    So I'm in electrical school. Learning alot and wired alot. Just we get a sheet of where all the boxes go then we do our cabel runs. From the looks of this they not looking at sheets. So does the electrician choose the box placement or do they have an electrical plan.

      standard is 4ft or 48 inches for switches and 18 inches for outlets 16 in some places.

      @@yulles225 yup I remember taking a test about a minimum distance there would be for outlets. I remember somthing like 6 feet apart or 12 feet from each outlet witch is the same thing. But isn't there still an electrical plan? I may sound dumb rn I'm just a student and this summer I'm going in as a intern so I'm still learning.(edit) obviously when I say outlet I mean recepticals. Just forgot to use proper terminology

      @@KodaBearOfficial Yea the 6/12 rule max distance of 12ft between outlets and one within 6ft of a door on each side.

      @@yulles225 yeah I'm excited. I should have a year of electrical experience by summer with good teacher recommendations so I should get the summer job.
