Why are y’all so desperate for Jim to talk about the Punk/JB video? It didn’t reveal anything new. It backed up everything Punk said. And it made AEW look like amateur hour as usual. Nothing major or out of the ordinary for Jim to rant on.

the moment between Cody and Michael Cole was really really nice and Samantha's emotion when announcing Cody as the winner and new champion was so real and so heartfelt I got teary eyed.
It’s crazy Cody Rhodes left WWE to become a star which he did and CM Punk was the opposite. He left WWE to prove he was a star without WWE and failed.

UFC he failed as a draw, failed in AEW, didn’t add ratings for WWE and Rock came back again to help since Punk isn’t a draw. Dude associated himself with Colt Cabana and Jungle boy which says a lot about him as a person. Normal people wouldn’t interact with that crap

One of the best evenings of wrestling I’ve ever seen. Excellent matches, big cathartic moments, and a final 10 minutes that will be seared into every wrestling fan’s memory forever.

I really want to hear Jim's take on Omega's comments over the last 24 hours. It would seem they share more in common then he would ever think regarding the wresting business AND the respect for our four legged friends. As a die hard AEW mark I actually believe that omega belongs in current day WWE. His brain for Wrestling is up there with the smartest in the business... I honestly believe that him and MJF are the only drawing power aew has at the moment. Makes sense why the ratings are dying. The Bucks and TK really do seem like they will be the downfall of aew.

If Punk can stay healthy enough, Cody Vs. Punk is the feud I want to see.
Somewhere on RUclips (can’t find it now) there’s a clip from backstage after an AEW event. Cody Rhodes is talking with a disabled kid in some sort of meet and greet. Cody’s doing his best babyface/superhero act, and the kid seems happy. But then CM Punk walks in. The kid LOSES HIS MIND. Punk is polite and deferential. The kid keeps repeating “you’re my favorite wrestler” to which punk replies “nooo, you’re just saying that to be nice.” Cody, staring at the floor, chimes in “no. He was saying that.”
To me that video says everything about what a feud between these two could be. You play up how Cody is always the consummate professional and nice guy, yet Punk is the one fans go crazy for. You play up how each has something the other can be jealous of-Rhodes has the pedigree, the name, the leg-up in the industry, and now he has his WrestleMania main event moment. Punk has the charisma, the allure, and the cult-like following. I could see a lot of great promos coming out of a feud between these two…as for the wrestling, we’ll have to see what Punk looks like when he recovers

**To answer Jims QUESTION**Rey Mysterio was inducted in HOF and was a part of the active roster AND on the wrestlemania card for the same weekend he became HOF.
So was Flair

Fear and Loathing in AEW
I say, I love the Undertaker but to learn afterwards he was only there because WWE couldn't cough up enough $ for Stone Cold is a little disappointing but still, nice to see him appear & disappear. Should have been in the hat & coat imo, the Rock/Undertaker image would've been more iconic 🧐
AJ vs LA Knight was amazing to me. The flippy doo AJ did at the climax, LAs leap to the top rope, The exposed cement floor spot it was just great
Better than Sami vs Walter imo. A more serious person like Chad Gable or Bron Brekker should’ve been the one to defeat Gunther
I think Punk is ether not injured anymore, or is very close to completing his rehab, he didn't have the brace on at RAW. He didn't take it off for no reason

Did you notice that they are stepping away from calling it the "universal" title and just the Undisputed WWE Championship?
They’re soft resetting it to just be the WWE title. Same way that when they unified the WWE & WHC titles they called it the ‘Undisputed WWE World Heavyweight Championship’ for a while then reverted to just calling it the WWE title after a while, especially when they brought in the Universal Title.

The build up to the fight footage reaction is almost equal to the Wrestlemania main event hype. This will be the Jim Cornette equivalent to ending the story, only it's the story of how Cornette, Brian and ultimately Punk were inadvertently proven right by Tony Khan.
We inch closer and closer to the moment and the video that we've all been waiting for. Any moment now...

the overhead cameras are 8K camera's i believe, shot in 4K.
And high frame rate. I remember when they first got them they were used on the ramp for entrances. The vanished until wrestlemania.

