They're all bloody awful. But I remember enjoying a miniseries from the 80s or 90s inspired by the Poseidon adventure - about a bunch of people who'd been living in a sunken upturned ship for years.
@@ThreadBomb for the time that sounds like it must have came out pretty bad lol but the premise does have a pretty interesting sound to it. I might have to see if i can find this later too check out a little.
I honestly think this is funnier than the new season of MST3K. Jonah does an okay job, but nobody can replace Mike. And the new girl can't hold a candle to Pearl. Just my own subjective opinion, though.
uh oh spaghettios! (stickin' around reference? if so. even better.) I love u and ur channel. tbh when I hear ur intro I tend to sing along without even thinking of it. You have turned me on to so many good bad movies!!! thx for everything! Once I'm not living paycheque to paycheque, I'm gonna be throwing my money at you.. bad news is... I've been poor for over a decade... it might be another decade til I figure out this whole budgeting idea :P
"Um sir? Your pie is in fire!" It's that kind of dry humor I absolutely love in your videos =) Another great video! You really did this movie justice. Also, Merry Christmas sir. I'm a little early but what the heck.
your videos are very addictive and well done. thanks and keep it up! its winter here in Canada and my job is boring. i need something to keep me going hahahah
Austin Reale dude. it takes a single guy 100+ hours to make a vid this quality... I'm pretty sure our friend here is a legit one Man show - triple threat -> writing + voice + humour multiply that by his personal interest on the subject... and we have the best good bad movie show 😲😎
My friend... I said it once and I will say it again. You should star in MST3K. I saw the episode they did on this movie and it was funny as all hell. But not nearly as funny as 5 minutes of you riffing on this masterpiece. So go now. Get yourself a robot body and bring joy to the world.
He could be Cecil, the post-apocalyptic cowboy cyborg android robot from the planet X90667 from the year 2037... Because who needs logic? :P (but seriously though, I 100% agree with joining MST3K)
I never thought that both Mia Farrow and Rock Hudson ever starred in a New World picture lmao, LOL at flaming diabetes, and Sunny Bono joke lmao, I never once heard about this movie, great video!
I remember this movie from the days when the Sunday newspapers ran full-sized movie ads and movies like this would have thumbnail-sized ads without production credits on Wednesday. For some reason, I'd always assumed this movie only had stock avalanche footage. I'd say it was gutsy to kill off the mother like they did, but then I remembered Jennifer Jones getting it in The Towering Inferno.
XenoKaiju well that's the difference of coming up with jokes for some scenes me selected over doing the hollow movies with only cutting most of a subplot
That's exactly what parenting was like in the 70's. My parents had an MG Midget, which only had 2 seats, and I used to ride in the luggage space behind them.
Nice content, I can tell we are about the same age and saw the same movies on TV and early cable. I normally watch more negative review channels, lol, nice to watch positive review content on occasion!
It's interesting that disaster movies almost invariably have a star studded cast, even if they're produced by Roger Corman. The ultimate example must be "The towering inferno", that has a cast that's like a who's who of Hollywood.
Adam Watson I love that movie. Also stars Henry Silva. Written by John Sayles (The Howling, Eight Men Out, Return of The Secaucus 7, Brother From Another Planet) and directed by Lewis Teague (Cujo)!!!
Any chance of re-uploading your video about the awesome Rutger Hauer movie Split Second? The version on your website doesn't work and it's one of my all time favorite movies. Also please cover his other movies Wanted: Dead Or Alive and The Hitcher.
Gotta love the 70's disaster movies. Has-been actors, new actors, heavy exposition dialogue, and heavy disaster deaths.
They're all bloody awful. But I remember enjoying a miniseries from the 80s or 90s inspired by the Poseidon adventure - about a bunch of people who'd been living in a sunken upturned ship for years.
It's not like Boxcar Bertha was that many years before this, and Cagney and Lacey was still in Barry Primus' future.
Oh, come on! I still choke up a bit at Paul Newman saying to Steve McQueen "I'm asking" at the end of The Towering Inferno.
@@ThreadBomb for the time that sounds like it must have came out pretty bad lol but the premise does have a pretty interesting sound to it. I might have to see if i can find this later too check out a little.
Little Jimmy was never heard from again. 😂😂😂😂
R TRUTH
is upset by that
This was my favorite MST3K episode of the new season.
caffeineadvocate I just saw it
I was wondering why this movie looked familiar...had to check the comments to find out
My fav is the land that time forgot
I honestly think this is funnier than the new season of MST3K.
Jonah does an okay job, but nobody can replace Mike. And the new girl can't hold a candle to Pearl. Just my own subjective opinion, though.
Probably my 2nd favorite after the Bigfoot one. It's interesting that they had to trim so many scenes. I want to see that snowmobile race now.
uh oh spaghettios!
