You did a great job covering the story, and interviewed so many people to help us understand every aspect. You’re a great reporter, with a kind heart. Thank you so much for sharing this story.
My deepest condolences goes to Qandeel's family. Years may have passed since her death but I want them to know that someone overseas who have seen this documentary is also grieving for the death of their precious girl. 😭😭😭 I'm in tears when their lawyer said at the end that not even a single one bother to pay respect to her family. I think i found ppl snatching the scarf of a women rather then placing on the head of the women either the women is pure or not pure the society will always take advantage of women hood.
Seven features of failed Islamic states: 1. Restrictions on the free flow of information 2. The subjugation of women 3. Inability to accept responsibility for individual or collective failure 4. Honour killing in islam is haraam. It is basically murder. Her acts were shameful but nobody in the world had any right to kill her. Only Allah swt has the right to punish as he wills.
Sofia Syedah Why does only Islam do the honour killing then? *Islam seriously needs to be updated.* wasn't there a Muslim called Ahmad who updated Islam? oh Pakistan made Ahmadiyya Muslims illegal?
Too true Sofia syedah half the people including this reporter keeps trying to justify that whatever she was doing to earn a living or just doing with her life in general was right and was the only option she had to come out of poverty and the other half says that all that she was doing was really bad. What we don’t understand is that NO ONE can judge her for what she did except ALLAH. We can only judge the act of honour killing as being wrong that’s all! The word does not even exist in Islam! People are really ignorant these days.
@phil Dobson Lol where did u read that? Off the internet? Or did u learn that off a tv documentary? Islam is not the LAW or the CULTURE, it’s a RELIGION. Islam is limited to the Holy Quran AND NOWHERE IS THERE ANY MENTION OF HONOUR KILLING OR SOMETHING EVEN REMOTELY LIKE IT. If MEN have made up their own laws and culture to SUIT THEMSELVES then DONT BLAME ISLAM. That’s the biggest mistake that the world is making right now! People in a predominantly Muslim nation or anywhere for that matter so much as look at someone the wrong way and OFCOURSE it’s ISLAM TELLING THEM TO DO IT. Your logic is so twisted. Ofcourse this is the biggest agenda on the market these days. Spread hate against Islam and Muslims and eradicate them from the face of this earth.
trust me they would it's all good in front of camera but behind it we know what happens because we dont have that much freedom ,our choice of fashion ,our opinion nothing matters

Stories like these should come out and make us re-examine our mindset towards women in society. Qandeel is definitely an outspoken, dignified woman. She went beyond the sanctions imposed by society and led her life the way she wanted it to. This documentary has significantly reflected on the mindset of men in Pakistani society. Particularly, the cleric and the passport official who said that women who lives like Qandeel will meet death as a penalty or that women at all times be concerned about how the society might think. If we as women always thought about what the society thought we would never have had received education or been given citizenship. May there be greater change in Pakistani Society and more hope for Pakistani women from the judicial system.
Drake Savage I'm not kidding and I firmly stand by what I have said. Qandeel Baloch was and is a respectable women and she through her career brought out the male centred and misogynistic biases that prevails in society. You, my friend are living in your fantasies of hell and heaven. Please wake up and have a more realistic view of life.
Yes she did that. The point to be noted is, she did it for online viewers which is her complete right under freedom of expression. Agree/Disagree ing to those videos is your personal opinion and you have the absolute right to NOT watch those videos. But saying that she is a pervert and other comments on her character is symptomatic of a society that wants to control its women. It is this aspect that Qandeel was fighting against- control of women by men in society. Because of her, we know that the clerics are not so righteous as they seem and their role and power must be scrutinised.
THEY ARE NOW BECAUSE OF THE MASSIVE INFLUX OF MUSLIMS TO THE UK! THEY WANT TO BRING THEIR INSANE TRADITIONS WITH THEM AND IT SHOULD BE THE FIRST THING THAT PREVENTS THEM FROM ENTERING A COUNTRY THAT DOESN'T LIVE LIKE THAT! It's really sad to see that Pakistan has not progressed as a nation. I've even noticed this with Pakistani's living abroad. Many just don't want to move forward from the culture they had back home, and when a woman, like Qandeel does so, they are questioned to the point where they have to lose their self worth thanks to society's backdated views. I really hope her story has inspired other Pakistani women, particularly to women on a global scale to stand up for their rights, and let them own their selves. Rest in peace, the epitome of femininity - the ever so gorgeous Qandeel Baloch.
RIP Qandeel, we call ourselves a Muslims, yet everyone used and abused Qandeel, and the last straw was her own brother killing her. This is Pakistan, use and abuse the girl and when it comes to your own doorstep , be a good Muslim. Pathetic
It’s not just about Pakistan or Muslims. A Girl was killed by her Brother just because Society was not enough Open-Minded to handle the Bold and Brave personality of a Woman. Honour Killing is an International Issue which many countries are suffering from, Qandeel was a Celebrity that’s why media highlighted this, else thousands of girls have been killed in the name of honour across the world on regular basis. We need to bring the much needed change in ourselves instead of blaming the society, because we are also the party of the same society in same way or the other. Instead of judging What is Wrong or What is Right let’s focus on making a world more peaceful.
SHIKHRANI how is something that is only done by extreme religious people everybody's fault? To solve a problem we have to know the truth and educate these religious man that thousands of years of religious repression hasn't stopped people feeling good when they are found attractive, they should try it, finding other people attractive that is. In the sixties rock band song about All You Need Is Love well that love comes from within the person who is doing the loving and only people who love other living things feel that love. People who say they love only God are lying and should think about what God is going to say to them when they wasted their life not loving anybody

