|MLP speedpaint| thorns pride (nightmare apple jack, Reupload)

Hello o/ sorry for the late upload
Thorn was the only name I could come up for nightmare AJ so i went with it, i themed her after a knight and knew i was not gonna give her a near black body so I desaturated her colours and darkened her coat, this is when i started to understand how to shade armour which is good, if i were to change anything now about the design i think it would be making the armour and her coat not blend so much (they didn’t in the base colours stage but after shading they definitely blend a bit XD) in this hypothetical world where aj is corrupted she is corrupted by the everfree forest vines so shes covered in them and her eyes match them, I imagine she’d use the vines to lasso her enemies

I like the armour on apple jack, it emphasizes her strength as an earth pony, and the way the vines go INSIDE the armour looks not only uncomfortable but almost like the vines are just puppeteering applejack. Wouldn’t put it past some sentient vines planted by discord
