Are you still rolling with the binder for your games?
I still keep my retro games in cd binders.
I have a few Resident Evil ps1 games in a small cd case hehe
Yes, my wife was sick of the cases and she thought she was doing me a favor by getting rid of them.
no but i remember having binders full of burned disks a long time ago
I still have most of my older disc games in a binder. I still have the cases in my garage. I just don't have the shelf space for all of them.
3:00 The OCD in me is wanting you to go back and line those disks back up the way they were when you took them out 😅.
I was still storing the games inside the original cases myself back then.
Crave was the annoying ass company that always forced their dumb logo as your VMU's icon on any game they published on Dreamcast, i hate them for it.
I'd love to see a Superman game that mostly deals with compounding rammifications of decisions you make in a choose your own adventure realtime action open world. Where all the villains, and your allies are all running in the background the whole time, and they change dynamically as you make choices. Make it playout like a movie that plays about 40 hours long to 100% and make a couple hour long tutorial in Smallville, where you are growing up learning about your powers. Most of the Superman content I've seen over the years focuses on morality, consequences, and relationships.
Retro collecting is becoming unaffordable. Spent almost $100 CDN on a complete copy of Zelda Spirit Tracks yesterday. It was like 30 bucks two years ago
I kept all my PS2 games in a CD case like that back in the day. Still have them there stored somewhere in the closet.
I do this with my games still 😂 But, I take it to my family's houses to play, so I don't mind carrying all the disc around 😂
Sony is going to strike this because you're showing something they don't support anymore 😂.
They aren't Nintendo
@@joeyisabsb1nintendo doesn't even do that
@@dirpydemon7678 They actually do, they're infamous for striking channels down
@@dirpydemon7678😂😂😂
@@dirpydemon7678Sure? 😂
2:25 for when he opens the binder
Who cares? Your attention span is cooked.
I kept skipping because I didn't like being talked to like I'm some child for 2 and a half minutes. My skipping had nothing to do with an attention span, just his overall presentation which I found to be poor. If I knew how bad it was going to be I would have saved myself the time and just clicked the timecode.
@@shangrilai1990 maybe disconnect from the Internet for a while if the intro to a video bothers you so much. He’s obviously just explaining how it was back in the day for his younger audience that may not know. If it doesn’t apply to you, it’s not hard to just ignore it instead of taking such offense to it. I promise you it is not that deep. Skip ahead all you want but don’t make such a silly excuse why you’re doing so if it’s something you have control over.
I had disc cases like this until I realized that I didn't play multiple games at the same time and keeping them in the box was the safest method.
But now that you brought it up, I might get one again because I'm currently juggling through gaming with more than just one game.
Been using the PS2's HDD to backup and store PS1 and PS2 games due to lack of memory card space. Good way to still have the completed files and still be able to reply from start if you want with space on a card.
you can store PS1 games too? i know you can't really play them unless you use like the popstarter emulator or something
Speaking of Superman, Superman 64 is possibly the worst game I've played on N64.
My brother had a binder like this for his PS2 games, except it was also designed to hold manuals so it was only 2 games per page.
Sadly, he was one who threw away the majority of his game cases, so when he gave his games to me I kinda cringe at that. I have some motivation to one day buy cases for at least some of them.
Was just talking the other day about the giant CD case I kept my PS1 and PS2 games in for a few years. I had a fire in 2007 but salvaged a lot of the discs and kept them in a tall CD-R spindle for about a year until I got one of those massive 328 disc binders. Only have a small one with about 5 old game discs in it nowadays.
I am absolutely the guy who would've alphabetized his games in one of those binders. For a little while, I kept my Switch games in 60-cartridge Unikeep cases and alphabetized my games across multiple cases. Pain in the butt when adding a new game early in the alphabet, but I knew where each game was.
I keep my dvd movies in a dj case, packing more than 1000 in there 😅
My buddy randomly gave me an old 360 game I let him borrow over 10 years ago and all his games were still in the case. I guess he just never moved his old 360 and PS4 games out of the case, so they stay in there lol.
I still keep a small assortment of games in a book like that, but only the games I don't actually have cases for. Funny to think about the history of the good ol' CD book though.
Never used these cases for games. I put all of them in and out of their original box and had the games propped up in my bookshelf - and still have.
GT3 was basically a further refined Gran Turismo 2 HD mode graphics wise. (After you beat arcade mode it unlocked) GT4 really set itself apart as the leader in a whole new generation of racing games. I play it on emulation with just a couple small enhancements and it looks like a PS3 game. It's insane how within one hardware generation we took a leap that big just between the release of those two titles.
Still got a CD binder like this for my old PC games! So many treasures from my childhood.
Superman is in a similar position that Batman games were in before the Arkham game series. Batman had a semi-decent movie based Batman Begins game before Arkham. Now Superman had a semi-decent movie based Superman Returns game before...to be continued?
I have a book for my switch Carts, 3DS/DS carts & Vita carts, but I still have their cases, the only reason I have the books for them is because they are a more resilient piece of physical media than a disc.
The new version of this is the people that put all their switch games in one case holder.
That’s rhetorical exact binder I had for my cds. Mike was red and blue instead. I still have 3 of those cases, one for movies and one for Wii and one for everything else
Not games, but I did have one of these filled with DVD-Rs for a bunch of shows that weren't on physical media at the time, especially Power Rangers.
That's where I kept my burned PS1 and Dreamcast game back in the day.
Ty The Tasmanian Tiger actually got remaster releases for the first 2 games for ps4,Xbox 1 and Switch. Definitely worth a pick up if you want a fun platformer.