(stickin' around reference? if so. even better.)

The "Uh Oh, Spaghetti O's" had me burst out Laughing!!!
Avalanche is my favorite from the new MST3K. Now I need to watch the non riffed version. Good call on this. Please do more crap disaster flicks.
It’s on RUclips 🎉
How often does one get a viking funeral in an ambulance?
Only once.
"Um sir? Your pie is in fire!"
It's that kind of dry humor I absolutely love in your videos =)
Another great video! You really did this movie justice.
Also, Merry Christmas sir. I'm a little early but what the heck.
This is probably the best video you've done, Cecil! Well done.
your videos are very addictive and well done. thanks and keep it up! its winter here in Canada and my job is boring. i need something to keep me going hahahah
You gotta do more of these types of videos. I love when you give a summary of B movies.
Austin Reale have you watched any of his other vids? They are all literally good bad movies. Hence the name
mike lee I have, I just love the breakdown of the plot
Austin Reale dude. it takes a single guy 100+ hours to make a vid this quality... I'm pretty sure our friend here is a legit one Man show - triple threat -> writing + voice + humour multiply that by his personal interest on the subject... and we have the best good bad movie show 😲😎
meant to be directed at mike. I swear I fixed it. I had being on my phone sometimes. I'm so sloppy vs cpu
ahahahaha no... upon rereading it was for Austin haha for both really! hey!!! atleast we all have good taste in utube channels ;P

Alexandru Sandulache I don't think Cecil has any acting ambitions, but he would be a great writer on the show.
"Is that supposed to be sexy?" out of the blue laughter! Thanks!
There were SO many commentary moments in this one, I'm rating this "Best GoodBadFlicks video of 2017!"
I always look forward to your videos. 10/10 would Good Bad Flicks again.
keep up the good work man, feel like the show's getting better every week
that rugby team joke at :23 was fucking brilliant
I never thought that both Mia Farrow and Rock Hudson ever starred in a New World picture lmao, LOL at flaming diabetes, and Sunny Bono joke lmao, I never once heard about this movie, great video!
The new season of Mystery Science Theater 3000 on NetFlix does a riff on the whole movie if you're interested. :-)
Glasses were made to be taken off very...DRAMATICALLY!!!
CLARK KENT
would agree
It's the only perk of wearing them we've got!
the jokes in this ep were nonstop and hilarious. GoodBadFlicks you rule
I think thats a popcorn ceiling. Everyone had em in the 70s and 80s. Man im old
2:46 Too soon man, too soon.
Six years later, "Sonny Bono impersonation" is still too soon. Rugby team is ripe for laughs, though.
Almost the same plot as 1977's Snowbeast... well minus the Beast... LOL....
SonOfPlatypus I agree.
I just watched that on Amazon. Hilariously awful.
Wow! A movie I actually remember!
Remember from being made fun of on the mystery science theater!
Ill add this to the list of christmas movies to watch with the fam. Should fit nicely between die hard and bad santa
clicking on rocks you forgot to add
Santa with Muscles.
That trash fire is perfect after a few drinks.
13:05 I like the nonchalant that the rescuer is carrying that impaled corpse over his shoulder.
Well Im glad I Forgot all about the Starburst Berries and Cream commercial.
Great humor on this one. Thanks, I needed a good laugh today.
the new season of MST3K did a really fun episode on this movie.
The was the worst ambulance ever. Bad driving caused the death of the old lady.
I prefer the Simpsons episode where Homer and Mr. Burns get trapped under an avalanche. Nice video. I think I got this on a Mill Creek box set. Doh!
Careful Cecil, they could be making an Avalanche remake now, with fake CGI snow!!!
Arent there already movies that use CGI snow by Asylum on SyFy in either disaster or monster movies.
You should review Blood Creek with Michael Fassbender and Henry Cavill. Excellent and underrated horror film.
"He escapes by doing a brief Sonny Bono impression"
OOF! 😂😂
This film does have one of the coolest posters ever, no pun intended. Roger Corman knows how to sell a film with poster art.
Im late to this party but ive watched all the videos and this is my new fav channel.
“Sonny Bono impersonation” 😂 😂
Nice reference to Sled Storm, me and my brother loved that game
That snow didn't need to be color corrected. It was yellow for a reason.
The Berries and Cream Dutch boy lives rent free in my head now.
Who do you think that kiss was more awkward for? Rock Hudson or Mia Farrow? I got Hudson but its close lol.
This was funnier than the revived MST3K episode haha! Silly but enjoyable film.
XenoKaiju well that's the difference of coming up with jokes for some scenes me selected over doing the hollow movies with only cutting most of a subplot
6:37 alright lets make this avalanche happen!! *banging cymbals and triangles*
Robert Forster was also in The Black Hole. I was surprised it wasn't mentioned lol
Great selection! I always liked the cook that was slammed into the stove and then dumped a steaming pot of soup onto himself.