iffat shabi No, defamation is making a false allegation about someone. For example, saying that a pop star embezzled £70000 from his record label to pay for a gambling addiction, when it was false.
I shed tears for her. She did not deserve death for trying to be someone in life. Every person has the right to express themselves the way they want to.
From India/;- A very touching documentary. Apparently made out of real feelings an empathy for Qandeel. Though , I am sure , the men in Pakistan must not be bigoted , and these people shown here are an exception. In my country , there are a few places in Northern states where honour killing was done few years back. The south East Asian Communities also practiced Sati a hundred years back. Where does the solution lie? so that another qandeel does not happen anywhere in Pakistan or those villages in Haryana.

There are lots of Quandeel in the country but you haven't let them move forward, thats why i came. 🙏 I deeply respect the reporter and her courage to cover this story and i also respect the lawyer 's openness on her thoughts.
Good on you for making this documentary!!
He was adamant that he was innocent, as he threatens with “anyone who wants to against the clergy should remember what happened to Qandeel” that was a threat, not a warning.
Michelle Homan That was definitely a threat!! He looks like a sleaze bag and is an ugly shit who will end up in hell. He was hoping for action that night in the hotel but because he was so ugly looking, Qandeel would have turned him away. I wished Qandeel would have never met up with that ugly piece of shit in the hotel room... She probably would still be alive now...
She was so charming...
Yes fuck the mufti clergy..... I'm from Syria and I'm so sad that she gone this way...
I thought the same thing
Yup!!! Caught that threat too 😳
The sad part is that the man that expose her don't really feel bad and they'll do it again to the next girl
Yes inshallah we will expose and destroy vulgarity by its roots😊

You’re not really stopping anything and the only thing you’re succeeding in, is showing the world how ignorant and savage your culture and religion is.
Try to change the poverty level and stop worrying about what other people do with their bodies.
I just want to really give props to the reporter and Qandeel for their bravery. Qandeel, for going after her dreams against all odds in a society like hers. The reporter for going after the truth and being so passionate against the risks.
OMG I feel so sad for her parents 😭 her father is so broken
Females and males are not judged differently by God.
One of the most true statements I've ever read on RUclips.
Nobody has yet proven that a god exists
Btw Islam is inherently evil. Muhammmad was a warlord that massacred over 600 jews of Banu Qurayza, sold their women as sex slaves he himself a rapist of 9 year old Ayesha
Bt not in islam...islam is just disgusting religion....where females are used as sex slave...
Yes. They are equally judged and accounted for their deeds
Qandeel's family clearly loved her. Her father is a gentle soul, you can tell from his eyes, and is quietly raging against his other son.
Sister what is the ethnicity of Sadia khan the actress of khuda and mohobbat season 1 ? Is she jutt? Or rajput? Or pathan?
Yesh they loved her for the money she brought in......they forgave their son and that gave him liberty....are you insane......screw his family her brother....he deserves to rott in hell
Her father is a lovely man,,I seen a doc one time where he said he hopes his son is given the death penalty as he is the one who dishonoured the family not Qandeel
There's lots of tears in my eyes. It's very sad that she was murdered by her own brother, I feel so sorry for her parents it must be so hard to bare her loss.

