The Galaxy Express Movies were aired on Sci-Fi Channel back in the 90's, which is when I saw them. They're some of the best written and animated movies ever made. There's no reason they should not be aired today for new and old generations to enjoy ^_^
the thing is that the franchise is even greater... there is the original TV series, the movies, eternal fantasy movie and so much more... and thats only GE999... then there is also the captain harlock saga and the galaxy railways saga and the queen emeraldas saga... leiji matsumoto is for a reason part of the 3 grandfathers of anime... together with osamu tezuka and hayao miyazaki
Fuck ya that where I saw galaxy express, I lucked out on a sunday afternoon as A kid and got to see the whole movie from the hotel part till the end and it honestly stayed with me since, I think I was 8 or 9 when I saw it and Im in my mid 30's now. Perfect franchise
