Battery is 3s Panasonic High Drain Cells. Motor is from a green Bosh 12V NiCD Drill. I've measured with my clamp meter it seems to pull up to 40 Amps... Which is on the high side for the cells, definitely not for continues use. Still lacks power, I hope to find narrower cutting discs, as the 2.5mm ones are just too thick.
I'm using a 1mm blade on mine. the brand is FlexOvit. I had to backspace it with fiber tap washers so it would not hit the screws on the guard. alternatively you could put flatter screws in the guard. I will have to find a motor to upgrade mine.
What motor / battery combo did you use?
I was given one of these and I've made a 7.4v lithium pack for it. surprised at how little power it has.
