  • 💰 Ready to explore creating a weekly passive income through selling puts? Let's break it down. Selling puts involves acting as an insurance provider for stocks you believe in. For instance, with CCL trading at $16.50, you could sell a put, committing to buy the stock if it drops to a specified price, say $15. In return, you collect a premium, like $27 for each contract (options are in lots of 100 shares).
📈 The key is having enough capital to cover potential stock purchases. You can sell weekly puts on popular stocks like Microsoft or Uber. For example, Uber's $58 stock lets you collect about $84 by selling puts 10 days out. Remember, the risk lies in potentially having to buy 100 shares if the stock falls below the agreed price.
💡 Tips: Monitor stock trends, use options with expirations that suit your strategy, and be prepared to hold or buy the stock. Manage risk by spreading your capital across various trades. It's a dynamic way to generate income, but ensure you understand the stocks you're dealing with. Happy trading! 📊🚀 #PassiveIncome #OptionsTrading #financialfreedom

The max loss is stock price X 100 correct? Or can lose unlimited?

The max loss is your strike less the premium you collected multiplied by how many contracts you sold. This will occur if the stock goes to $0. For example, let's say you sold 2 puts for company XYZ @ $2 each, at a strike of $50. Your cost basis (breakeven) per contract would be $50 - $2 = $48. Multiply that by 200 (2 contracts = 200 sh) and your total risk is $9600. The $400 reduces some risk.
