Your coverage of this place was so different from Adam's. You really get right in there, Jacob, and look at all the weird small stuff. Good work, kind sir!
I've seen so many of these videos and places like this, it was a total surprise the owner wasn't some weird but enthusiastic middle-aged guy, but a kindly-voiced mother and a guy in a bowtie?
reira miya--You know what P. T. Barnum said: There's a sucker born every minute. There's a relevant scene to this house of silliness in a book by Anya Seton entitled Dragonwyck. Miranda, a farmer's daughter had married a very rich cousin, a Dutch "Patroon". Their home for "the season" was in NYC, and Nicholas (the "Patroon") took her to Barnum's display at her request. It was a bunch of oddities such as is displayed here by this family, and at the end of one corridor Miranda saw a sign that said, "To the Egress" and she said how much she wanted to see that attraction. Nicholas, knowing what the word meant, stated that it was, of all the attractions, the one he most wanted to see. As they passed through the door, Miranda was surprised to find herself in the street. Nicholas's response was "That's how Barnum gets rid of the stupid crowds." Where's the egress in this house of tripe?
Diane G--There are some photos and at least one magazine cover showing her smoking and she did use cigarettes in some of her roles. According to the BBC, she smoked marijuana, too. www.marilynmonroe.ca/camera/galleries/smoking/ news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/8390220.stm smokingsides.com/asfs/M/Monroe.html
I love all of your videos Jacob...but when I seen "Marylin's last cigarette" my heart jumped. lol I love Marylin and have been watching a lot of her lately. Fantastic video as usual! 💖
Cool, bizarre, interesting place Carpetbagger! BTW, ephemera - items like concert posters, campaign buttons, tickets to some event, are items produced with the intention of existing for only a short period of time. Something that would ordinarily be thrown away after it served it purpose.
whaaat?! I like this museum! Has actual history, behind each display! I like this place! Keep this museum alive and thriving! I love the bathroom! Wonder what the story is behind the razors and clay possum-looking creature statue.
Cool Jacob. I am a huge MM fan. She ddnt die in a hotel room, so I doubt that its wasnt her last cigarette. but anything from her is cool. What a cool museum. I love the narration from the owners.
I just started watching you but have you been to the Mutter museum in Philadelphia? Look it up if you haven't already. They have Chang and Eng's death cast of their torso and head. They have a lady who turned to soap when she died. Tons of remarkable medical oddities.
Oh wow! That sucks so bad! It is such an awesome place to experience. It is really a shame that they don't allow video. It seems small but there is so much to see that you can spend all day in there! Well, until your next adventure! Cheers!!
They definitely stretch the definition of "ephemera/ephemerata" here. Most of this is either garbage or just gross. But it's cool that bizarre little "museums" like this exist off the beaten path!
Up waaay too late again. I've been here before (vicariously), but can't remember who's vid it was, Adam's, perhaps? Didn't Marilyn die at home, in her Hollywood bungalow? If so, then her last smoke didn't come from a hotel. Then again, the whole idea of a museum of this sort is to bring many a grain of salt along with - that's what makes it fun. The magic of belief / believin' in magic. Pass on the vial of eye goo, tho.
Etherial things, it means an application of the word meaning "of the ether" with ether being a gas. Ethertial things.. of the imaginaton, not the physical world and in this case they refer to the later value of common objects having some percieved value, apparently.
Not necessarily, In it's natural state, white fur wouldn't glow under UV light....However, if the critter in question was ever shampooed with a product to enhance the white coat, then yes. Modern hair care products for white or pale hair have UV enhancers to make them look less dingy, and brighter. Also hair removed from a modern, real, tanned fur coat, or other product will glow because the furs are treated with the same enhancers.
Jacob... Gainsborough Blue boy. I live in Sudbury Suffolk the home town of Thomas Gainsborough who painted the blue boy. we have a museum in his old house. and also we have a statue of Thomas Gainsborough in the middle of our market place if you'd like information or pictures I can send you some same with the mummified cat at the hotel x
Hey I just noticed you sell shirts pretty cool . Do the shirts run true to size or run a little big ? Make a phone case with the opossum on it that would be cool I would buy one 👍.
Clearly this young family of collectors is related to that eminent expert in the field of psychoceramics, Professor Josiah Stinkney Carberry, of Brown. Believe I caught a glimpse of him, departing round the house...
Wondered that too. She seems to accept the seller's stories on Ebay as gospel truth. Witness the "John Wayne pheasant". I would want hard, traceable provenance for an item to claim it as something super specisl like that.
Come on Jacob you endorse his lies bye playing this on your Channel you're better than this I seen it on your channel you don't need the subscribers that bad you should have not even spent the time of this guy
Ephemerata evidently means random crap we found or stole and want to show off. So strange. :)
She is in the right line of work! Her voice is perfect for teaching and tours etc
Your coverage of this place was so different from Adam's. You really get right in there, Jacob, and look at all the weird small stuff. Good work, kind sir!
Bundang Bear Agreed! I love Adam don't get me wrong but he moves really fast most the time. Mr Carpetbagger here seems to enjoy taking his time.
Her voice is sooooooooo relaxing. "Falls asleep while learning " 😂
This place is pretty cool! The couple presented the exhibits quite well and kept it interesting.
I love how passionate she and her children are
Happy Friday Jacob' I think it's cool that the family owns and runs the museum!
the title of the museum makes sense, its an item that is to be discarded after use, but becomes collectable.
I've seen so many of these videos and places like this, it was a total surprise the owner wasn't some weird but enthusiastic middle-aged guy, but a kindly-voiced mother and a guy in a bowtie?
that was an amazing museum i had a lot of fun watching that thank you for bring me along with you i love all of you're videos thank you
love this museum.
Love it! The thought of these tiny museums and other little oddities hidden in residential areas is really fascinating!
Lol when the lady with the baby in the bathroom (at the end of tour) says to her baby., "We're going to try to make your room look like this.""
It couldn't be her last cigarette, unless she stopped smoking, because she died at her home (not in a hotel).
+Diane G me neither, but I guess everyone smoked back then