I could never roll with a binder like this for my physical console games. I did kinda throw away my cases for portables consoles because they were all gonna stay in my travel case anyways, and I never got to the point where my 3DS case filled up with too many games beyond the spots offered in there
I still have a case with discs in, I used mine for all the demo discs you used to get on the front cover of game mags. Great content by the way ty
I indeed still have my CD case of games and I always stuffed the manuals/front insert in with the Disc when I could. Had to save room.
I have all the binders. Very sadly, I sold all my cartridge games before heading off to college since I had limited space, but I could take hundreds of games/movies in a few CD binders. I still have all my old disc games from the PSX through to current day! For my Gamecube games, I used an empty spindle that was laying around from buying a large amount of burnable CD's, which worked perfectly!
kept my cds in cases like that, but never thought keep my dvds or games like that. I do have a cd case like that for my burned copies of ps1 and og xbox games tho lol.
I still use a binder like this for my burned copies of games, translated patch games for use on original hardware, etc
I always kept my games organized in the original case on the shelf.
I remember people would through away cases and manuals to save space and kept games in a giant disc binder
Oh gawd! I still have these cd cases...not just flwith games but for dvds and music cds.
I had to grab my binder to show my son when you pulled that one out of the box.
Someone out there had a case like this that they stole from my pickup truck along with my stereo and 2 12 inch subs full of chalino Sanchez, los razos and los originales cds good ol times.
Yea I got a ton of games on disc going back to the ps1 era so I have a 520 disc book that's just about full.
It's nice having a gaming room with all my consoles and then all the games in one book.
I keep a binder like this for my old PC games as I ended up losing the cases over the years
Only recently i have accumilated loose discs, and as of right now they are stored in an album case like this. I plan to download covers and find dvd cases to put them in more uniform with the rest of my collection.
I still keep all my old discs in those cases. I separate them by system and alphabetical within the system. I've got two huge binders that hold 200 each and a couple smaller ones that aren't full.
I guess I do actually use a binder of sorts. I keep my switch games in two. The main games I play are in the console case and the rest are in a secondary game cart only binder case.
Most of my ps1 and ps2 games are still in the zip up DVD case😂. They all still work
I rented supercar street challenge as a kid. I thought it was great because you could "design" your own car and race it. Then I played actual racing games 😄
I never even thought to use a cd binder for video games. All my games went in and out of their actual box case each and every time. I suppose it would depend on how many games you were fortunate enough to own back then. So we know you were a big baller as a kid lol.
I have most of my PlayStation games in a dvd case, it saves space compared to keeping them in the game cases on a shelf.
I stupidly made copies of most of my original PS games, then sold the originals because I was young and strapped (I put the CD-R games in a Caselogic). I miss my og copy of Rascal.
These are my favorite kind of SW vids.
I keep my games this way now😂 still have the cases, just packed away in a tote as to take up less space
Been using the PS2's HDD to backup and store PS1 and PS2 games due to lack of memory card space.
I have 5 cd cases and one of those old DJ cd trunks where my older collection resides.
I still have my parents Cd case which they used for movies, music cds and games. I use it for music cds I have when I buy jewel cases and any broken games that I can’t fix cause I just don’t have the heart to toss them
I used to have a small red one for a while but then i kinda missed seeing the cases on my shelf
Not games, but I have 4 binders with dvds, blu rays, and 4k uhd. I also 5 binders with music cds.
When I travel I bring my PS5/PS4 games with me in a small disc binder.
Of course I keep my Ps2 and Ps3 games in a cd case, I don't have the space for the original cases. I own over 200 Ps2 games and over 230 Ps3 games. My Psp collection is stored in Pokemoncard albums
Would be nice if they made a disc drive that could play PlayStation 1,2,3,4,5 and so on with whatever console they have by then with the software to run them.
I have a PlayStation 2 CD case but don't use it really since I sold all the loose copies off to try and get everything CIB.
I didn’t use a binder at all for video games, I occasionally used one for music CDs since those i would actually take with me to listen to in the car through a CD player but why use a binder for games unless your going over to a friends house a lot & it’s a convenience thing?
I still use cd cases for my loose PS2 and my DVDs I have multiple mini ones full a and a couple big ones for the movies like Godzilla Togo collection were it's five discs just stacked on top of each other in the case I'd rather have them in a holder
Nice 45 games for that price what a steal 👍
I never used a disc binder. I keep all my games in their original cases.
C'mon that's just someones trash😂 No one has ever owned a cd-case with ps4,ps3,ps2,wii,xbox and xbox 360 in it...This is someone who has bought games some where incomplete, some where scratched to hell and now he's making a little profit off of it.
I got one of those bad boys in my car full of cds
Behind the TV i have my wii disk in a similar case❤
I have a handful of cases with loose games.
I missed these!
This was a fun video. Thanks!
😂😂😂
All my retro games are in a cd binder. I never keep the cases
Yes, I still keep all my games in cases, c d cases
i still have 2 of these for ps1/ps2 lmao
I used a CD case for Wii games
hi Spawn Wave
Man, I feel old 😢
This looks like a stolen bag 🤣
I remember...
I kept all my games in cases
Audio...
Another thumbnail with his big thumb on it
Storing cd/dvd games in a cd wallet is disgusting. That's one step above a stack of discs just splayed out on top of the console. I never stored my games outside of the original package. I even kept the boxes the snes and n64 games came in. Made selling them far more profitable as well.
Not a remaster it’s just a crappy port
No. This is blasphemous. We always kept the cases.
You're ignored destiny 1 😢 one of the best games of all time, you're not playing destiny 1 and 2?
Still have mine full of burned DVD-R’s of movies and tv shows from Pirate Bay 🫡
