I will tell you why someone would go if their opponent jumped! When you are sitting on the line getting ready to race there are so many more things to pay attention too other than your opponent, And secondly some drivers get tunnel vision blocking everything else out except for the starter!
CTS-V driver was more than willing to play those games that the foxbody was wanting to play lol. Good on him for laying it down during the race and during that victory shred

The Cadillac CTS-V Wagon is one of the greatest American cars ever made! Sad that it was so short lived but when i get the rare occasion of seeing one it always makes me smile and giggle like a little kid! 😬
That Cadillac had less grip and spun over 200ft, still pulled after the mustang creeped up from a better launch. at the strip the Cadillac is calling it all day long. Plus you know for a fact that fox is pushing north of 600whp. A 408 carbed build like that always has a bare minimum of 600wheel.

I was definitely going for the stang!!! This match basically came down to who was first to jump off the line then there was no catching up and they were equally matched enough to not need any lengths just heads up all the way!! Good video!!

I don't know about anyone else, but to me everytime that wagon finally started to hook it would pull and keep pulling on the foxbody. Just my observation
came across a manual 6 speed CTS-V wagon last week, and that's in the Netherlands incredibly rare in the US but here... I was blown away when I asked the owner if it was manual!
On gas I think it could. But if he wasn't spraying it (and it didn't look like he was. No nitrous purge plus the way he spoke about it) then no it won't run a high 8. I was hoping that he was gonna purge the nitrous and use it in the last race.

Man back in the day my buddy had a stock LX notch gutted with a Vortec and a few mods...made about 500hp. Was the coolest thing in the world at the time. He passed away in his early thirties gone to soon.

CTSv was actually faster once that guy figured out how to drag race it better. I was not expecting that tbh, after seeing Cooper's CTSv fail over and over again at the stip, always something breaking, seem like theyre not really meant for drag. This guy must have a better setup.