That Logan Paul "low down"/ frog splash was a thing of absolute perfection
Is it just me or does Paul Ellering just detract from the group? It makes zero sense to bring him back for this if he's not going to be the main promo cutting guy. 3 man groups also just do not work in WWE because there's no division for it. It worked for New Day because they were all pretty believable as tag champs so the freebird rule made sense, they felt like any combination of the two were just as good friends as any other combination. But Kross/AOP, Bobby/Profits, etc... all these guys just feel so disconnected and not really a "team".
I think it works best when you have a tag team with a woman alongside them. Nobody comes off as the "main" person and as a result nobody really feels secondary. And you can utilize some of the women nobody really wants to see wrestle that way as well. The women just need to be more involved in the matches one way or another, and cut promos more often when the group is backstage. The thing is, the second you add that fourth person to the group, it all falls apart. When it works it works well (Judgment Day) but 90% of the shots are misses.
DIY would be better with Tegan Nox and vice versa. Same with Bate/Dunne and Shayna. There's so many groups/people floundering or doing nothing, rotate teams out and give people a chance to miss them. Send some acts down to NXT to give them something to do... IDK. I just think imitating the AEW/NJPW faction nonsense is bad for everyone the way they are doing it.
Punk and Drew have the potential to be the first "feud" (meaning more than 3 consecutive PLE matches with the last one being the blow off with a stip) we've had in wrestling in ages. Their mic work is exceptional, Drew is stepping up big time They should move Drew to Smackdown so he's pissed he can't get revenge on Punk or have Punk become a 3x MITB winner and cash in on Drew again immediately. Keep these two at each other's throat til that well runs dry, I say. Then buy AEW , have Logan Paul buckshot lariat both Buckeroos and then give both of them a Bagwell farewell
Those Cameras, I believe, are 8K and they have lenses with an insanely shallow depth of field at about f/1. It gives them a really defined Bokeh effect. I don't think they look good with the screens behind them because the blurred LED lighting gives it a very strange, synthetic look. They have been using it more for shots in the ring during entrances, and it looks much better with the crowd out of focus.
They first started using those cameras, I believe, at Royal Rumble 2020 or 2021 only as they walked down the ramp. I hated it. It looked terrible. It's been about two years since they last used them, likely because they looked bad. The technology is likely better and UFC people know how to use them better than Dunn.
Maybe I'm off but I thought they're setting up a Fatal 4 way for the Heavyweight Championship in the next few months. Rollins, Punk, Drew, Priest. But who knows. I'm not Triple H, nor do I claim to know what's happening in his head
I’m not claiming ima wwe savant. BUT, I predicted Drew over Seth with Priest cashing in. Also, nailed the Cena taking out Solo piece. My miss was Taker / Rock. I thought it would be Austin that stunned Rocky.

Corny is gonna rip Tony Khan a new one when he reviews the footage and I’m sure he’s gonna bring up all the HEAT Jack Perry got… in New Japan!! 🤦🏾♂️ the decisions Tony has been making with the emergence of new leadership in the WWE, things are only gonna get tougher for Tony
I think of the long term story telling hadn't been so good, then optically this might have looked like WWE booking baby faces to win just to start the new era off with popularity. And I'm sure it was that lol. But it didn't feel like it because it was done well. It made sense in the ring, it made sense with the characters, it was exciting as heck.
If HHH can string together more boom years than busts, watch how it changes the legacy of Vince McMahon. Vince oversaw more slump years than boom years, and if it's proven that wrestling doesn't have to be that way ... well, I think with the aura of "being the man at the top" cleared up we might see his body of work more clearly. Which is to say he didn't do so great of a job.
Now to be fair I think Taker coming out as the Deadman version so soon after retiring the gimmick would be wrong and it should be saved for a really big occasion should he decide to return for a match, whilst it'd be great to see the Deadman version for his appearances it's obviously all about him being there to do something... Obviously as far The Bloodline one must look to the post Mania Smackdown which has already started changes and presumably the following weeks episode for developments...

The raw after WrestleMania review?
If Moxley shows up at WWE, that's a step backwards for WWE. He is just not needed. If Rollins is going to start up the Shield again, he should start from scratch with some new members.
It's all a bunch of kids playing wrestling now.... There is no definitive IT person. Even Heenan and Monsoon couldn't make this new stuff remotely tolerable.
I haven't watched modern wrestling since about, oh, 2016.

Even as a child i have never liked outsiders in wrestling. You know 99% chance they will go over and that makes the actual wrestlers look weak/pathetic.
Do you class Ric Flair as a hall of famer who was involved in a main event. The match with him and Micheals in 08 was a featured match and one of, if not, the most emotionally charged matches of the night. Sometimes the main event doesn't go last.

Kenny omega claimed last night that him and Punk have been respectful towards each other this whole time, which throws the bucks and Ace Steele far under the bus lol
