if you notice there is one girl (with the wavy black hair) which seems to be the protagonist here. she is being followed and tormented by the other girls. this basically is her descent to madness since she succumbed from their torture
When I saw the MV i had a theory. While reading the comments on the MV it made it more real to me that my theory was kind of right. The girl with the black wavy hair is being tortured with visions of herself dying the way the other girls did. When they're seen roaming around her with white sheets it's pretty obvious that they girls are ghosts/demons. She starts going mad from the visions until at the end they really do kill her with the swinging axe. She doesn't really react nor resist because she thinks is just another illusion.
Nature is the most unpredictable girl group in Kpop. The debuted with the very cutesy and innocent Allegro Cantabile. They went want excessively light to excessively dark.
so basically the black hair girl (Chaebin) is the protagonist and the rest of the members are ghost trying to kill her, in the way they died to make her suffer so each of them takes turns and every time Chaebin dies, she comes back to life to get killed by the rest of the members until all of them have done it, which is way further and further into the mv you can see her slowly losing hope and eventually loses her sanity cuz she knows what going to happen next 2:24 could represent her going in a loop and not being able to get out which is probably why she was looking for an exit in the earlier scene 1st girl (Sohee) that meets up with Chaebin 2:55. Sohee died drowning in a tub and so she drowns Chaebin 3:03 Uchae seems to be calming her before her death? 3:09 Sunshine seems to be following Chaebin around to trap her somewhere to kill her, which is why they are in the room together 3:26 next Chaebin gets a stab in the eyes with scissors, I can't really see which member did it tho but in the next scene, that's why she has a bandage over her eyes cuz she became blind as you said, and you may have not noticed but there is another girl in the closet, watching Chaebin so she can kill her next 3:41 next scene, you can see Chaebin sleeping in the bed of flowers which Uchae left her on, which then leads to Sunshine (the girl who was alone in the room with her earlier) choking Chaebin to death in her sleep after a bit the ghost aka the members trap Chaebin so she can't get out and she repeatedly keeps getting killed and coming back and then you see at 4:26, so has lost her sanity trying to keep calm which is why her face looks dead inside and finally, she's dead after the last member kills her with an axe to the face. this is just a little summary I might have missed some things but I hope I explained it well
I really love the song and the mv. In my opinion the mv instead of causing me fear, makes me like it and for me it is fascinating, it is something different from the comebacks that have been in kpop during this year, since most are based on highlighting good scenarios, the rap, it should be moving music, but this song, unlike that, is calmer and with a catchy rhythm without being so noisy, it surrounds you and the girls' vocals are heard so clearly without having to mark or cover them as much, it is a song which is so easy to listen to, so good for the ear, because it envelops you little by little and the mv is completely different due to its concept. This is one of the best comebacks so far this year, I hope this helps the recognition of the girls. There are a lot of groups in kpop that are not that well known and really good. Koreans are definitely falling asleep on the talents of those groups, it's a shame.
My MV theory: That girl with black hair is the "main character" here. She's being haunted by 5 ghosts. They are showing her how they died at first one of them is sitting in a bathtub alone, but then, girl with black hair is sitting there as well. She's also being comforted by one of them on a flower bed , when later someone is being strangled on it . We can also confirm that because of the scene, where main character becomes blind by the scissors that one of the ghosts threw at her face. But later on, she wasn't the one that was injured. It was because she was watching only a part of someone elses memory. With all these stories, she doesn't know what's real, and what's not (the scene with empty chairs), she feels like someone is pointing a knife at her and she goes crazy. At The end, she also gets murdered by one of them. She doesn't resist or anything, because she thinks that its Just another ilussion.
Your theory gave me goosebumps! But I think the same. I've listened to this song and watched the mv so many times and still get goosebumps especially when chaebin part comes in with her expression. Just wow.
Actually... The "ghost" are her multiple personalities... I think you should check out the movie - THE TALE OF TWO SISTERS to make more sense. The music video is based on this movie!
I think it's a new spin on a horror concept. like dreamcatcher has their own way of using horror in their mvs, red velvet does too and this is a new type. i hope it becomes more common
We need some darkness or horror concepts in Kpop. I hope NATURE can continue going this unique route. I will definitely stan forever if they continue producing this level of art
Dreamcather do dark theme but the super natural hurt them but Nature do very dark theme and they hurt each other and feels like rusian rollete and devil but on in with BTS will look like
I'm probably hella late, but if you're interested in more horror concepts to this extremity there is two I can name off the bat. Voodoo Doll by VIXX and Blossom Tears by Leo (coincidentally a member of VIXX) x Lyn. Voodoo Doll has a censored and uncensored version, but I believe Blossom Tears managed to get away with not being censored due to it being more implication than straight gore (ignoring the ending of the video haha)
Oh my god, I nearly forgot some more recent ones! Can't You See Me by TXT has very heavy imagery referencing to horror elements, and I can't forget my ult group Enhypen with their vampire concept. Drunk-Dazed by Enhypen is probably the more blunt song about its horror themes with lyrics and imagery referencing to them losing their humanity. Given-Taken is a lot lighter in its themes, but has a few references anyway.
I much prefer the performance video where they dance and sing the song. Beautifully filmed and their performance is a hundred percent superb. I ❤ love this song too.
I love this song and this version of the MV is super crazy!! Can you react to "Weeekly - Tag Me"? They are a new girl group under PlayM Entertainment (Apink and Victon's agency). This is the first new girl group of this agency in 10 years (since Apink's debut) and they might win the "rookie of the year" awards! This is their debut. The music video was released yesterday and it has 2.6 million views already in 1 day. Amazing numbers for a new group! They're so talented and the music video is great! They should be a top group in the Kpop scene soon. Have a nice day!
Loha one of Nature's members is a Blink. I assume that's why people think it's newsworthy. She's not in this comeback though and is on hiatus for health reasons unfortunately.
I really like how different it is, how scary. Let's have more monstrous girls in Kpop!
''I don't like scissors''
Me:
*laughs in lesbian*
That's exactly what I thought! I'M SCREAMING😍🤩😂!
OMG SAME.
YOU DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH I'M SMACKING MY DESK AT THIS JOKE
I thought exacly the same lmao

Can we talk about the choreography? They literally came for our neck. Or eye
the mv disturbing but aesthetically beautiful. 10/10 been listening to this song with my cult for weeks

At 3:26 I think the member who dropped the scissors is Saebom because of the blonde hair

Because the was standing in front of the axe i think she killed herself..

This kind of reminds me of “corpse party”, especially the scissors memory thing
