- A lot of people presume it's in the bag for Jeremy Corbyn in the seat he's represented for four decades - but there's actual huge challenges in the way. Here's what I found talking to the former Labour leader and his constituents.

When I was 16 years old and homeless in Islington it was Jeremy who did the case work and helped me get secure housing when Islington Council shamefully refused my application. A man of the people who has my vote.
@@PaisleyN7 love and respect for all people is what’s l lacking in society . I was lucky enough or maybe wise enough to insulate myself from the Tory ideology and hatred for its own citizens. But just like you I could have easily been homeless. Hope you’re doing ok now . And I hope things change for the better under labour with starmer but I don’t really have any faith in him to change things and make a real difference. Jeremy has s a genuine person as far as I’m concerned and the best prime minister we never had
This interview with Jeremy has tears rolling down my cheeks thinking about what the UK could have been like with him as PM.
Same
A win for Corbyn is a win for humanity.
I worked for a very big law firm at the time of the last general election, I was not a lawyer. But so many people drank the kool aid of Jeremy being a terrorist supporter in my department.. I really hope he wins in Islington. He was the last chance we had for change. And a fundamentally decent man.
Totally!!
Now the truth is out about Israehell & Starmers dodgy behaviour in ousting Corbin .
Massive coordinated media smear campaign, which spread like wildfire.
JC terrorist supporter it’s laughable 😂😂😂😂
"But so many people drank the kool aid of Jeremy being a terrorist supporter in my department.."
Jeremy Corbyn consistently voted against anti-terror legislation. He talked about friends from Hezbollah and Hamas. He condemned bombings by the IRA, but wouldn't condemn the IRA itself. And, in a 2023 interview with Piers Morgan, Corbyn wouldn't call Hamas a terror group.
That doesn't make Corbyn a terrorist supporter - but that's a lot of red flags.
I'm with Corbyn in spirit. I wish I could vote for him again. He is a beautiful soul.
Why can't you?

James jacobs. No he didn't. That was an excuse for people who wouldn't have voted for him anyway. Sorry if the Apartheid state of Israel matters more to you than this country!
@@Samuel-hd3cp Actually him being seen as sympathetic towards Hamas and anti-semtiism is what was used to undermined him politically. Surely you understand he was in a stronger position to bring about positive change as leader of oppositon than he is now where he's uncertain to even conserve his own seat. Open your eyes , it very much did cost him support.
@@jamesjacob21 Looks like you were wrong lol
The way this man has been treated is an absolute disgrace for a man who has given his life to the party. For this alone I would never vote for starmer without his right wing manifesto
Jeremy is a rare kind of politician, he actually has principles.
Exactly. It’s a quality that is sadly lacking.
Wish I could vote for Corbyn - our best chance of a bright future was lost when he didnt become PM. What a guy - a true hero of the people.

Fingers crossed. It's an uphill battle but I hope Corbyn makes it. One of the last upright politicians in the UK!
Corbyn sounds like a great MP. I’ve literally only ever seen mine once, and that was at the last election knocking on my door asking for my vote. This was a man who I had contacted numerous times to help with a homeless friend who was suffering from serious mental health problems at the time and he did sod all and never even replied. Labour MP as well. He’s not getting my vote this year.
I'll bet what you described is a common situation throughout UK.
Sorry to hear that, hope your friend managed to get some help.
I've never seen my MP or had replies to all my emails.
What utter corrupt times we are living in. Jeremy Corbyn is one of the most sincere and honest politicians to ever have entered parliament. Please Islington vote for him. Best wishes from Yorkshire.
We will 💪💪💪
Jeremy is a thoroughly decent man who is a voice for the vulnerable and the voiceless. He was patron of a homeless charity that I used to volunteer for. Always attended the AGMs and gave heartfelt speeches. Vote Jeremy!

Hi Owen, in my humble opinion this election in this constituency is a very clear bell-weather for the state of the British electorate. By all right and proper accounts Corbyn should win it easily but that demands a level of sensible intelligence that so far is conspicuous by its absence!. There is also the weight of resources that the Labour party must invest in order to bolster its own narrative, to lose the seat to Jeremy would be a very clear signal that real socialism is not yet lost.
Cheers, Richard.
