Honestly the most subtle and amazing thing about S2 is just the subtle ? after the title. It changes how you think and read of the title. Love is war? Honestly S2 has some of my favourite moments in the show outside of an entire Ep in S3.
If you notice, during the intro when the title card comes up, it shows the full title of the show: Kaguya-sama wants to confess Geniuses' battle of love and intelligence But the second part gets crossed out.
I love season 1 and 3, but for me season 2 kaguya-sama is a masterpiece in romcom genre. The mixture of the drama and commedy are masterfully crafted, and concluded with an amazing final episodes. The voice acting by Koga Aoi (Kaguya) here is one of the best performance I've ever experienced in any genre.
Season 2 is certainly the funniest by a wide margin. Though I have to wait and see how Season 3 adapts the remaining material for the arc to judge it against the previous seasons.
I have split my sides several times this season already with how goofy Kaguya has been, her will fraying I can't wait til you get to the Sweet Taste episode lol
You'd be surprised later on who Ishigami actually have feelings for. But worth the damn wait because of all the character growth he and the other person went through. It seems unlikely but they will end up together. That's why Ishigami is the true hidden MC and will always be my fave character among all, even more than Miyuki.

Koga Aoi really deserves appreciation on voicing Kaguya, no wonder she even won Best Actress at the Seiyuu (Voice Acting) Awards back then in Japan
