red and spite of all the poundin' and the hollerin' they all come in and rip you to pieces.
Y'know by the end of that first dawn, lost a hundred men! I don't know how many sharks, maybe a thousand! I don't know how many men, they averaged six an hour. On Thursday mornin' chief, I bumped into a friend of mine, Herbie Robinson from Cleveland. Baseball player, boson's mate. I thought he was asleep, reached over to wake him up. Bobbed up and down in the water, just like a kinda top. Up ended. He'd been bitten in half below the waist. Noon the fifth day, Mr. Hooper, a Lockheed Ventura saw us. He's a young pilot, a lot younger than Mr. Hooper, anyway he saw us and come in low. And three hours later a big fat PBY comes down and start to pick us up. You know that was the time I was most frightened? Waitin' for my turn. I'll never put on a lifejacket again. So, eleven hundred men went in the water, three hundred and sixteen men come out, the sharks took the rest, June the 29, 1945. Anyway, we delivered the bomb."
Anyone else lowkey miss Zach ISIS? Was always on point with the sound board, it’s a shame he got thrown over the wall
I only miss the jokes on him n he wasnt on point with the sound board later on cause he tattooed his fingers so he couldnt focus n missed a lot
He was the absolute worst
He was the absolute opposite of your post.
When he was ON he was ON but when he was full F & Bs he was FULL. F. &. Bsssssss
I was surprised they didn't immediately pick him back up when they went to ATC. He was fired by Liz.
Please do a podcast on the USS Liberty. It has the potential to be Poughkeepsie wild!
How about an episode about what happened to the USS liberty!!!!
Yanni is Cayuuuuuute! and Chris is wild!
dasssss it
Love this podcast!
This story is WILD!
great real history love it thanks
Chrissy big heart, I was tearing up too hearing that man speak, extra blinking enabled
When I was a teenager I met one of the survivers of this ship.he talked about how because they were in the water so long, when the rescue picked the people up under their arms, they would slid off because of the soaked skin.
Damn thats gnarly!!
Damn yea I just watched the movie w Nicholas Cage. They didn’t show how the bad the skin was in the movie. Usually movies sensationalize everything, but it was almost like the movie toned it down because the reality was too dramatic for a commercial audience lol.
Nonetheless - In light of the current riots, the scene where the black and white dude that hated each other drown together was intense.
Dude this episode was 80% History and 20% Hyena and it wiiiiiilder !!
Wow I literally JUSTED WATCHED the 2016 Nick CAGE USS Indianapolis movie on Netflix before this got re-posted
Thank you for releasing this

The old episodes were so wild before swiss miss came on board and had to tame the hyenas.
Old man Willard sounds like Forest Gump.
Wild
I’m just franks n beans but have the HH done a project Manhattan podcast or a Philadelphia experiment pod ???
not that a tute knows of
The accent had me dead XD
This one and the crocodile massacre war story from Philippines is the wildest. Which is worse, being brined and sun-dried for 4 days while getting chunks of your body removed via sharks or being murky muddy swamp trying to survive with savage dinosaurs having a buffet.
Sharks don't eat humans but they will bite and maybe after 4 days, they might enjoy the taste. It's easy meals as well because humans are hopeless in the open sea. But crocs do eat humans. They'll eat anything ffs. Rotten flesh or even cannibalism is all good for those monsters.
Fkin brutes mcgutes.
Y'all put up the Nikki Glaser episode on spotify and google play
Chrissy kill it on here sooo Cayuuuute!!!!

Is this re upload?
Why'd you join the navy? You wanted to find mermaids? Lol. That was a good military joje jab.
My question is. Do Japanese sharks use chopsticks?
I miss when they used to talk like this 😂😂😂
HT
Is this old?
Yes
yannis said being a commanding officer is like being a surgeon, cuz there's no room for error. it would SEEM like that SHOULD be the case, but.... "According to a recent study by Johns Hopkins, more than 250,000 people in the United States die every year because of medical mistakes, making it the third leading cause of death after heart disease and cancer." 🤦🤦🤦
Sharks are all brutes no cutes
idk what happened ... but i know it's WILD.
Didn't Jaws eat like half the crew?
How old is this episode?
I think they are going back through the greats and reuploading them maybe with some edits .
One of the earlier ones before the cameras changed
Dear God the patriot recounting this tale at the end, is absolutely dumbfounding.
Chrissy Catholic
What happened? ISIS/AlQaieda/Taliban blew up a battleship and a bunch of sailors were in the water and then sharks came. But luckily Nicholas Cage and Tom Sizemore were there and bare-knuckle fought all the sharks, saving all the semen. Then they got rescued and all received medals of honor. Murica.
