This AA album has the most heart and soul put into it. All the regret and pain over the years really makes these songs hit places they never did with previous AA albums. This album is what it means to grow as a band and grow as people. Everyone feels pain and suffering, but only the strong can come back from them and use it as a catalyst to make themselves stronger. Keep up the good work guys, stay strong.
I'm glad there is still intelligent people in this world that can appreciate a powerful and heartfelt song.

Yeah, I knew I recognized that melody. That was my favorite track off that old album. Was a nice callback I think. I love when bands reference their earlier work and give perspective on what's changed anf what's stayed the same.

This comment is about 4-5 years late on my part, but this song is literally a dream come true. Not only is it just a great and powerful song, but year before an old friend of mine and I were talking about how the ending of "If You Can't Ride Two Horses...." could be it own song and we wished it had been. How lucky I feel for it to essentially become one. When does that ever happen?

@@favianmendoza1386 No, what they say makes sense and I'm so glad they also realized it. If you go to "If You Can't Ride Two Horses At Once... You Should Get Out Of The Circus", you'll see the lyrics "I never expected to be here alone" in the final stanza. For the chorus here, I always believed you could subtitute it with that final stanza.
Hands down my favorite song on the album. I'm glad Asking Alexandria are still killing it.

This song is my favorite on album. It has a good combination of old and new asking alexandria. Honestly if the whole album had this vibe I think some of the fans that were disappointed with this album wouldn't be. But hey, you can't make everyone happy. They made me happy though!

You can hear the pain in his voice. This album is a real treasure in my opinion. Sure it doesn't sound like SUAS or R&R but it's still Asking at its core. Great job boys excited to see the new material live.

Not a lot of music gives me chills any more, but this song does and so do some of the other songs on this album. This is seriously one of the best albums I've heard in a while and I'm constantly listening to new music.

I know someone has probably already mentioned this, but I find it so cool that the vocal melody that begins at 0:30 is basically the same thing, but faster, as the part that begins at 2:43 in the song "If you can't ride two horses at once..." I wonder if it was intentional.
I'm a fairly new AA fan and listening to this song brought me to tears knowing the meaning behind it and the lyrics. Beautiful song!

Personally I think this song is very close to a masterpiece... the way the lyrics are constructed are very clever and poignant. What I have noticed and would be good to get people's feedback is - I think they Danny has song the song exactly how was feeling when he had his overdose! If you notice the way the lyrics are song through the verses get angry, scared and end at plain desperation! And then mellow out once his saviour enters the room and the second part of that verse is then sung in anger at himself. Please feel free to comment as I have noticed this and not seen a comment a long this of thought with the composition of the lyrics.

The lyrics.... i had a suicide attempt two years ago. The third one of my life. And i swear, this lyrics represent everything i felt when i thought it was the end. I was so scared when i realized i fucked up. My mom saved me, and the doctors said that i would've died if i had arrived two minutes later to the hospital. Theres no hell or heaven or anything. Theres just black, emptiness and loneliness. I wasn't scared to die. But now i am. I dont want to go back to that emptiness again.

So, since this is the last song, instead of using my brain and not writing my comment I am gonna give my opinion. Yeah opinions are a thing in this world, but this is 2017 and people forget about that. So, 2 things.
First of all, this album is just like Danny said. Breaks every rule in the book. A new face of AA. Listening to it, it was great. Didn't feel much old AA, but still loved it. There was however one thing I hated a lot.
The comments. Most people with a brain didn't write comments, as it is more or less pointless, and I realize I should not be writing one too but I like to live dangerously... and brainlessly.
Anyway, point is, *most* people (disclaimer: not all) either say they hate it and that AA sucks now, or that they love it. And then they respond to a comment of different opinion with vulgarism and start fighting. *Seriously?* If you hate it, either write a comment that says why without being overly rude to people of different opinions or AA (since thay can make whatever music they want) or do not comment at all. And if you love it and then respond to a hate comment (or worse, just a comment that might be saying they don't like it without being rude) by calling the author an emo kid, and some more vulgarism, you should not respond as well, since that doesn't make you any better.

I know you get this a lot, but you guys are my favorite band and I cried seeing Danny perform after one year being out of my band(dec. 4th,2017) I support AA so yes I listened to the black, but, I've listen to Danny's solo and his band We are harlot! so if you havent please fans, check it out! I just wanted to note how dedicated to their fans and family AA really is. From Ben starting Serpent co that sadly didnt have the alien shirt I had hoped to buy for my best friends B day to the blossom of Danny's Solo Career, you guys are the led zepplelin of the 2000s and I am going to get a tatttooo from the someone somwhere Lyrics. Asking Alexandria have always meant so much to me up until the point where Danny left. Dannys emotion (especially in From Death To Destiny) got me through each every day back in my "teen" years. I was heartbroken when he left, tried to give Dennis a chance but I just couldn't bring myself to like it. I've lost track of them until Danny joined back in and honestly, I am crying right now.
Their style changed but goddamn it, Danny can and IS showing his full potential as the extremely talented and gifted singer he is. I am so glad he is still alive, not only because this album is another fucking masterpiece but also, because he can continue to inspire people, can continue to REACH people.
I am just a puddle of feels right now... Ugh.

Just finished the album on Spotify, and honestly I forgot that I was even listening to Asking Alexandria. Not a bad album at all. I honestly like it, but if it was one of Danny's side project, then I feel like it would be more fitting? The Black felt more like AA, even though it was a soft version of AA. Idk, this album just feels very out of place in my opinion. Not a bad album, it's honestly pretty good, even though I thought I was listening to a different band this whole time. Opinions on it?