reira miya other problem is it is a filter cigarette, filter cigarettes were basically nonexistent until the 70’s and 80’s
Diane G she did smoke there's heaps of pics and vids of her smoking
Great Museum , Great couple with a rare sense of Humor. Austin is the wildest place. Thanks for bringing this to me.
+Erick Erickson loved Austin
she reminds me of Winona Rider
Nice little museum, with a detailed tour.
I love all of your videos Jacob...but when I seen "Marylin's last cigarette" my heart jumped. lol I love Marylin and have been watching a lot of her lately. Fantastic video as usual! 💖
Demon Rat how was it clearly not her last cigarette?
Cool, bizarre, interesting place Carpetbagger! BTW, ephemera - items like concert posters, campaign buttons, tickets to some event, are items produced with the intention of existing for only a short period of time. Something that would ordinarily be thrown away after it served it purpose.
Very inspiring. Id like to open a odditorium like this.
Very interesting place, and kitties to enjoy as well. Thanks for the tour.

There's a skate shop in my town that greets you with a taxidermy squirrel giving you the middle finger hahaha.

Tex, the kitty was the best part, so thumbs up.
👀 collecting eye crust.....
Bacula (Racoon Penis Bone) also was a token in Appalachia given to the younger (HS) female love interest like a class ring or letter jacket/sweater.
When I saw the thumbnail I thought of the animals from the Lunchables commercial

+millie williams want to go but they don't allow video
Oh wow! That sucks so bad! It is such an awesome place to experience. It is really a shame that they don't allow video. It seems small but there is so much to see that you can spend all day in there! Well, until your next adventure! Cheers!!
What an interesting place! you find the most unusual places to visit,,, Keep up the great work,,,,,
That blacklight Django Reinhardt room looks chillllllllllll son
If they're saving eye crust in a jar, I wouldn't be surprised if they had a booger wall somewhere in there.
I. loved the vlog thanks Carpetbagger. 🐱🐱👍👍
Amazing... I love this place!
Always up for some carpetbagger !
This is great!
Interesting, but a LOT of this is pure, weapons grade Baloneyum, story wise...Fun stuff though.

"many a grain of salt" - nice
eye goo? that's collected sleep, sure to generate insomnia for me
Same here. Salty tear. Just ponder: How much eye crust needs must to fill this vial? Both sticky AND icky!
10:20 Say that fast three times 😂🤣
Archery Mom Five n🅾

these vids are pretty awesome

crazy cool👍
Wow..
interesting museum :)
If the cat fur was white, wouldn't any cat fur glow under black-light?

+C.j. Brownbear my heads fine, that was months ago :)
does anybody watch the whole commercial
I tried to. Once.
Did you happen to ask here how she got to be in possession of the "Last Smoked Cigarette" ?
Wondered that too. She seems to accept the seller's stories on Ebay as gospel truth. Witness the "John Wayne pheasant". I would want hard, traceable provenance for an item to claim it as something super specisl like that.
Marilyn Monroe died in her own home, so how could they know if that was the last cigarette that she smoked?
Very good point.
I thought Marilyn passed away at home?
The women looks a bit like Emma Watson
How is a jackalope creepy
That lady is crazy
And her father.. 🤪
Who needs a muesum when you have a chick like that to tell a tale.. She should do my friend the James Merrylin collection 🤔🙄😳
bahahaa what a crock of a place. those people are kidding themselves XD
Theres no actual proof it was marylin monroe's last cigarette it could of been her first!
who agrees?
Thank you for letting me know people use a raccoon penis as a toothpick. I did not know that. . . .
Nor did I need to . . ..
+Artisan Noteworthy make sure you remove it from the raccoon first
No thanks, anyway. I'll pass. ^^
Depends on how close you are to your Raccoon.....ewww.
I find this lady very attractive
Come on Jacob you endorse his lies bye playing this on your Channel you're better than this I seen it on your channel you don't need the subscribers that bad you should have not even spent the time of this guy
Marilyn monroe is my distant cousin.NO JOKE!!!!!.
Marilyn.ML.Allen dude, she is dead.
Marilyn.ML.Allen and if she is your distant cousin, how did she die,
And how old are you?
I'm 15 and my family believes it was homicide but we are not totaly sure.
Animatronic_Films no shit
Marilyh.Mt.Allen--So, with that factoid, for which you've given no real proof, and $3.75, you can purchase a trente iced coffee black, at Starbuck's.
