if you look at the handle of the siligun there is a metal pin attached to the inside that pulls out it's for puncturing the seal on the tube. or reaming dried up silicone ( freeze frame at 1:10 )
I was thinking the same thing...BOTH of them look for it and can not find the metal pin in the handle...the guy on the left (?Eric?) even looks right at it and nothing !
I just received mine today, found the pin and came back to comment. I can see how someone might mistake it for some spring mechanism. It’s not as convenient as some puncture pins but at least it’s there.
What is the problem pulling the tube out and re inserting it again so you can reposition the tip. It wont hurt the tube with a few slits, the caulk will still come out.
I have a Ryobi electric caulk gun, which I originally thought was the stupidest, laziest idea ever. I mean, come on! You can't squeeze a handle to get the caulk out? Then I bought three dozen tubes for a project - liquid nails and caulk - and all of a sudden this was the best tool ever invented. It does a really good job of controlling the flow and when you release the trigger it immediately stops pressure on the tube - no streams of caulk-snot dribbling off the end...
I'm not sure if it's just that you had a different model or iteration, but I watched another video about the siligun and the piercer was hidden in the handle.
Brilliant design seen it work looks like a step forward BUT ! why for gods sake make it out of cheap crappy plastic?? By all accounts its not that cheap? Make the damn thing out of metal ,manufacturers stop making cheap plastic CRAP!!

1:16 - "I think it's interesting how that goes from a big caulk to a little caulk."

I love this little gun! Especially that you dont have to disengage anything to stop the flow. Release trigger-flow stops.

Chris Caulk brought me here

Well played, gentlemen. lol
Those orange ones are notorious for pinching your hands. I always cut the tip down. I'm buying one.
Thank you guys Amazing video I have 2 of them over monthes working Amazing
i want to recommend one screwdriver to you for a review, what should i do
Cool to see some innovation with a caulk Gun
Cant turn the tip, thats a big downfall

Yes, we found that out. Then lost it lol
I use mine everyday for sealing shower systems I love it
I'm wondering if they make a caulk gun that you can load for specific purposes
That caulking gun works great for a few tubes then the grip tape that advances the tube wears out and it won't advance anymore.
Thanks for your information 👍🙂and 👍video 📹👍I appreciate you guys
Thanks for watching!
I wouldn't use this full time, but Theres a few tight places that really suck to reach with a full size gun where this would be perfect
The best caulk gun is the Sherwin Williams Ergotech Dripless caulk gun. I've wasted so much money with the HD and Lowes caulk guns
Have you tried the Ryobi caulk gun?
I dont think so
Piercer is in the handle.......
Late April Fools prank? I can't believe you played that whole thing straight. (badum)
Cut your tip after it is in!
The piercer is in the bottom of the handle
Nah I gotta old-school Wolfcraft all metal compact caulk gun just like that but cooler 🤣
so many puns!!! :-)
That was uncomfortable 😳
Let people know where they can buy 1 or2 and not Amazon they charge too much.

Great idea but it's made of plastic. Toys are made of plastic...
hahahaha
There is an 'L' in caulk - just sayin'.
Chicago accents I guess
