I am in Florida , I can totally understand what you are saying. At this point I don't even follow politics or news. I found my mental health is more importaint. My AC broke couple weeks ago, so we have only one small window unit. It has been a straggle. I tried oil painting myself and really like watersoluable Artisian oil paints Cotman. I mean they not as fancy as some high end oil paints but very good for begginers no solvents needed, no bad or toxic smell. They only smell strong as lean seed oil when I first oped paints, for later use I can barely smell it even up close.
Oh noooo... hope you can get the AC repaired soon 😭 We went a bit with a single window unit and it was awful for the layout of our place - nowhere felt comfortable enough. I don't blame you for the mental health break from news. I had to limit myself to once a week at one point and I should probably return to that. I do like the idea of no strong smell and I could theoretically use a cheaper water mixable for the base layers that dry fast and then use my normal oils for upper layers, I think (that way, no wasted supplies besides solvent) 🤔 Appreciate the recommendation!
I absolutely know what you are feeling and it might sound selfish but I had to ignore all kind of news just so it won't affect me negatively. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the oil painting class, can't wait to see what you paint 🥰
It's not selfish - it's self preservation 😅 I try to focus only on what affects my family, friends, and community, but that has still been *a lot* lately. I realized I need to scale back to once a week news updates again for my own mental health. I know a lot of people that have to avoid entirely though and I get it. And thank you! I have shared assignments on Instagram but maybe I'll do a recap here once I can figure out reflective surfaces 😆
@@briwidmerart I like the way you see it for the longest time I thought I was the worst person ever for not caring about what's going on to other people 😅💔 and I like your solution maybe if I go back so social media I'll try checking the news once every now and then. Don't worry about the reflectiveness right now and just enjoy your class 😅🌺
@E4 Al-Abbasy Will do! And nah, everyone has their own interests and own capacity for handling the news and it's not fair to judge others for how much or how little they can consume in a given time period. Some days you can check in one the state of things but most days it's best to just relax with something that brings you joy 😊
I feel triggered by this video. My hubby woke me up at 4am yesterday to leave for work…..grr. Portrait looks good, even if it is spawned by dark thoughts and emotions. Edit: I can’t believe it’s hotter there in Florida then a Phoenix! It’s been low 90s all month with zero humidity. Not bragging just…..omg, how is summer so nice this year? 😂
Why are you like this, husbands? 😮💨 Technically it was only the mid-90s, but the heat index was super high. We need some rain to cool off a bit. Hope your summer stays nice! Also, thank you!
Skin utterly amazing as per usual for you but also the depth and detail on hair and flowy cape is *chefs kiss* also waist snatched af
Thank youuu 🥰 I should do more capes. And fabric studies in general. Gotta up my game more.
