2024 HUSD Bond & Override Election Overview

The A-Rated Higley Unified School District has placed two important issues on the November General Election ballot.
The first item is a continuation of the existing 15% Maintenance and Override funding that was most recently passed in 2019.
The override will be used to support teacher salaries maintain class sizes; and fund essential programs including special education, elementary special programs, gifted programs, and additional educational resources for classrooms.
The second item is a bond proposal to provide critical funding for construction including school safety, security, and technology projects; essential maintenance; school improvements and classroom expansion; as well as transportation investments.
Both items were developed to ensure that tax rates remain flat - meaning these proposals WILL NOT increase the tax rate.
