bro CRAZIEST STORY. I was on soundcloud listening to the jujutsu kaisen opening and I head THIS song at the end but didn’t know where it was from. It was only today while I was watching this anime BY ACCIDENT (because I watched episode 1 last year but never finished) that I heard the soundtrack. FINALLY

I was only 11 when I watched this (I was scared shitless on the first episode lmao), just rewatched the series and the movie the other day. Man I feel old despite being 19, I felt so happy when there was a continuation but I feel like it could have been more. The ending felt rushed, I wanted to see more of Ikoma and gang's journey (Like do they eventually reclaim Aragane station, does our two MCs revert back to being human or remain being kabaneri?), but oh well, guess we'll never get a proper closure and continuation of this series. Fuck, typing this out while listening to this song is giving me so much nostalgia, and the song's melancholic vibe isn't helping.

the anime is actually good, and the soundtracks just make it better
if this songs seems familiar its probably because the writer Hiroyuki Sawano has worked on other anime such as Aot and Aldnoah zero
Also the female singers (mostly) working with him have easy to recognize voices.

@@thealliedpowers To be fair, a lot of OPs and EDs are quite skippable. Some, however, are worth every listen. Overfly from the second half of the first season of SAO was one of those for me (say what you will about the show, but the music was Kajiura and she's a goddess with anime soundtracks)

Started out well but was rushed in the end and there was a lot of nonsense fan-service. Would still give it a 7 though. Overall is enjoyable.
Could Kabaneri even be called a ripoff at this point? Considering the direction AoT went following the revelations at Grisha's basement, I doubt terms like "ripoff" "knockoff" or "clone" are apt descriptions for Kabaneri.

This is an awesome song for an equally badass anime
People would say its a AoT ripoff but in no way thats true. Yes the animation looks same(same studio what do you expect) and does have some AoT vibe in it but the general and overall feel it gives is totally different. Its a mess in the end but worth watching.

At least Kabaneri is actually a post-apocalyptic work unlike AoT where the Titan apocalypse turned out to be a lie and that the Titans were converted Eldian prisoners dumped on Paradis Island by the Nazi-like Marleyans.

Four years ago man... I wonder what we all did back then. I really love this song, calm, uplifting, epic and also inspiring in many ways. Still one of mt favourite OST. The most stereotypical and cliché, this song over a night under summer nights sky and campfire, woke me up. "Don't be afraid of the daybreak" man... That night was just coming out of a long and boring dream! We just stared endlessly into the sky making fun on our view on life. Why be afraid of what's to come, it should be afraid of you! Shit... It hits home.
