- On this day in 1996, 2Pac hit the studio and recorded the original version of "Thug N' Me Thug N' U" with Death Row R&B Artist Jewell. This song was a part 2 to "What'z Ya Phone #" that was released on "All Eyez on Me". After 2Pac died, the song was remixed on "Until The End of Time" with K-Ci & JoJo and removed Jewell, due to her at the time lying on Suge Knight.

the retail is actually better to me. i hear you but this isnt the best example of them ruining his music.they used this beat for "letter to my unborn" & pretty sure it was expensive to sample m.jackson so it made sense to use it for a radio song vs a song that wouldnt be promoted.this was why they changed alot of those beats becuase they were samples they were probably too expensive to clear.

I think it was a good call repurposing this instrumental for Letter 2 My Unborn, though I would've liked if they kept Jewel for one of the Thug N U remixes.

Yeah that confused the shit outta me just yesterday cuz I've been bangin this for about a month. Then I go to listen to the full "until the end of time" album, and there's the thug in me with a different beat that can't touch this, and Letter 2 my Unborn with this beat, which again didn't fit the track as optimally as it did here.
