Brazilians loved Peterson. for his spectacular driving style, for his friendship with Émerson Fittipaldi, and for the person he was. I read that when Ronnie came to Brazil to compete in the Brazilian Grand Prix, he used to take a Ford Maverick (which was manufactured here at the time) and have fun on the winding roads that crossed the mountains and led to the Brazilian coast. There are many beautiful texts about Ronnie Peterson written by Brazilian journalists who covered F1 at the time he was racing.
Never forget: It was Ronnie HIMSELF whom demanded operation... I trust the words of Dr Sidney Watkinson: "Just patch me up, Professor... I must race in Montreal to have a fair chanse... Whatever you do, dont take my feets..."
If SOMEBODY "killed" Ronnie, then it was the Italian safety crew that left him for 6 minutes on the track while working on Brambillas head injuries... Well, no blame there - they actually saved Brambillas life... Love from Sweden 💖
Hmmm, John Watson married the widdow from Jochen Rindt (died at Monza -71), Nina... Ronnie and Barbro named their baby after that good friend... They divorced... Aaaand... John Watson marries Ronnies widow, and becomes the stepfather of his ex-wifes goddaughter... Creepy. And actually I Think Barbro wound up dead in James Hunts (the main who pulled Ronnie out of the wreckege) bathtub... You just gotta love them - the racing people back then were family, but just waited for the next one to croak Weeeell, we gotta love them A

Så fint å se!
It's so lovely how his daughter looks so much like him, it's like seeing Ronnie smile again
When I see his daughter, all I see is Ronnie himself
Peterson war einer der besten und sympathischsten Rennfahrer
Austria 1978🇸🇪
Jag minns en intervju som tv gjorde med Ronnie Petersson. Där sa han att han visste om riskerna med sporten men, sa han, " jag tar den risken."
Is there an English translation available for this video? Thank you, Mark

Your comment about James Hunt is not correct, Barbro drowned in her own bathtub at her house in Cookham Dean in Berkshire, UK.
@@lotus72e Thanx, I stand corrected 👍

Barbro Eduarsson-Petersson died in 1987; James Hunt died in 1992.
