Honestly did not expect to love this movie this much! The romance and chemistry felt so real and made me feel all warm inside AND don’t get me started on the musiccc! I have the playlist on repeat ever since I watched this movie. I first heard Nicholas Galitzine sing when I watched the Cinderella movie with Camila Cabello and I’ve been in love since. This is a must watch for all the romantics out there!

Also the painting that makes her feel “Everything”, that Hayes purchases for her, is used in the last visit they have before he leaves, indicated by the changing lights in the film. This also significant to reference their first meeting in the art studio.

I saw this advertised as an upcoming film on Amazon. I'm approaching 40 and a single mom and so this really gave me something to connect with from the start. I didn't even know it was from a book, so I went into this with fresh eyes. I thought the movie pace was good in the beginning, but feel it fell of with them having a "regular" relationship at the end because everything happened really fast and I feel the characters weren't given enough space to explore this changing landscape. Having just 15 more minutes to explore this would have been great. I loved the ending though, to me it was perfect and it leaves things open and to the imagination of the viewer.
The chemistry between the leads was truly amazing and they really connected well. I would have liked to see Nicholas interacting more with the daughter because with single moms the kids are part of the package deal. Again, this is where things could have been explored more with the characters, especially with how close the mother and daughter are.

When he left his watch with her for the first time, I took it to mean "Solene, you have my heart. As long as you keep this watch, you will have my heart. My heart like this watch is with you. Take care of my watch as you would my heart." The only times she gives it back to him is when she wants to break up.

I liked this movie! What I don’t understand is people going eww/yuck, yes she is older, big deal!, if he was 14 and she was 30 it would definitely not be right. He is an independent 24 year old who knows what he wants, when they split the daughter encouraged them to get back together. I have seen many many movies where the man is 20, 30 anywhere up to 60/70 years older yet I don’t see a lot of criticism?

Ummmm… if you’re a parent, dating someone who is closer to your kids age is gross to me, regardless of gender.

The characters and the backstory were amazing with some sense of reality in them( Not completely though). The characters in the show especially showed some great character development, especially solène. The way she juggles between her love life and family life was so good. I loved how at no point she leaves or forgets about her daughter, and takes the best possible decison for her.
The little scene in the end was a perfect ending for all of us who love complete closure in a movie/series.
BUT, This show had a few things that could have been tweaked to make it a little better. First off, though there was emotion in the show, I feel that it could have been better displayed. The sad scenes seemed pretty plain and generic. I would have prefered more emotional scenes.
Also, I would have LOVED seeing Daniel's face when he was dumped by his new wife. It would have been the most satisfying thing ever (Pls amazon release a small clip displaying it). He was the most hypocritical and annoying character in the show. He somehow always found a way to make my blood boil.
These however are minor issues and overall the movie would be perfect to watch is you're looking for a light hearted rom-com (Rom-mov??)

Older women and younger “adult” men create an incredibly, amazing, passionate, loving connection.
The relationship between the two is like no other! Unfortunately society can tear the relationship apart

YES! 100% ....and many women are super nasty toward the one who has a younger man in her life.

I obviously loved the book more. The book makes them into two verryyyy real people. You have so many pages to read and understand each character and why they fit so well together.
The movie.. Definitely had to rush that process. I enjoy the soundtrack BUT I feel they spent too much time showing the band sing. Felt like they were promoting the fake band than focusing on the people. I'm also not one for montage scenes that skip big areas because we lost so much in those moments. In the book those little scenes really meant something to the characters and helped show the impact it would have to the storyline
The acting was really good! I just wish you actually got to feel character chemistry more... it was just all rushed.
Still enjoyed it for what it was (:
(4 stars because I like the two leads)

I would have liked for it to be longer, maybe like a series with as many episodes as possible to go over more of their connection, more on the timeframe they toured together, were together at her house and total relationship timeframe. Plus I never would have left him ever! When he said this is where you say you feel some of those things, I would have said I feel all of those things. He explained enough to make sense of what his friends were saying by the pool. I would not have left. I wouldn't have left him in the end either. They were so happy together and that kind of love comes once in a lifetime. Sometimes never.

Cute movie if you didn't read the book. If you read the book you'll notice ALOT of changes. I don't understand why make a movie but change so much about it. His age, her daughters age, where they met, her house. The five years later?

Its very rare that movie is better than book but in this cas it is. I didn’t like the book at all and all of my friends as well. We were very impressed that they made such romantic and beautiful movie from “that” book.

Storyline was good. I’m going to read the book. Reviews talking about the book say it’s much deeper than the movie. I felt Anne Hathaway tried too hard…didn’t find her character portrayal believable. The lead actor was good, very handsome.

honestly I find the book much worse, the relationship between Solene and Hayes in the book is alot more toxic and more driven by lust rather than love, Hayes was also younger so their age gap was even bigger. Reading the book it's obvious that they weren't able to make their relationship work. But I think they made the relationship between Solene & Hayes less toxic and more grounded and mature and wholesome, and more convincing and genuine, I can believe that they actually love each other and will be able to make their relationship work in the movie. I also find the characters alot more likable in the movie.

Oh, the movie is soooo much better than the book. I was disapointed with the book and at the same time very impresed how they made such beautiful movie from that reference. I throw the book in rubish strigh afer reading, which I have never done before.

I honestly didn’t like the 5 year gap, like hello you meet in the same location???
I’m not the same person who I was yesterday

    • @iamlinda100
      @iamlinda100 10 дней назад

they might not be exactly the same people as they were 5 years ago and Hayes has definitely grown older and more mature, but they still love each other, the 5 year gap did not change their feelings for each other, and meeting at Solene's gallery just made sense because he knew she would be there.

Could we be living in reverse? This scenario feels like a movie we would have watched 20 years ago. A hot, stress-free teenage mom having affairs with young celebrities? It's charming, but unrealistic in today's society!!! There is room for improvement! I was expecting an unforgettable story but instead I easily envision the next chapter at each phase of the story I'm disappointed and can only commend the cast. #singlemom #stillbelieveinlove

cute movie- every middle aged womans wet dream ... but the whole refrigerator bit should have been cut . Food does not spoil within a day - or 2 days . or even 3 if you don't keep opening the door. So what she and her daughter eating that morning - or the night before ? Did they just root around the cupboards for food like a couple of dirty raccoons ?

It was okay but to me lacked any connection between two people that were supposedly really into each other. Also her daughter looked to old for her age. I just watched it but really didn't keep me entertained, found it slightly boring.
