I had a car that has been sitting for a while because I have a work vehicle I use as my daily driver. Went to drive my personal vehicle recently and saw that my seatbelt and only my seatbelt was covered in mold! Came across this video on youtube and took my car to one of those self car wash services to use their pressure washer. This tip worked better than I could have ever imagined. I was about ready to just buy an entire new seatbelt assembly or spend some $ to have a detailer deal with it. Amazing!
Hey good job don't worry about these nitpickers that have to grow up that are commenting about everything, you did great that's the easiest way to do it!
Hey Bullet, nice video. I ain't complaining; just suggesting.... Next time, you could put some nylon or polyester bag between the seatbelt and the car body. This way you won't need somebody else to hold the belt and at the same time you won't damage your paint.
Buen video bro tambien se kita el mold asi kon la pressure washer o haces otro tipo de metodo para kitarselo no se si me expliko saludos gracias?? ... espero me respondas mi pregunta gracias
Hey bro, what size is your rims and tires on the Accord? I have a 2000 Accord EX, 4 door., I hear 17” are the best size for performance. My brother runs 18’s on his 96 Accord.., but not sure.,
@makarov000008 I would use 1800 PSI with a 40 degree tip just to be safe, I’ve used that PSI on my hands by accident & it didn’t damage them, that’s the best PSI to use on it. Yes, you can pressure wash fabric seats & seatbelts etc, & carpet, you just gotta not use more than 2000 PSI.
It’s the hands. Most people don’t clean their hands. That’s where the dirt’s coming from, not so much from the air. Think about how many decades of dirt, grease, oil, food and liquids are on that belt. Then add decades of dirt and pollen that are in the air.
This is actually really bad for your seat belt. It tears the fibers so when you get in a accident it will stretch and possibly fail under pressure. It changes the tinsel strength. For you that's your choice but if you have children I would be very cautious about doing this. Manufactures suggest only a mild soap and wash cloth. I-car recommends only a damp wash cloth. Im not trying to be negative but for people who have a family they transport this is not a good recommendation and definitely could cause serious harm depending on the situation.
@@LEVIN6921 yeah good point if they keep a 400IB person safe in an accident they should be good 😂 lol. I use 1800 PSI & 40 degree tip to be safe. But yeah, they can handle more than people think. My pressure washer wouldn’t damage anything. I’ve accidentally used it on my hands & it didn’t hurt. Just know how much PSI to use & your good.
@JIFFY CLEAN well how the heck are you supposed to get 20 year old car seatbelts clean then. Also, has somebody really confirmed this. Try pressure washing a junkyard car’s seatbelt & then sit inside once it’s dry, put the seatbelt on & pretend to get into an accident by slamming yourself forward. See if the seatbelt fibres come apart. If they don’t & it still works good, then you should be alright. Try it on a car at the junkyard before trying it on your own car just to be safe.
Love this guy hes so helpful I've worked on my accord without taking it to a.garage I love you brother your ideas are awesome
Thanks bud
I learn alot from this guy ✊🏽let them complainers complain they still watching tho🤣🤣

Wow!! Loved it, fast clean!!
Wow, would have NEVER thought to do this. Thanks!
Quick, easy, smart. Thanks.
Good method I'll be using shortly
Apply a vinegar solution with water to prevent it from stinking. But nice job.
Or tie the belt to a fence post or tree or another tall and sturdy object

Depende de donde está el mold, pero para el mold uso all purpose cleaner y cepillos, si el mold está en la carpeta uso extractor

Lol these belts can hold 3 tons. Do you think water can damage them? Really? Detailers even steamclean them with no problem.

The metal is against the paint yikes
Imagine if that’s your car 😂😂
YOU DO NOT WET CLEAN SEATBELTS! This compromises the structural integrity and removes the flame resistance.
