Martin!! Hi! How are you? No, don't be sorry for being greedy... We haven't been reacting much to IU since so many comebacks are active but we will be sharing more content soon. We are looking forward to watching palette, I am so excited for Lucia to get to know IU in that context.

Thank you both for reacting to IU and helping to spread the word about this amazing person.
Regarding the songvand MV 8 I'd like to add some additional detail and background. DKDK TV does an excellent job of decoding the song and MV. They posted this video not to long after the MV was released, so the fact they hit on 95% of what is going on in such a short time is remarkable. There was a lot of debate on the meaning of the MV and song that lasted actually for a couple of years. The very first ideas about the songs meaning was solely based around IU's childhood memories and didn't mention virtually anything to do with her 3 friends. As I studied the MV and discovered other aspects of it, I got a lot of push back from those who held the opinion that it didn't have anything to do with her friends. As they would make their arguments I noticed several thing in their position that simply didn't fit. I noticed that they woukd cherry pick scenes and lyrics that they felt supported their position while ignoring everything that didn't fit or fit well into their argument. They even referenced the few things IU said about the song, which were general type comments like how she wrote the song like she was talking directly to her fans instead of her usual essay type format. But there was nothing in her comments that confirmed or rejected any of the theories. But the fact she didn't say anything about the song being about her friends seems to have at that time convinced a number of fans that it was not about her friends. However, when you consider the totality of the lyrics and the MV, everything fits into to theory that she is sings about her friends. There isn't anything in the MV or lyrics that does not support this position. It has been awhile since I have heard anyone suggest otherwise.
Again while DKDK TV did a remarkable job of presenting the evidence of what the song is actually about there are several things that over the past couple of years I have developed that DKDK TV, did not catch. I started this study after having watched several other of IU's MV and listening to explanations of them that there is virtually nothing that appears in an IU MV that doesn't have a meaning related in someway to the story she is telling.
It was with this time set that everytime I watched this MV I would look for things big or small that had not been been explained or accounted for in any explanation that I was aware of and if I found one I would then try and figure out it's meaning. And there are several things I found in the MV and/or lyrics, which I will lay out for you now.
The first thing is in the opening scene of the MV as IU enters the room and is getting ready to turn on the machine we are shown a lizard climbing on the ceiling looking down on IU. This seems initially totally out of place and no one explains why. In IU's MV if the camera focuses on something you can bet there is something significant about it. In this scene the lizard is unnoticed by IU and is looking down upon her as in watching over her. This is first of 2 live lizards we see in the MV and this one is different than the one we see in the tank. This lizard most definitely represents Junghyun. He and IU were very close, and as explained in the DKDK video has a connection to lizard/dragons. Since he was the first of the three to past it is also fitting that he is represented first, as each friend is represented in order oof their deaths. Sulli through the house and the lamp, and Goo through the 2nd live lizard.
There are two styles of animation used in the MV. While some notice the different animation styles I have not heard anyone explain the reasoning behind it. The girl in white is in 2d whole IU and Suga are I 3d. The girl in white has caused a lot of confusion for fans. As IU herself is dressed in white while she in in the memory saving machine, so many people simply think that this 2d girl is also IU. However, the best explanation for the use of 2d and 3d animation is to represent the living (3d) from those who have pasted (2d). Something IU has used in other videos has well like 23.
Sulli is the girl in white. Sulli appear led in a few episodes of Hotel Del Luna with IU and in her last scene Sulli is wearing a white dress.
DKDK TV states that the 2d girl is running freely through the woids without a care. This part of their explanation never made any sense to me. In fact, the girl appears to be on a mission to get to someplace before it is too late. Here is my theory on this part. Those who take their own lives can't possibly know what impact their decision will have on those they leave behind. In anyone in such a stare if despair is thinking only of ending their own pain and suffering. But now after the fact Sulli is discovering the pain she is causing IU. The unintended consequence of her decision. Something she never i tended to cause. And she has decided to, as best she can, correct this by saying goodbye to IU. So she is running through the woods to get to the place that divides the living from the dead. This is represented by the black wall she encounters. She separates the darkness and steps back into the light where she knows that Junghyun will be waiting to carry her off to rendezvous with the plan carrying IU. So her jumping off the cliff isn't a carefree act it is an intentional act knowing that Junghyun will be their catch her. When the meet up with the plan IU sees them and smiles. Getting the answer to her question "are you happy now". The look on Sulli face however, is one of concern and sorrow for the pain she has caused her friend. Sulli and Junghyun both get to say goodbye to IU. Which helps IU go on living and allows her anger and pain melt away and leaves her with only the good memories of her friends.
There is still so much IU content for you to discover. And I will highly recommend her behind the scenes videos. In those videos you really get to see IU and get to see her personality and her virtue. In my 70 years on this planet I have NEVER come across anyone like her. A few ways I have heardvother people describ her that are so true, " she was born under a Star" "She is a live therapy session" "IU heals the soul", and Rolling Stone Magazine list her among the 200 Greatest Singers of All Time.

As a Korean-American, the man from DKDktv might know a bit more about Korean affairs than most Americans. I would like to give a higher score to the interpretation on the '김일오 15kim' RUclips channel.