It's a taboo in Islam and Pakistan culture. It's not okay to strip online. But the real problem is that she got murdered

Such a tragic story 😢 I’m really glad, the parliament changed the law, on honor killings, and that they cannot be freed, if the family forgives them. You did a great job covering the story, and interviewed so many people to help us understand every aspect. You’re a great reporter, with a kind heart. Thank you so much for sharing this story.

Seven features of failed Islamic states:
1. Restrictions on the free flow of information
2. The subjugation of women
3. Inability to accept responsibility for
individual or collective failure
4. The extended family or clan as the basic
unit of organization
5. Domination by a restrictive religion
6. A low valuation on education
7. Low prestige assigned to work

Islam is the freaking religon, it doesn't need an update their CULTURE and LAWS needs an update jesus christ
Chidarie In an Islamic country Islam is the law, Islam is the culture, *Islam needs to be updated*
Spread hate against Islam and Muslims and eradicate them from the face of this earth.

because we dont have that much freedom ,our choice of fashion ,our opinion nothing matters
@Brittany Gail-Regula yea ofcourse why would they kill her for honour or anything because she was a kind of good source of money,
Wat nonsense?? He is stated as a muslim figure and u ask a lady to come to ur hotel room which is occupied by juz the 2 and datbis wrong. As a muslim, he can only touch a woman if she is a muhrim(related by blood) if not den its called HARAM unless he is helping the woman
And too much respect for this journalist woman 👏
I cannot believe that in 2019 you still have honor killings!
"You have the paparazzi in Britain". Yeah, but british women don't get "honour killed"... What kind of logic is this guy using??
Typical Muslim Madarsa logic.
It happening in Britain now too. The insane capitulation to Islam. Honour killings are being ignored for the sake of political correctness.
ACID ATTACKS,KNIFE ATTACKS AND OF COURSE GOOD OLE FASHIONED HONOR KILLINGS. THIS IS WHY AMERICA DOE NOT WANT THIS TYPE OF BELIEF SYSTEM TO COME IN.
@Mubasher Shahzad dude be respectful. Having no better arguments, where are you from? I hope not Pakistan. Shame on you for using those words .
RIP Qandeel, we call ourselves a Muslims, yet everyone used and abused Qandeel, and the last straw was her own brother killing her. This is Pakistan, use and abuse the girl and when it comes to your own doorstep , be a good Muslim.
Pathetic
Very true, in Pakistan girls have no rights . Girls can be used and abused by her own family and no laws.
Thank you Hani Taha for covering this story the way you did. May she Rest In Peace 🙏😭
Big salute for covering such stories
SHIKHRANI
SHIKHRANI how is something that is only done by extreme religious people everybody's fault? To solve a problem we have to know the truth and educate these religious man that thousands of years of religious repression hasn't stopped people feeling good when they are found attractive, they should try it, finding other people attractive that is. In the sixties rock band song about All You Need Is Love well that love comes from within the person who is doing the loving and only people who love other living things feel that love. People who say they love only God are lying and should think about what God is going to say to them when they wasted their life not loving anybody
0oldisbest People with mentality like yours played a crucial role in her murder. From a small village to Pakistan's biggest social media sensation was not a easy journey. "Revealing passport information" "personal details"..isn't it defamation??!!
iffat shabi No, defamation is making a false allegation about someone. For example, saying that a pop star embezzled £70000 from his record label to pay for a gambling addiction, when it was false.

I can’t imagine being bothered by my sister’s clothing or behavior and thinking that killing her is an acceptable excuse and not feel the worse kind of shame for being so weak.