Remember kids... Don't eat the yellow snow!
This is the best channel on the whole damn site!!!!!
Definitely the funniest video I’ve seen from you so far 😂😂😂
Thanks!
That's exactly what parenting was like in the 70's. My parents had an MG Midget, which only had 2 seats, and I used to ride in the luggage space behind them.
I wouldn't watch 95% of the movies u do but i enjoy watching these when u do them
Avalanche is the greatest Roger Corman movie since War of the Satellites.
I saw this in the theater when it came out and the audience laughed their ass off through the whole film 😅😅😅😅😂😀
I think CGI snow would look worse.
Nerdy Texan Accountant Especially in medium and close up shots.
except if it's good , than you wouldn't even notice it .
First xXx (Vin Diesel, not porn) movie had a CGI avalanche ... looked about as good as this one.
quality content weekly! thank's a lot for your hard work
Thanks!
@@GoodBadFlicks you need to watch the yesterday machine movie ❤
The snowmobile scene remind me of arctic thunder
That 70s was a weird time.
holy hell, i haven't laughed so hard in a while. thanks, Cecil.
Berries and creme and sonny bono XD im dead YOU FUCKING KILLED CECIL!!!
Popcorn ceilings were the jam back in the 60s and 70s. I have no idea why.
This is your best so far.
Thank you!
“She could have survived that right” Then fire and flame burst through the vehicle. Hahahahaha
Oh that’s beautiful
I love these videos so much
Nice content, I can tell we are about the same age and saw the same movies on TV and early cable. I normally watch more negative review channels, lol, nice to watch positive review content on occasion!
Yeah I'm a little tired of watching vloggers argue that Lawrence of Arabia is objectively overrated trash
oh god the steve austin part got me good
Ehrmegerd this movie was featured in MST3K: The Return
"Oh, this place is just littered with rugby teams."
Me: Starting out strong today?
I really dig your commentary.
Wonder if Sunny Bono liked this movie?
Fun video as always Cecil!
Awesome as always. BTW CECIL, is there anyway you could re-upload your first 30 episodes???? PLEASEEEEEE
The good old days where your parents could put a popcorn bowl on your head and cut around the edges 😦
great review. i think this film is underrated. good cheeezy fun
I think CGI snow is a little worst lol
I love the obscure movie reviews, man! Keep it up!
The ambulance scene always gets me. I mean just... why? The dude was trying out for WRC.
It's interesting that disaster movies almost invariably have a star studded cast, even if they're produced by Roger Corman. The ultimate example must be "The towering inferno", that has a cast that's like a who's who of Hollywood.
Rock Hudson looked totally natural kissing that woman. Yep. Totally....natural....
He could still get more women in bed than you if he weren't gay. Or dead.
Nice Alive reference
You should do an episode on Alligator sometime, that has Robert Forster in it. Great review, Happy xmas
Adam Watson I love that movie. Also stars Henry Silva. Written by John Sayles (The Howling, Eight Men Out, Return of The Secaucus 7, Brother From Another Planet) and directed by Lewis Teague (Cujo)!!!
Me too it`s one of my favourite movies. Did not know that about Cujo!
yea! gb flicks!
"She died as she lived: completely lit up."
All cars in the 70’s blow up, no matter how little damage they incur.
Never seen angry snow? Come to my corner of Wyoming. It's all we get....
'...just shimmy around like you've got a busted hip...you'll be fine'. ROFL
Roger Corman! I like this film already.
This beauty is 3.8 @ imdb so im assuming it won a bunch of Oscars? :)
Ah, you can always count on some quality time when there is a new episode of GBFlix. And also...I need to buy some Juicy Fruit gum.
You stifle me!
Please do "Night of the Demons".
Best one ever.
Any chance of re-uploading your video about the awesome Rutger Hauer movie Split Second? The version on your website doesn't work and it's one of my all time favorite movies.
Also please cover his other movies Wanted: Dead Or Alive and The Hitcher.
Didn't Hudson do Showdown! with Dean Martin and Susan Clark during McMillan and Wife's run? Also, any chance of your reviewing Embryo?
Berries and cream.. you're great
:)
To this day you can count only the good disaster movies with your hand.
thumbs up for berries and creme
Concept fits better then that of the swarm but still has the same campy schlocky appeal
I'm not sure if you did it in the past. Couldn't find anything. Can you make a exploring video about the critters please?
You are hilarious. I love these.
7:13 PIIIIIIILLLLSSS!
"Sonny Bono impersonation" , wow, that is a lot darker humor than you usually do in your vids.
I heard about this from mystery science theatre 3000 the return
