Newspaper Amiya was not from an old CC, at least on Global. On Global, it was one of the rewards for login missions at game launch. I cannot remember if we had to do anything but logging on a certain number of days during the event to get it. Prob there were some other missions, too. Also, the way you called Ascalon an "unimportant" operator can be confusing for players who don't follow CN server news closely (prob your target audience btw). Ascalon is actually comparable to Ines at how much she is important for endgame content. It's just that most players cannot afford pulling both for her and for W alter + Logos; but it doesn't make Ascalon herself any worse. She is more important than E2 Ethan.

In a similar spot as you, I also started roughly a month ago. I dont think its possible to get all 300 pulls but Im aiming for 200. I think its possible with clearing out side story content for Originite Prime alongside the event content, as well as doing your weekly Annihilations for Orundum.
I literally have over 365 pulls. I win on Ascalon automatically. I’m going to have close to 380 at least by her release. And then getting Wis’adel and Ascalon is easy win for me. I instantly get pot 3 logos because I have tokens lol and instantly pot 2 Wis’adel
I like Ascalon and gameplay wise she's really good. But Wis'Adel and Logos are just on a whole another level. Logos is so broken that he powercrept all the casters, despite being a standard operator. Wis'Adel is limited and I can't afford to miss out on such a powerful unit. I'll just purchase Ascalon using a selector ticket in the future, Wis'Adel and Logos are my priority.
