  • Hello My lovelies, So this video is just to address a comment I got on one of my recent video. I decided to address this here just to bring some perspective to my work and why I do things the way I do. The comments if you are interested in reading them are in the video attached below. Let me know what you think. Thank you 🥰🥰

People are so crazy, it doesn't matter how you hold your yarn. No one way is wrong, we do what is comfortable. You are a great teacher

I remember when this happened. I was stunned by the aggressive, persistent nature of her comments. They were completely off base and uncalled for. Admittedly I haven’t seen the way you wrap your yarn before, but I would never say you were doing it wrong.
I’d venture to say this person had other issues unrelated to your style of crocheting and you simply became her target. All the best to you and continued success on your channel. 🦋

Thank you so much. I have never had anyone bring this up as a concern before and I have created over 250 videos. I wish her all the best

My great grandma was also punished for using her left hand. They’d hit it with a ruler, now she can use both for different things. I remember hearing that and thinking it was so ridiculous and horrible.
People like to assume the only way they’ve seen things done is the universally correct way, it’s very small minded.
It’s also super ableist to try to make everyone do everything the same way.
Good for you for doing things the way that works best for you👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💜

It was just horrible and as I kid I terrified to see that and how much they struggled to change their way of doing things left handed. Thank you 🙏

Bless you for your wonderful teaching style. I couldn't find anything to complain about. I liked how you did things and was happy to learn new ways that could be easier for me. I'm impressed that you had commented how left handers could do things, as I am left handed. Yes please do these kind of videos where you answer questions. Or a work in progress (WIP) where everybody crochet along with you. You are such a gracious person. I'm sorry you had to deal with such a person who would be so unkind. Unfortunately, there are those kind of people. We can't do anything about it. You are a person who comes from love, it is obvious. I guess we just have to see that those people come from misery. I feel sorry that those kind of people didn't have examples in their lives to teach them a better way, or chose not to listen to them.. Maybe that is their way because they are desperate for attention. Any way I am happy to tell you I am progressing well on my cardigan and so glad I can refer to your tutorial if I get confused. May you realize that 99.9999% of the comments are highly positive and feel the love. I'm 82 years old and have crafted all my life and so enjoyed being around other crafters because they have good spirits and enjoy the success and talent of others. I am primarily a knitter, although my lovely grand mother taught me to crochet when I was quite young. She used crochet thread and made doilies, trim to sew on sheets, towels and to really beautify ordinary things. I enjoy coming back to crochet again. Thank you for your talent in teaching as well as crocheting. Do you do other needle crafts as well as crochet?

Thank you so very much. Yes I realized a bit later that I was going back and forth with someone who was set on telling me I was wrong regardless. I am a happy person who want to make everyone smile but I don’t think she was coming from a good place. I will definitely do more videos like this. Thank you for following me and supporting me. I hope your Cardigan turns out beautifully. 🙏♥️🙏

Angel, you can not convince someone who does not want to be convinced. Let bygones be bygones. You are a gift to all of us who appreciate you and there are more of us than those who do not appreciate you. As I told you before, I love your style of teaching because you give us freedom to do things our own way. NO ONE HAS A RIGHT TO TELL YOU WHAT TO DO. You are gracious enough to receive constructive criticism.
I love your hands but I do love seeing your lovely face too. 😊 Keep doing what you do. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. God bless you, lovely lady.

I would appreciate a video talking about where you buy your yarns. I am in Canada and find it hard to find smaller weigh yarns without ordering on line, sight free. Your tutorials are done so well, I can't imagine anyone would have questions, but it would be interesting to hear. Thanks for your well explained and filmed videos.

please remember there are people who need to be seen and heard eventhough they dont have anything important to say. but i am curious you said you wrap your yarn to control your tension. i have a horrible problem with my tension. i crochet way to loose and comes out to big. i even go down a hook size and still the same problem do you think i should try this technique? i only wrap my yarn twice. i truly appreciate all the time you put into your channel. i just became a subscriber when i saw your granny square cardigan.

Thank you for your encouragement. Yes I control my tension this way. If you are learning how to do the same, it may help your tension as well. It’s a little bit of a unique way to do it though. Try it and see what works

It was not nice of her. Every one has her or his own way howto do tings.
Don't waste to much words and time to explain.
She, who wrote this, is not worth it.
