Love this series! This, and Touring Car Masters are perhaps my favorite racing series ever. Absolutely love the front air dams that these guys have designed for those 1st-gen Camaros and Mustangs; very aggressive, but still beautifully integrated and compliment the body lines of each car--don't look tacked on like an afterthought. I know it'd be near-impossible logistically and $$$ wise, but I only wish the CMC and TCM series could get "ambassadorial" invites to an event like the Le Mans Classic. Would be magical to see these cars geared for screaming down the Mulsanne straight, and I'd bet the fans would eat it up. Oi! FIA! Get on it!
I wouldn't necessarily go that far, I have seen some initiatives on a national level in US for old school and vintage cars. Different case for Australia and New Zealand, where we really never moved on from the Historic Cars period and evolved in creating a marvelous Racing Series dedicated just to these vehicles. I'm so glad I can see them and film them racing!

That's one hell of a proposition. If planned correctly it would be easy to pay off the whole travel expenses just with sponsors and event revenue
