The gameplay was still good in the end, but fuck me, the story got ruined so bad.

Well sort of, that event was just the starter for the following bad life events that slowly turned her into the type of person she became. But to think that incident would cause such huge domino effect - her writing shittalk on Jesamine’s grave bc of it is still funny 😭

Yeah, but she got banished to the streets for it. I don't love it, it reminds me of the Witcher 3's dlc "Blood and wine" where Syanna has the same motivation to hate her sister. Imo it's silly, nobody remains mad for decades.

That’s not even close to the reason for her distain for her sister. She and her mother were forced into poverty because her sister lied knowing that she’d be punished far more harshly than she would. The motivation is sound, you just lack the common sense to understand

What's wrong with the story? It's not the most interesting but it's perfectly coherent. Emily ruled her empire pretty badly due to inexperience, not having much good teaching and Corvo being rightfully a bit paranoid about others influencing her since they could have tried to run the kingdom by themselves through her. Delilah obtained a few allies among corrupt aristocrats and attempted a coup, and it's not like everyone in the country is on board with her, she bribed the captain of the guards, had all the loyal ones killed during the coup and the other leaders who are faithful to the throne didn't get much time to react to the new political situation before it was already resolved by Emily/Corvo.

Funnily enough, the Dishonored comic that follows Dishonored 2 has pretty much all the same problems. It opens with a man named Archibald holding a peaceful assembly, talking about how the people should have a say in how their city is run when the workers are the backbone of Dunwall, asking for elections and that having a single seat of power allowed Delilah to run amok. Emily makes some very poor arguments which Archibald refutes, then claims that Archibald is merely power-hungry and doesn't care for the people, which he isn't and he does. Corvo threatens to kill him, because Corvo likes killing people, and then Emily skulks off to do some cloak and dagger nonsense with Corvo instead of HER JOB, because being a good empress means shivving gang members in the slums.
They fall into a trap (bone charms that negate the Outsider's mark strapped with explosives), Corvo almost dies, Meanwhile, Archibald is captured by the new antagonist (Lualla Price, or in other words, nobody of consequence) and forced to...keep doing what he's doing, which is call for reform and fair elections. Brilliant. During one of his speeches, the City Watch arrive and threaten violence if they do not disband their PEACEFUL assembly. Archibald is forced to incite them to violence, despite the City Watch having already done his job for him. Despite Corvo warning her she's being baited into a trap like they just did to her yesterday, Emily tracks down Lualla and falls for THE SAME TRAP THAT SHE JUST FELL INTO A DAY AGO (minus the explosives because Ms. Nobody of Consequence is not intelligent). They fight, Emily wins because Ms. NoC decided to monologue.
After being imprisoned, Lualla states correctly that even with her own crimes, Emily's family has a trail of bodies just as long, and the only reason she's imprisoned and Emily isn't is because she won. Emily chooses to not kill her, which makes Archibald forget all the reasons why the monarchy was a bad thing and loses all of his remaining braincells, and starts a chant of "long live the crown", and everyone is forced to admit Emily is a good person. Corvo says she should have killed her, because Corvo likes killing people, and the story ends with the overall message being "believe in yourself" and nobody learns anything.

Except Emily losing an argument and skulking off to go kill people instead of doing her job is kind of a core component of her character? That’s the kind of person she is, someone who vents frustration by killing people.
Dialogue in Emily’s murder room - y’know, because all good Empresses have a *murder room* - indicates that even Corvo tells her that she needs to lay off the murder and start doing her job, but she doesn’t.
Which makes sense, literally every problem in Emily’s life has been solved by violence and the only person in her life that she trusts (because all the other ones are dead or betrayed her) _also_ solves all his problems with violence (and, yeah, probably does enjoy it).
She doesn’t think before she acts, she doesn’t do what’s best, she just does what she WANTS. When the Outsider gives her her powers, it doesn’t make her a silent and deadly assassin like Corvo, it doesn’t turn her into a stealth-centric planner like Billie, it turns her into a shadow monster that literally rips people in half. That’s her *blink* equivalent. Emily is at best a very dysfunctional and callous person and at worst an actual sadistic psychopath (I mean just look at some of her kill animations). It’s not a mistake that both her and her dad have a skill called ‘bloodlust’.
Yeah all the plot stuff is a little bleh, I haven’t read the thing, but just from this short overview that actually doesn’t sound like a bad characterisation of Emily Kaldwin.

Game has it's problems and the main villian is obviously weak, so is the beginning part. But I feel like you bash the game too hard with your humor, which largely consists of nitcpicking stuff that is most definetely okay.
Jindosh, for example. A character who has sound internal logic and is tied into the game well enough. He's a prick and a narcissist because of his perceived genius. Of course he's not gonna kill the player, Jindosh believes his puzzle house and automatons are unmatched, so the player stands no chance. And there is no issue here. Who he is as a chatacter is prepresented in his level and a little bit of flavour text when he smirks at you in a cutscenes.
Saying that the puzzle house is ruined by the presence of Jindosh is just... incorrect. If it's a joke, then it's not made clear enough. If it's a real take, then I can't understand it's validness.
And the whole video has a lot of small points like this.

8 people had the Outsider's Mark during D1. But you're wrong about a few here
Corvo has the mark ofc, but no longer during the events of D2.
Emily actively has the mark until DotO
The Empress Jessamine Kaldwin never had the mark
Granny Rags had the mark, and a power known as Apprentice, which gave the Torturer powers, both in D1. Her hand was mummified before D2 and Paolo uses it for the Escape power.
      Delilah Copperspoon is marked
The Lonely Rat Boy from 'Tales from Dunwall' is marked.
Billie Lurk (the black woman I assume you mention) is not marked, but gets her powers either from Daud/Delilah's Arcane Bond, or from the Outsider's Void Artifacts (ultimately, she gets powers from Voidrite)
An Unnamed Woman in a book in D1 had the mark, and had a power which could unlock doors and windows.
Daud has the mark, and uses Arcane Bond to empower his Whalers.
The final marked person is unknown currently. And probably never will be known, but it is possible that it is an unnamed servant maid, according to the Heart's quote on a noble in D1
