I wish I could like this more than once. I was a child abuse victim myself, and had been suicidal at times as a result, so I know exactly what Chester went through. Two of my biggest musical influences both committed suicide within a month of each other. RIP Chris Cornell & Chester Bennington. You both will be missed.

For me this song isn't about any relationships, like breaking up with boyfriends or girlfriends.
This song is obviously about, his broken trust. To his parents, to the society. All those dreadful things, he has been through when he was a child (sexual abuse).
That he doesn't want to commit the same faults again.(he has been addicted to alcohol as well)
In my personaly opinion this song reminds me of a friend, who betrayed me, and how it really hurt me. That I can't trust her anymore. How I lost my faith to even trust anybody.

This song right here is the biggest emotional song for me. From late 2014-2015 was the toughest years of my life but 2015 was the most painful year for me because that's the year I lost my older brother my relationship went down hill and I gave up on life. Everything I did I gave up and wanted to give up. Everytime I hear this song I get emotional and start to cry abit. Now hearing about Chester hanging himself was very big blow to the group and rock music industry. RIP Chester you are a Legend and Legends never die.

Don't give up on him! Get a professional shrink involved! Most people can't fix themselves. I am a rare circumstance. I'm here for anyone who needs help and knowledge to gain understanding.
