New subscriber here! One of my favorite bands of the 80's and 90's. They could rock, they gave you melody, those piercing vocals!!! Still love them today.
if you haven't check out STRYPER - Free, Soldiers under command, Lady, make love great again, To hell with the devil are some of their best in their catalog of music.
Loved your reaction, but you missed the fact that it was Michael Wilton who did that awesome guitar solo. Degarmo and Wilton were a match made in heaven
Please check out if you haven't early Queensryche - Roads to madness, Queen of the Reich, walk in the Shadows, 'disconnected' and the Mtv unplugged 'I will remember' and 'Della Brown.'
Met Geoff Tate once, great guy, easy to talk to, I asked him why Chirs left, what he was up to, Geoff told me he is a pro pilot, has his own aircraft, I was like, yeah, I could see that. Asked if he talks to Chris he said at least once a week, they're great friends since grade school.
Bre this band has always been that deep. I think fir them playing in a time when glam rock bands were singing about girls cars getting drunk etc they were much more introspective. It may be why their pop wasn't as strong. All of them played with so much passion as I used to say played for keeps with songs that made you truly think. Empire written by degarmo like operation mindcrime written by tate was the record that put them on the map. But they were much more bass heavy than a lot of other bands of their era and tates vocals could easily fit an opera😱❤ all subjects might have been too much to really grasp back at that time too. Maybe stuff we didn't want to be reminded of. The wars on drugs children killing and being killed. It still happens and we still don't wanna know about it
Its great to see a sister that loves rock! Queensryche is the greatest band ever. Every part of this band is TOP NOTCH! Keep Ryching
Empire and mindcrime are just two masterpieces and worth listening to aswell as reading intp the story as the songs play.

The solo is Chris Degarmo, Wilton is playing the white Les Paul, Wilton is a great guitarist too though, they were a good guitar team...
Listen to the entire mindcrime album start to end. It’s a concept album/rock opera

Best song on the record by far, and top 5 of anything they ever did.
